much respect for Cem for implementing proper mechanics to ensure that the apps support dynamic UI layout, whenever the window is resized. ‘cause it’s one of *the main features* of AUv3s, right? Audiokit, ironically, despite being the foundation for Cem’s development, should definitely take notes here, ‘cause despite how awesome their plugins are, it pisses me off that none (ZERO) of their apps react to window size. i mean, it’s simply *mental* to not be able to use any of them in a portrait mode. you rotate the device from landscape - and 50% of every audiokit’s apps’ interfaces end up being outside of your screen’s border. so you scale down the window to fit the entire thing and end up with a super scaled down version of the UI that’s built for landscape mode, so it’s practically unusable and utilizes a mere ~15-20% of a device’s screen real estate. at this point, because of how consistently they just keep ignoring this aspect of their development, it seems like it’s a deliberate ideological choice in their approach. which is strange and it sucks
Hey Cem, great to see/hear you on here. We’ve chatted a decent amount so it’s cool to put a voice/face to the developer. Glad you did a bud video, Jakob, I’ve been following his work since the beginning. Awesome developer!
If you like that sort of stuff then I have a playlist with all of my haQ attaQ Docutorial style videos in it. These are all longer form, in depth review, demos, interviews etc ua-cam.com/play/PLvNQD1EpaiNNqtgKHIEeq92BmL0UsBft4.html&feature=shared
I needed this video. I was getting turned off by iPad. Sequencing is how I navigate this space as I’m not a musician. I’ve used Cem’s app but it was at a time where I was trying to throw the kitchen sink at things. Thanks Jakob and Cem. Time to go finger things again.
Great to hear an iOS developer with full time career success story! Plus he’s given back so much in code. Stand up guy. I use chordbud 2 so, so, much, it’s a great way to quickly get some progressions going.
A classic Haq video. I love the Bud apps, and Cem is a great guy as well as developer. I know not everyone is a fan of the apps being a collection instead of an all-in-one, for various reasons, but its worked out great for me. I started with one, then got a couple more, and now I've got most of them, and I really like the flexibility of using them in different combinations, and this demo is one that I'm going to rewind several times because there's some really great setups in there - I'm going to steal shamelessly from it 😁. Thanks!
I love seeing demos of multiple apps from one developer in a video - it helps to see how they can work together. I already had many apps from Cem, but ended up getting a few more as I watched your video. It would be very helpful to have more videos like this - highlighting apps from the same developer. So many AUM plug-ins are part of a suite of apps from the same person/company and seeing how they might work together would help users and, probably increase sales for them.
I'll have to try some of these. I don't use AUM, but Loopy Pro hosts MIDI plugins like Octachron and Drambo, so this is exciting stuff for me too. Great video!
These bud apps are wonderful! The new BounceBud is SUPER FANTASTICALLY AMAZING!‼️Thank you Cem for sharing your wonderful creations with all ‼️👊🎉👏👏 Thank you Jakob for this AbFab docutorial‼️👊👏⭐️ Tak! =)
Great video!! Thank you for sharing! I wonder if the products in this video could do create something similar to the generated sounds in the Noir Piano software Question: Is there a way to record midi within AUM? If so, what about the generated music you demoed?
AUM can host apps that can record or import midi. There are loads of options. Personally, for mpe I tend to use Geert Bevin's Midi Recorder and for regular midi (though it can also handle mpe) I use Atom2)
I love his opps, i just hope he will add better access/navigation for mportant parameters which always require many taps and swipes to get there. Selecting scales for example should be 1 tap away. And when the list is too big scrolling/swiping as the only way to get there is. Exploring scales is part of the creative process.
I love Dagger Synth so much, it’s one of the best synths on the iOS platform this year! With dark skin, it will become a cool demon ritual dagger. 😈 @@JakobHaq

Great to hear from Cem. I have used ScaleBud and ArpBud and will certainly be trying some of the others.
Great video, Jakob! Cem is a legend. His output is really impressive.
Mr. Haq again a brilliant vid. Love the fact that you interviewed the creator.

What a great dev. I have a few of his app but i’ll buy one more to support him 😊
Another fantastic docutorial! Cem playful but pragmatic approach to sequencers is definitely a huge help for those of us with 'blank DAW' anxiety.
I LOVE Cem’s apps, I LOVE your tutorial vids. So much love. 😊
Thanks G! 🤍

Hello Jakob, do you know whether PPG Infinite works with IOS 16.7.2?
I have an idea for ios aum app where do I get started how do it cost ???
My utmost respect for the Cem, but Haq, all those daggers on the screen, they are stabbing my eyes! 🫣😂
Dagger synth is amazing. It has a great analog sound and “feel” to it, but I too would love it if it had a dark mode.
