What’s the movie Indecent Proposal about?
David (Woody Harrelson) and Diana Murphy (Demi Moore) are a married couple and have loved each other since highschool. Diana is a top-notch real estate agent and David is a talented architect hoping to establish himself by designing their dream project: a beachfront house in Santa Monica in which the lovers have invested everything they have. However, when the recession hits, their finances take a nosedive. In a last desperate effort to save their land from being repossessed, they head to Las Vegas determined to win the money through gambling. Unfortunately, they eventually lose everything. That’s when John Gage (Robert Redford), a mysterious billionaire, makes them a bold offer: he’ll give them $1 million if he can spend a night with Diana.

This was a great movie. It was also a cautionary tale. This couple made a big mistake taking Robert Redford's offer. That million dollars wasn't worth it. It broke hearts and shattered a good and loving marriage. A poet once said "Love is as powerful as death and its jealousy is unyielding like the grave."

Real Love is something very few will ever see and much less know. For those that are gifted w true Love, too often they don’t realize just how fragile that Love is until it’s too late. To think you could buy Love is laughable. People have killed, died, ran into burning buildings, slept in the rain, traveled thousands of miles, given up everything to be w someone they Love. Something so strong can also be helpless, fragile and not last long. Take care of your Love. If your lucky enough to Love someone, protect that at all cost because in the very end, I’m talking death bed stuff, it will be the most important thing in your Life.

What a movie. I remember seeing it in the theater with my HS gf and at 15-16 I had little to no interest in it but now as an adult, such a simple yet profound concept that really weighs heavy. Personally, I could never do it. I’m far too old fashioned and traditional to be ok with the woman I love being with another man for money? There’s just no amount that I could justify being ok with it. It would tear my heart out and ruin our lives. I’m sure I’m not alone and their acting is some really incredible stuff, really materializing the ugliness, pain and distrust. No answer will ever be the right answer. It will never be the same again, your bond is broken, the person who you found solace and support in is now…not that. The pain of betrayal is just fucking horrible.
