I have tried all older Cem Olcay apps. Very usefull functionality, but GUI is not well thought out. Some apps have a lot of empty space that covers valuable real estate of the screen, while some important features are hidden in long string menu. Which doesn’t let to select and change parameters quickly. I’d like to try some of the newer apps: SnakeBud or LoopBud, as it looks better optimised for iPad.
great videos, great timing, as usual with you! and unlike other reviewers (that i know of at least..) you read the manual and do not begin your videos with the seemingly catchy and widespread (and to me INFURIATING!) opening statement that usually goes along the lines of: “i should begin by saying i am not an expert/know nothing about/know very little about *fill in name or nature of app aboutto be reviewed/walkthrough-ed*” (name of particular app, or synthesis, additive synthesis, etc..) !!! i’m saddened by what u say at the beginning of this video. i seem to have assumed that you enjoy doing them - reasoning probably that one must in order to produce at this level, of this quality. i hope you get some offer by developers, youtube, or that some other thing happens that’ll change your mind (but i suppose that’s be selfish of me! nevertheless... i do. and i am (concerning certain things) selfish. i actually believe that speaking from unocculted/explicit selfishness rather than snaking around p.c. / politeness and other forms and reasons for all kinds of elliptical (tortuous) ways of communication is preferable and more efficient.. but i digress.. before i chose the app i most likely am not going to win - i apologize for the timing but i have been meaning to send you a pm on the AD forum about it - i would ask if you could possibly make a video about Wotja. What im saying is that a smart, even summary video about Wotja from you specifically would be a great gift to many of us and would fill a truly ancient gap (or said in different terms: would not be redundant or even related to anything else available when it comes to intermorphic apps.. i am in Beirut where our economy crashed and 10 $ (US) went straight from costing 15,000 LBP’s to *130,000* LBP’s (no i didnt miss a decimal place..) so you can imagine how your videos have gone from helpful to critical/essential to someone like me (i work exclusively on my ios devices and 70% of the jobs i freelance for are music production/scoring - the rest belong to the visual arts (design & photography). unfortunately 100% of jobs today are barely available or gone extinct (or dormant if one is a idio.. i mean optimistic..!) I use these apps a lot, yes, some very useful ones, though the UX sometimes doesn’t mesh with what I like in an app. Things like the key and scales being in the settings rather than on the main page really annoy me. But very useful apps nevertheless!

I bought Snakebud right away as it provides similar function to one of my favorite virtual modular sequencers. The interface is nice and clean. Of Cem’s other apps, would be most interested in StepBud.
Love Cem, love this! As regards your output I definitely would rather quality over quantity (naturally you combine both!), and I really need to go back over a bunch of yours to reacquaint myself with some apps I’ve let slip of late or haven’t yet quite got my teeth into, so I think you’re right that we could both do with the break. And look after yourself!
Would love any of the apps but euclid goes to party looks cool. As much as I enjoy your UA-cam output I get that you'd need a break now and again, I'll still be here to watch new stuff when it's out.

As usual, a nice review of the app. I agree with your suggestions about needing dotted options for the sequence rate settings. It would be nice if there was a MIDI logic in SnakeBud that scaled the incoming MIDI CC used to control the pattern change to the number of patterns in the instance so you could use the same MIDI source to control the patterns in multiple instances of SnakeBud even when they had a different number of patterns in each instance. Such a technique could be used to generate polyrhythms by creating a different number of patterns in each instance. I would like a copy of SnakeBud.

Thanks man. The problem is, the yoytube algorithm is kit fine with it, it stops showing your vids so much after a week unless you crank out a new vid. This is why youtubers feel under pressure to do a vid a week. Bullshit yeah, but that's the reality, unless you want to see your hard work go down the pan....

As usual, a nice review of the app. I agree with your suggestions about needing dotted options for the sequence rate settings. It would be nice if there was a MIDI logic in SnakeBud that scaled the incoming MIDI CC used to control the pattern change to the number of patterns in the instance so you could use the same MIDI source to control the patterns in multiple instances of SnakeBud even when they had a different number of patterns in each instance. Such a technique could be used to generate polyrhythms by creating a different number of patterns in each instance. I would like a copy of SnakeBud.
Though you could also just use multiple Stepbuds to do this. But yeah, I think it would be good if each app had its own built in song modes

Thanks man. The problem is, the yoytube algorithm is kit fine with it, it stops showing your vids so much after a week unless you crank out a new vid. This is why youtubers feel under pressure to do a vid a week. Bullshit yeah, but that's the reality, unless you want to see your hard work go down the pan....
