Not that you asked or anything, but it is *super* adorable that your kids have geckos that share their birthday, which you kept for them. My heart is melting here
This video is such a vibe. When I am in a stressful moment and I go to my happy place it's going to be this gecko room watching you feed these things lmfao. Thanks for posting.
Have you tried one of those misters they use on plants that you pump with a plunger on the top? I find it so much easier than the hand spray. I don’t use one with a separate wand. It’s all one piece with a thumb trigger on top for spraying. It’s a dream to use over the hand sprayer IMO.
Good to see a bigger breeder using a rack system... I've caught flak for it cause I've done it for years with snakes and thought it was a great idea for babies also cause lids are a pain
Snakes thrive in racks, I had a ball/royal python she would eat a lot better in a rack than a tank. I had to feed her gerbils for a while until I bought a rack, she was calmer too.
Thanks for watching! You are right a dark container is best for long term storage. Over the course of a few weeks however it wouldn't make any difference.
Where is the papertowlholder at the sink?^^ great video, feels like you unknown stole my system haha. Keep on making those wonderful videos to teach and show to people 👌👌
Thx for the video. How often do you really feed? And really change the paper towels etc? Not how often sould you... how often do you actually do it. 1000x babies is a lot to care for. I have 150.
The babies get fed 3x per week and cleaned on an as needed basis while the feeding is done. I have one employee who works here and does a bunch of the cleaning and feeding with me.
When do we know the crested gecko is ready to be moved to a bigger enclosure ? I just got a 3 month old and have 18×18×24 reafy for it but im scared of moving it too soon into it. Rigth now i have it in a similar container to what was shown in this video.
Great video! This is definitely giving me ideas when I have some babies hatch very very soon. Where did you get those racks? Or did you make them yourself?
Great video Brian, I have always been curious about your methods and setup. So nice to see how you manage the process. Thanks for sharing. I have raised a whole bunch of Leos this year (for the first time), I have been amazed at the variety of colours, markings and personalities they all have from the very start (both parents are just the normal non morph colouration). I agree with you it is fascinating and satisfying watching them grow and develop. Ps This is my favourite video you have posted :0)
For this type of setup, can baby gargoyle geckos be kept like this as well? I thought they need something rough like cork bark to rub up against to when they go into shed
Just got two sweet babies! Any tips on how to get the babies to settle down with handling? I heard somewhere there reactiveness as a baby will be a reflection of how they will be as an adult.
Great Video As my Crested Gecko breeding hobby becomes bigger I like to see how other large operations do the basic tasks like Feeding and cleaning. Do you treat your water to remove chlorine?
@@AltitudeExotics assuming you are on City Water and not well water? The more research I do the less I am inclined to believe products like ReptiSafe Water conditioner are necessary.
@RyGuy125 distilled takes all of the micronutrients from the water. If you're unsure about your tap, just use bottled spring water or get a water filter like brita, that's what I do.
With the insulation pipe stuff, I was always told to cut it like a sub roll just in case because geckos can sometimes get stuck if they try to turn around even though they can just walk straight out the otherside, I feel this would be an issue with bigger adults
How does repashy make a pineapple flavor if you aren't supposed to feed citrus fruits? Is pineapple not as high in citrus as I thought? Is it a freeze drying process?
@@AltitudeExotics Oh ok, then do u have to cycle them one more time in pure water or no,, all the bleach comes off in the wash right? Thanks again Sir =)
If you can look for reptile expos in your state/country, you may be able to see when the next time they visit will be. When I got my first leopard gecko I had to wait a month for the expo to come to a city 45 minutes away from me so I could buy him from a breeder instead of going to petsmart.
My gecko won’t eat anything but the original repashy THATS IT she’ll take a criket like once a month but coming to paste she won’t even try another flavor
You should do the adults next and a full breeding room tour.
I agree
Totally
yes
“This is my blender where I mix all my geckos” I THOUGHT YOU WERE BLENDING RHE GECKOS 😂😂😂
Thats why my RB SH girl eats like godzilla!
A Rustbucket x Speechless girl, she must be a beauty!
I’m glad I’m not the only one afraid of the gecko biting but I love them 😭😅 I get so much anxiety lol but they’re so cute.

Love it! Would definitely love to see a full facility tour!! !
All of your gecko content pushed me to finally get a baby crested gecko 😅 they are so pretty though, simple Halloween flame but I'm so ready
I love this! Welcome to the club!
Please use cold water with washing the plastic. Warm water can introduce endocrine disruptions
dude you're a saint! Thanks for all you do! Look at all those happy Cresties!!
I absolutly love these kind of video 😁
really interesting, i hope there will be more videos from your breeding rooms 😊
Love your description of the babies biting 🤣 I get freaked when they move fast
Its so nice too see behind the scenes and that lily white is a beauty
Wow!!! So many beautiful babies 💕😍❤️
This was awesome to see! Thanks and I hope you can continue this type of series with your adults and breeding groups!
Ah yay! I love videos like this, its always so neat to see the inner workings of a whole breeding operation
Oh I LOVE this! I love seeing other peoples reutine and it always helps with my own. AND its just so cool to see so many geckos! =D
Very nice set up. Great video thanks for sharing knowledge and best practices.
These videos are so fun to watch! I love these types of videos!💞
Great video. Clearly explains your ingenious method.
Man not even close to that number but still 50 geckos is a task for sure.
I think he said he has about 12 of those racks... lol

Yes. I love feeding videos with a ton of geckos. Helps me improve my prep and feeding :) also love u and your videos!
Also I thought the pangea needed to be in dark container? Light depleats the vitamins and stuff? Just what I've heard
Thanks for watching!
You are right a dark container is best for long term storage. Over the course of a few weeks however it wouldn't make any difference.
True. U do go through them pretty fast im sure 🤣
This is video is awesome, thank you for sharing Brian!!
Me thinking how he got so many contacts
I do the same thing when my white tree frogs bite me...it doesn't hurt at all but I still jump about a mile! Lol 😂
It's a human instinct I think...
I’ve flinched at hatchling Ball Pythons instinctually as well.
Wait is tap water ok to use?
It depends on what is in your tap water, but in the majority of places yes it is perfectly safe.

They are custom made by a friend of mine
Obviously didn't watch the video......
@@OkNoBigDeal ya your right and listened to the whole thing and only glanced at it from time to time.

Thank you so much!
I love geckos

Yes I have raised baby gargoyles in these setups before
Your so badass man. I love you setup and the little gifts ya give me to better my breeding everytime I watch ya
Thank you so much!
Just got two sweet babies! Any tips on how to get the babies to settle down with handling? I heard somewhere there reactiveness as a baby will be a reflection of how they will be as an adult.
So do you use anything to remove any chlorine or floride from the tap water?
I do not
Great Video
As my Crested Gecko breeding hobby becomes bigger I like to see how other large operations do the basic tasks like Feeding and cleaning.
Do you treat your water to remove chlorine?
Nope, I have always just used tap water
@@AltitudeExotics assuming you are on City Water and not well water?

Yes we are on city water.

I was wondering which feeder last longer crickets or locusts? because I only have one gecko and he doesn't each that many
I've never used Locusts, they aren't a common feeder here in the USA
@@AltitudeExotics Ok thank you anyway!
With the insulation pipe stuff, I was always told to cut it like a sub roll just in case because geckos can sometimes get stuck if they try to turn around even though they can just walk straight out the otherside, I feel this would be an issue with bigger adults
I only use this with the youngest geckos
Is that just city water or well and does it have filter on the line? Serious question.
I use strait city water
How exactly do you get them to start eating? Do they just find it in their tub?
Yep, they don't need any help. They will find the food and eat!
how do you feel about adding extra calcium to the gecko diet mix from Rapshy or Pangea ?
I do generally add some extra calcium for my breeders at the beginning and end of each breeding season.
@@AltitudeExotics thank you for the information
Smart idea growing them up before selling :)
Loved this! Thank you.
Great vid!!!
Can you show how you hold your juveniles?
How does repashy make a pineapple flavor if you aren't supposed to feed citrus fruits? Is pineapple not as high in citrus as I thought? Is it a freeze drying process?
Why don’t you put them in arboreal setups?
Lol what a great video your funny and have a great collection one of the best 🙌🏼 down
What does you feed to this small gecko.....?
Love your setup soon I'll doing the same.
We need to know what to feed a baby found gekko and where to get food.
What’s the ratio that you mix for your baby diet
awesome story about keeping the gecko that hatched the night your son was born! What kind of crestie is it?
How do you get your baby grested gecko to eat crickets
Have you never had incidents where crickets nipped at your gecko and from what age do you start throwing crickets in
I have not. We start offering crickets around 2 months
@@AltitudeExotics alright thanks
So using that poisonous sink water doesn’t hurt them?
How often do you feed them I may have missed that part :/
I go over my feeding schedule in depth in this video
ua-cam.com/video/iGQ4P1AO628/v-deo.html
I have 8 geckos and I feel like thats alot of work. I cant even imagine 1000 lol
1000 in the baby room ;)
Why don't the dishes break in the washing cycle?
They just aren't very breakable
I apologize if it's mentioned in the video and I missed it, but does unused prepared food stay over for any amount of time in say, the fridge?
lasts 1 week
Do you have to put the crickets in some calsium
Yes! I forgot to show it but we do dust the crickets with Repashy calcium plus
I would use taller boxes and eco earth
I love the gecko close ups! I What to pet them!
Do you WASH with detergent or just HOT water?
I soak the food dishes in hot water with dish soap, then run them through the washing machine with bleach.
@@AltitudeExotics Oh ok, then do u have to cycle them one more time in pure water or no,, all the bleach comes off in the wash right? Thanks again Sir =)
I do run then on the quick rinse cycle with just water to be extra safe
@@AltitudeExotics Cool thanks =D
How much do you feed an adult crested gecko I have been look but I can’t find any thing
About 2oz per feeding is plenty.
How often do you do this ?
Your website isnt working. Was checking to see if you sold geckos
When can you start handling a juvenile crested gecko? I only pet mine through the enclosure then he runs away lol
Full tour of your facility pleaseeee
one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
That’s so impressive to se 😍! I only had one baby to take care of and lost It due to a prolapse 😓💔.
How often do you feed the adults crickets
Once per week!
How many Brian's are there in the reptile community 😂👍
Repti safe..?
I’ve been trying every local and non local areas and I can’t find any crested geckos, what would be the best and safest way to go about finding one?

how often do you feed them? you said "its baby feeding day" so I assume you do not feed daily?
Did you ever find this out lol Idk if I should be Feeding my baby daily
Tnx for sharing
lol
how did you acquire so many contact lense cases
I order them in bulk from the manufacturer.
@@AltitudeExotics hahaha i really thought you just collected old ones over time 😂
@18:08 in the back of the rack is that heat tape and if so what temp do you set the temp at ? great video
Thats another set of racks behind this one. We keep the whole baby room around 76-77 degrees.
@@AltitudeExotics thank you and thats what I was thinking it was but I just couldn't be sure..keep up the great videos
Thank you
Do you feed crickets every day to the babies?
They get crickets 1-2 times per week.
I am exactly the same when my cat gets me !!! Even when I am playing with him
Do you have any to sell? Maybe my mobile is acting up but the links don't work
I am sold out at the moment but will be listing new geckos every Friday night for all of February and March at www.altitudeexotics.com
Idk if you know but your website link on FB wont work. says it goes against fb community standards and it wont reddirect.
Yep, Facebook and Instagram both automatically block any website that sells live animals.
Are they for sale
I am sold out currently. Everything I have for sale is always listed at www.altitudeexotics.com
👍👍
Geckos!
for anyone thinking the enclosures aren't good for them please remember they are temporary and will be sold! :)
