THREE pre-teens have become firm friends, united by the difficult journey that lies ahead for them - transitioning from male to female while still only children. Though they have not yet even begun high school, Lily, Fiana and Zuri have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and will soon undergo medical intervention to prevent their bodies changing from that of boys to men. Lily, 11, from the Austin area of Texas, has already begun taking hormone blockers to prevent her going through male puberty - a decision her parents wrestled with before undertaking.

When I was 11 I didn't want kids, when I was 20 I didn't want kids, when I was 30 I was dying to have a baby. Funny how things can change. Things can change for these kids too. I hope they are mature enough to realize that some of their decisions are permanent, and they may regret them the rest of their life.
Exactly me too I'm now 33 and dying for a child and through my 20s I couldn't care less
SRS regret rate is 2%. Less than breast implants.
Children are absolutely amazing!
The thing is. They aren't mature enough to realize that some of their decisions are permanent.
Being trans is way different than making the decision of having children. Especially when symptoms are shown this young they most likley won't ever change. I will say though that hormone therapy should be 18+ and so a surjury but for surjury I do recommend waiting after 25 to make a final decision. There probably going to be put on hormone blockers which are very easily reversible. -from a trans man

A girl brain and a girl heart. What does that even mean? Can a boy not also be sensitive and compassionate, grow their hair long and play with dolls? Can a girl not climb trees and play rough? We define gender tighter than when I grew up in the 70s.
Yes they can do those things. But gender roles or stereotypes are not the same as gender identity.
Girl brain is like thicker corpus collosum, thicker anterior collosum, size ratio of amygdala to hypothalamus consistent with female gender...
"Girl heart" is just metaphorical and about subjective feelings
@@Susanmugennot all of us, especially us with apd no, not "girl heart" what an insufferable term.

Being trans isn't about interests and clothing
Tomboys are really common, and have nothing to do with being trans.
@@nebulonicc Exactly. But even then, these parents mistook interests and clothing for being trans.
@@nebulonicc That's usually what trans people point as the evidence they were "in the wrong body" all along. It's based on sexist stereotypes and not reality. The reality is there is no such thing as a trans child. Parents are doing this to their children.

Given the fact that I was 11 when I first started to learn about me being a trans girl, but being too scared to accept it for myself in any true way until I was 18, it is very interesting to watch this. I desperately wish I could’ve grown up in an environment where I could be free to express myself. Sadly, I wasn’t though. Living as myself at this age would’ve been my dream. A lot of people don’t seem to understand that the symptoms of this condition can become apparent from as young as 3.
Putting your child on Puberty Blockers before Puberty hits if they display symptoms of this condition is the right thing to do. It will lessen the chances of suicide and the development of severe G/SD [Gender/Sex Dysphoria], as well as lessening the chances of developing the common comorbidities, such as Depression and Anxiety Disorders.
I don’t get it. I played football with the boys and was into cars and other toys made for boys. I didn’t like shopping, makeup, or playing dress up and even wondered what it was like to be a boy. It was just a phase, though. I’m glad my parents weren’t crazy like this.

It’s okay for them to ask to be referred to as a girl if they truly feel female but I don’t think they should alter their bodies yet (like hormones or surgery). There’s too many kids (and adults) who transition and regret it later in life. Sometimes it’s really hard for people detransition and it puts them in a horrible mental state

When I was 11 I had a mental age of 19 very few adults could understand why my vocabulary was better than theirs and several times if I joined a conversation before somone saw me they assumed I was much older and did I double take when they realised I was 11 by the age of 13 I was actually organising adults and advising politicians and helped run an election campaign that nearly got an mp in to parliament I can understand that people would consider 11 to be quite old
I want people to know that before someone transitions, it typically takes at least 2 years minimum (maybe longer in some states and countries) of therapy and lots of discussion with professionals and many doctors to realize if it’s the right choice. Please stop having the mindset that people just wake up and randomly decide their changing their gender.
ik but children? Seems so out of order..
That's not true my friends child starting hormones a month after saying they were trans.I believe people should be who they are but I think a child should wait till they are older because you change so much as you age
@@stephduddy3619 did they start hormones or puberty blockers (although both can be reversed fyi) and how do you know they weren't working with professionals before coming out to you? maybe they had been going to therapy for a long time and were about to start transition so they told you, so you'd know
@@annie6756 It's not "out of order". The body is just a vessel for the brain, and "who we are and how we see ourselves" is an entirely different thing than the physical development / deterioration of the body. If “Truly” was truly a non bias channel they would document videos of de-transitioners as well, I feel like their voices need to be heard too, there’s a tremendous amount of negative backlash and judgement from a certain community for those people who do not necessarily want to say anything negative about transitioning but simply want to encourage proper evaluation. But Truly will never go against its own agenda.
they talk about trans people, not non-trans people. It's very reasonable.
OH BROTHER! Heres another possible reason why.....
Detransition is more common in the earlier stages of transition, particularly before surgeries. It is estimated that the number of detransitioners ranges from less than one percent to as many as five percent.
Coming from a trans man, I feel bad for de-transitioners. They truly aren't heard enough, and a lot of people think that it's shinning a bad light on the trans community when it's not.

@@thethethe7892 you didn't know because no one said it but now we're connected and people are more aware of the existence of gender dysphoria. You could apply that to anything that wasn't in the news during your childhood. They teach the word pronoun in elementary school English though.
And you have to view things you don't understand from the perspective that's actually involved. Kids and parents often know by age 3 or 4 that they're different. Ignoring the dysphoria wouldn't make sense.
@@thethethe7892 Yes they are all being brainwashed even though they are constantly inundated with the cisnormative culture they decided otherwise. Just like the gays right?

To be honest recent times are scary this young generation is scaring me I don't know what to think about it anymore
Oh my gosh! They're 11 YEARS OLD!!! And they are transitioning as a group with a group mentality! I bet atleast one of them will regret it when they grow older. This is like allowing a 11 year old to get plastic surgery for their looks. If they didn't say it was because they thought they were trans this would not be allowed. Transition when your older atleast 18. Please don't allow literal children who aren't even teenagers yet make a life altering decision like this.
Calm down lmao. Definitely in Texas and in most states you need to be 18+ to just get hormone therapy. Surjury is also usally 18-21+. For hormones it is also a 2 year wait list and you need to be medically diagnosed with gender dysphoria. So trust me it's not that easy. Also typically the younger you show symptoms the more likley it's not a phase
So this is basically the comment section

Eric Cartman wdym by transphobe?? Just because I recognize that gender dysphoria is a mental illness and should be treated as such, doesn’t mean I hate adult transgenders. They’re fine tbh. Its just that they need to be mature enough to transition, and 11 is far too young
And those 99% of comments are pointing out that an 11 years old doesn't think about what gender they are. These kids have been manipulated and influenced by their mothers. The fathers silence in this video speaks volumes.

AAAA- this video makes me so happy-! My friend is trans, and he's amazing- and seeing these girls figure out who they are and just be happy with themselves- **Sigh** I don't even know how to explain how much joy this video brings me-
sigh
What makes you think they figured out who they are? Studies show most children diagnosed with gender dysphoria get over it after puberty. Their parents put them on puberty blockers and robbed them of a normal life.
There was a time in my life that I honestly believed that the word transgender and the word kid/child should not be used in the same sentence. I believed it was something that kids should not think about, that they should be just being kids, but I did plenty of research and discovered that many kids cannot be kids if they are not happy in their own body. If they are too busy trying to figure out why they don't feel like they are happy with who they are, there is no time to truly live life. I know of many situations of which kids keep their thoughts inside until they are adults to avoid huge family conflicts. That does not permanently make that go away. It will usually still happen even if they wait until adulthood to speak of it. That and saying it early makes a huge difference in a child's mental development. There is tons of information that is just not deniable. There's cases of kids who do come out young but are not accepted and sometimes forced to act as if those feelings do not exist and continue being who they are in that moment. All that does is create a very stressed, depressed, and reclusive child. I have learned so much and my opinion is to let them be them. There will be struggles and ups and downs, but overall you'll have a happier kid.
You had it right the first time.
I’m female and when I was a kid I loved to dress in boys clothing, play with action figures and toy swords, dress up as a knight, etc. Eventually grew out of it, and now I’m super girly. Parents should be careful allowing kids to make such important decisions that have permanent consequences based on what could have been a temporary phase.
Edit: I understand being a tom boy and transgender are different. I’m just pointing out the changes we go through in life, so I’m saying be careful and take some time to really consider before making such drastically permanent decisions.
How is being a tomboy the same as being trans? You are conflating gender expression (masculinity and femininity) and gender identity (female, male and other). Being trans is more than how you behave and dress.
Wait does this mean imma be super girly noooooooooo
I agree .i was a tomboy and my mom was to growing up. Its the same thing they just take it to a next level
M its actually the same in so many ways
@@stacynewton34 no it's not, they might get depressed, anxiety and other things, being a tomboy or a girly girl/boy is differently to being trans
When I was 11 years old, I ate bubblegum and my sister convinced me that I had 24 hours to live.
Lol

I'm still waiting :")
I've notice in so many videos about young children transitioning, the father just sits there and hardly speaks.
Nope to young to transition
Exactly, because it's all about the demasculinization of society.
@@ameliaweights You get it.
It's sad tbh
@ameliaweights @Agatha TGCJ Stop your waffling, let people express themselves.
I’m so happy Lily found her authentic self and has best friends to go through this journey with ❤
A sick journey

When I was 11 I ate a spider because I thought that I would be spiderwomam
okay, the dad(s) are low-key not having it lmao
edit: omfg so many likes :o thanks!
Relating to them so hard.
Because he looks like soy boy, like seriously, he is more feminine than his wife
BluePanic [Comen] I hate trans
@@meysahamed I hate you uwu
Those aren’t men. They’re shells of a man.
If they didn't say they were transgender, I wouldn't have known. They all look and seem like girls to me.
Exactly!
Their masculine features have not devolved yet. Boys can pull off being feminine with just some long hair under the age of 12
This is the only positive I've seen so far
Mandy Boven Positive comment? I would never be disrespectful to the people in this community. I find the people that do to be disgusting
@@emilyb7062 disrespectful? That's a funny word for common sense.
The first mistake they made was having a sign that said love is all you need, and love will save the day, because unless you put your trust in Jesus, nothing will be saved, it's better to hurt someone with the truth than to comfort them with lies
These kids use bigger words then I can even process and I'm a teen. 🥲👍
When I was 11 I had a lemonade stand
I drank all of the lemonade
SLURP 😫😫
Your lemonade, hand it over

I said no hate!!!!!! Why is there so much hate on this video ! Just be nice human beings!
HappyCheese yass!!! Spread love and positivity :))
the phandøm phamily with a løve for drama
thanks for the support ! I just don’t get why people have to hate on everything . It’s her choice to be transgender not theirs.
HappyCheese exactly! Honestly I just can’t wrap my head around it
HappyCheese I really agree! The kids should be allowed to be themselves and experiment, so many people. Are just saying that because they're kids they aren't allowed to choose.
@@littlefluffycloud6936 being trans isn't a choice.
They are extremely fortunate to have been able to transition so early. If you're trans, the absolute worst thing that can happen is have puberty strike first. It just makes everything so much more difficult if that happens.
When I was 11, I believed pirates were born without an arm, leg, and eye
No one cares what u did when u were 11
Some are
When I was 11 I wanted to be a cloud
when i was 11 i wanted to be a toaster
when i was 11 i wanted to be otto rocket .
Leona Fraser when I was 11 I wanted to be Obiwan Kenobi from Star Wars.
Still do and I’m 13 I have a Yoda pillow and a lightsaber
When I was 11 I wanted to be an attack helicopter
Zero Gravity how long did it take you to think about that one? Never heard it before
I want to see her again at 18. Puberty has not even hit yet. Ive heard stories by guys who felt like this but then later on they were glad they didnt transition because they wanted to stay guys when they got older.
ive heard stories!! it must be trueeeeee!!
@@-valkyrie-00 I have a long tounge!!!! So I must be a lizard!!!!!
Thats why hormone blockers are important. They don't give estrogen or testosterone until at least 14, usually later. Often not til 18
I think the hormones they will take will actually block their puberty..
It's no longer listed in the DSM.
@babe brown
when i was 11 i was balancing the light switch in the middle
Yes. Let's just let children make all the decisions. Weak or agended parents.
what age are you talking about cause this kids are gonna regret it later
@@keksolean1625 unlikely the detransion rate is less than one percent

"I'll see myself out" good.....

Trans names dont have to be always similar to the old one. It depends on the person!! :)
When I was 11 I was fvckin having the time of my life playing Pokémon

I'd love an update on these kids
With the suicide rate for trans being so high it's probably 50/50 if they are even still alive in 2023.
What a dumb world we live in.

Nobody:
Not a single soul:
Everyone in the comments: *wHeN I wAs 11, i WaNtEd To Be a ToAsTeR*
@Quazi Roberts Then consider me a raging homosexual~
I said microwave doofus
Well, i mean... I kinda want to be a tOaStEr
The "Nobody: " meme almost never makes sense. It was initially meant as a joke about someone saying or doing something completely unexpected and out of nowhere, but in this case it makes _tons of sense_ that people would be talking about what they did at 11 given the topic of the video, and literally *_tons of people_* are commenting about it which is the _complete opposite_ of "Nobody"
- it's such a bad joke at this point.
*same*
I think it’s a very wonderful thing to know who you are this young .
some people go years and years and years not knowing who they are….. maybe a whole lifetime.
I’m so proud of you girls
I'm not convinced anyone actually knows who they are, everyone is just pretending and following others.
You just assume they know who they are because its convenient for your ideology.
@@thirtythreeeyes8624 100%. Kids are ignorant. These parents groomed this to happen. Just wait for all the suicides that will unfortunately come of this insanity.
This is beautiful. To have the love and support of your own family coupled with that of friends & their parents who truly understand you. 💗
