    Looks easy enough. My error code was also P0218 - Thermostat Rationality (replace thermostat). I had to wait a couple of days for warmer weather to do the repair, so I kept a constant eye on the engine temp. It rose slightly higher than normal, but never rose above the 1st mark (still in the bottom 1/4 of the gauge). My issue started once the weather turned cold. It reset the first time, but now it's 2 days without a reset, so time to swap it out.

      You mentioned mixing distilled water with 50-50 anti freeze. I think you meant mix 50% distilled water with full strength antifreeze. 50-50 is usually referred to pre-mixed antifreeze.

    I bought my Pops his first pitbull. He heard the stories and I wanted to show him it's how you raise them. After 7 years CoCO and him was best friends. Unfortunately his neighbor Changed his antifreeze and let it go all over the ground. It ran down the hill into a puddle. She drank some and 2 weeks later she Unfortunately passed. They love the sweetness. It's extremely toxic.

      Electrical connector on the TB or clean it with contact cleaner. No idea for the stability control based on where you did the job.

    How long should I have the vent screw loose while the car is running?
    15, 20 minutes?
    Or until no more fluid comes out from the vent screw on the new thermostat?
    And should the heat be on?
    Any other variables for this process?
    Thanks!

    • @LJsGarage
      @LJsGarage  5 місяців тому +1

      Heat on recommended and it took me about 3 rounds of about 3-5min a piece to bleed completely. Try not to let it get too high in temp as you're doing it

    Coolant is super bad for small animals. All coolant has bitter guard in it if you bought it from the parts store. Not sure about factory fill.

    • @Ada-zn3pw
      @Ada-zn3pw 10 місяців тому

      His coolant wasn't the 50/50 it was the concentrate. Not sure why he said that but if you look at the end when he holds them up it's the concentrate

    • @LJsGarage

    Did he tell ppl to get 50/50 coolant and add water?! I know what the jug says but if you’re trying to tell ppl that don’t know how to do things how, make sure you give correct info.

    • @LJsGarage
      @LJsGarage  9 місяців тому

      I could have explained that better for sure no need to be feisty. I had the concentrate and mixed it 50/50 but I was trying to explain both options including the premixed and ended up stumbling.

    What the coolant level should be in the overflow bottle when engine is cold?

    • @LJsGarage
      @LJsGarage  2 місяці тому +1

      Between both lines. It usually doesn't fluctuate too much once bleeding is done. It will fill all the channels and radiator and then level out in the overflow. Hope that helps
