About Robin being a potential father, I honestly don't think Robin is any of their fathers. I'm sure they would mention something about it as soon as they encounter Robin, like how they did in the DLC. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't confuse Robin's female variant with the male one, as they are different. The facial features of the female one is not the same. Heck, even their skin tones are different. The only distinctive they have shared in common is their white hair, and the tactician robe (Although I'm a bit skeptical about it, seeing how that outfit is shared with an entire class from their time.) What I'm trying to say is: If Robin's gender being different from what they remember is what's the case, then yes, they might confuse the two. BUT they would quickly write her off as not the Robin they remember after taking a better look. However, that wasn't the case. I have to admit, Severa's conversation was VERY vauge, and not much interpretation can derived from it, but Inigo's and Owain's part wasn't. Inigo recognized him as on old friend, even after observing him for a while. He certainly wouldn't mistake the Female variant for the Male one. Same with Owain. Your thoughts and opinions? The largest implications come from Severa's an Inigo's. Potentially since Severa can see it as somebody faking her dead dad, or Inigo seeing the one dude who actually understands him. Owain is him going "Huh, do I know you. You're very much familiar to me". And then when Rob says yes, he just instantly shuts it down. And still saying "it's like you've known me forever" is hella suspicious. Especially when the only person to know Inigo truly are his parents, who know why he's a flirt, and or his deep rooted insecurities regarding A)Wanting to live up to his parents and B)Wanting to make everyone smile.

Before Nintendo confirmed it wasn't true, I used to think that since in the Before Awakening Fates DLC Chrom calls Hoshido and Nohr the 'mythical kingdoms', something could have happened to them. Some kind of curse or disaster. I had the headcanon Caeldori, Rhajat and Asugi escaped to Ylisse and renamed themselves Cordelia, Tharja and Gaius, after all it said in the epilogue if they survive that Asugi stopped appearing from official records of Hoshido and Nohr, Rhajat's location afterwards wasn't 100% known, and even though Caeldori didn't disappear, she could have easily gone too. To be honest, I would have liked that plot wise... nice f*** up Nintendo...

This is past robin, where he is taken from fates time line due to amiibos bending the reality of space and time. So robin does not remember cause he has not met everyone. that's my logic at least
Incorrect knowledge, as Robin will bring up his Smash encounters-in Smash, he knows both Lucina and Chrom. It's more likely he has not met the Kid characters yet, before he went to Smash.
Supports confirm that they are the post Awakening children. The Lucina convos are strange because it's the Smash version of Lucina so, it's not exactly the smell Lucina that they know.

Its why stuff that happens in smash doesn't impact the plots of the given games. Thoron doesn't look the same...Might be cause of Siegfried's projectile being a recolor of Thoron's projectile from Awakening. Same case for the Wind Tome's projectile being identical to Ragnell's projectile. Though they had no problem imitating the Levin Sword's projectile for the Raijinto. Anyone else notice that?
I don't like Smash Bros Robin. He's so cold and distant. I want Awakening Robin like they gave us Awakening Lucina. At least she is emotional and loves her previous teammates. I don't care if Robin lost his memory, at least show something, even if it's a little.

When Severa calls him "imposter", I always seem to interpret that as "You're not my Daddy!" And before any of you ask, yes I have read too many fanfictions and yes I ship Robin X Cordelia to death.
I kind of find it funny how Inigo, Severa and Owain can't seem to recognize Robin since he's fundamentally the Avatar. As a result, the three know a similar character who plays the exact same role in their world, except he or she has a completely different name and physical appearance. The three Awakening characters make it obvious by mentioning how similar Robin was to the tactician of their world, especially since you can't alternate their name thus they refrain from referencing this character.
Possibly. Really, I think it's more that they recognize him because he looks exactly like the avatar from their world, but likely believe it impossible for him to come to the Fates universe. I'm left wondering if these reactions are based on something that happened after Awakening. Perhaps Robin was never found after sacrificing himself? Maybe the next games will shed some light on it.
Since Odin's secondary class is Samurai in Fates, I always tend to just shove him into the grandmaster class so it utilizes both weapons he can harbor in. I will on occasion also make Laslow a Dread Fighter, because he has Ninja as his sub-class, and again, weapon utilization. Severa I just shove into Bow Knight.

You know somethings been bothering me about Odin's conversation with Smash Robin. With Selena and Laslow they mention Robin as an "old friend". But with Odin he never says "old friend" ANYONE UP FOR A LISSA AND ROBIN SHIP? HEHEHEH!
So this proves 3 things: 1.Male Robin is canon Robin 2.Robin did not marry either Olivia, Lissa or Cordelia since im sure they would of said father instead of friend when they first see Robin. 3.This Robin isnt from Awakening, but from Smash Brothers trophy/toy lore thing.

So I get this is the 'Past" Robin before he meets the children but now I'm officially confused as to which 'world' Owain, Severa, and Inigo belong to. Are they the children from the future past where the adults come to save them or are they the same children that came to Robin's past that we mainly play? Ugh. Why Nintendo? So confusing. What if in their realities Robin's the father of Inigo, Owain & Severa and those 3 are from 3 alternate realities but think they each think that they are from the same reality similar to how the Heirs of Fates DLC and Owain, Inigo & Severa just don't know it. Hey, it's possible with the introduction of alternate realms... XD
My personal headcanon is that Robin and Lucina come from the true Fire Emblem Timeline. Meanwhile Owain, Inigo, and Severa come from an alternate one where Robin must be extremely different from this Robin.
ugh, i like the amiibo idea alot, and i have one that works, i just hate how they are apparently clones, i can imagine ike and marth as clones given how long ago their journey was, but in awakening, lucina's canon or default ending states that she leaves the past world and went elsewhere, she could of easily stumbled into the world of fates by chance, and so could robin, so i feel the robin and lucina in fates should of been the real deal.
I always found Selena pretty decent in each of my playthroughs. Not fantastic by any means, but far better than a joke unit. Odin and Laslow never really got used much, though. Even on my Normal Conquest playthrough.

Severa or Inigo can still be Robin's canon child, as some convos with the kid's fathers (Gerome an Yarne especially) point out that the children never thought as their parents as their actually parents, but rather as partners, as their true parents died by Grima. Also, if you were an orphan out of three, met a man whom the other orphans called a friend except you, should we deduce this man is your father?

I've never played Awakening and I don't think I'll get to it, so I don't care about spoilers, but can someone explain to me the whole situation around Odin Selena and Laslow?
Owain, Severa and Inigo were 3 of the children from the dark future where the fell dragon Grima began to destroy the world, kill people and shit like that. These 3 went to the past along with Lucina and a bunch of other kids to try and prevent their bad future from happening. Depending on who marries who in Awakening, Robin can be the father of either of these 3 children which explains why the conversations in this battle are so vague. At the end of Awakening when Grima is killed/put to sleep (depending on whether you want to sacrifice Robin or not) these 3 stayed in the present day with their families. In the DLC Hidden Truths, Anankos (the good one) enlists the help of these 3. He changes their hair, names and appearances and puts them in Fates' world to hopefully find Corrin and make him/her kill the evil Anankos.

Thoron doesn't look the same...Might be cause of Siegfried's projectile being a recolor of Thoron's projectile from Awakening. Same case for the Wind Tome's projectile being identical to Ragnell's projectile. Though they had no problem imitating the Levin Sword's projectile for the Raijinto. Anyone else notice that?
I don't like Smash Bros Robin. He's so cold and distant. I want Awakening Robin like they gave us Awakening Lucina. At least she is emotional and loves her previous teammates. I don't care if Robin lost his memory, at least show something, even if it's a little.

I kind of find it funny how Inigo, Severa and Owain can't seem to recognize Robin since he's fundamentally the Avatar. As a result, the three know a similar character who plays the exact same role in their world, except he or she has a completely different name and physical appearance. The three Awakening characters make it obvious by mentioning how similar Robin was to the tactician of their world, especially since you can't alternate their name thus they refrain from referencing this character.
Possibly. Really, I think it's more that they recognize him because he looks exactly like the avatar from their world, but likely believe it impossible for him to come to the Fates universe. I'm left wondering if these reactions are based on something that happened after Awakening. Perhaps Robin was never found after sacrificing himself?
Maybe the next games will shed some light on it.

It's also funny because Odin is one of the best characters to reclass into Grandmaster for in Fates so he gets Robin's outfit.
Since Odin's secondary class is Samurai in Fates, I always tend to just shove him into the grandmaster class so it utilizes both weapons he can harbor in. I will on occasion also make Laslow a Dread Fighter, because he has Ninja as his sub-class, and again, weapon utilization. Severa I just shove into Bow Knight.
@@JR384 Odin is good at Grandmaster or DreadFighter. He is a best at hybrid. Some person likes it, some people doesn't. But I definitely love the skills when he have aggressor.

So I get this is the 'Past" Robin before he meets the children but now I'm officially confused as to which 'world' Owain, Severa, and Inigo belong to. Are they the children from the future past where the adults come to save them or are they the same children that came to Robin's past that we mainly play? Ugh. Why Nintendo? So confusing. I'm guessing these are the children who came to Robin's past with Lucina otherwise they would've recognized him as Grima Robin and not called him 'old friend.' ugh, i like the amiibo idea alot, and i have one that works, i just hate how they are apparently clones, i can imagine ike and marth as clones given how long ago their journey was, but in awakening, lucina's canon or default ending states that she leaves the past world and went elsewhere, she could of easily stumbled into the world of fates by chance, and so could robin, so i feel the robin and lucina in fates should of been the real deal.
All three of them are joke units. Selena has joke growths, Odin has joke bases, and Laslow is a balanced joke.
I always found Selena pretty decent in each of my playthroughs. Not fantastic by any means, but far better than a joke unit. Odin and Laslow never really got used much, though. Even on my Normal Conquest playthrough.

+JohnnyAppleweed I can see why but Xander is a much better candidate for Lodestar as he benefits from the speed boosting skills it gives as his speed will come up short a few times. He can then be reclassed back into Paladin for the extra movement. Obviously I know you're talking about from a story perspective but I'd just thought I'd put it out there.

I've never played Awakening and I don't think I'll get to it, so I don't care about spoilers, but can someone explain to me the whole situation around Odin Selena and Laslow?
Owain, Severa and Inigo were 3 of the children from the dark future where the fell dragon Grima began to destroy the world, kill people and shit like that. These 3 went to the past along with Lucina and a bunch of other kids to try and prevent their bad future from happening. Depending on who marries who in Awakening, Robin can be the father of either of these 3 children which explains why the conversations in this battle are so vague.
At the end of Awakening when Grima is killed/put to sleep (depending on whether you want to sacrifice Robin or not) these 3 stayed in the present day with their families.
In the DLC Hidden Truths, Anankos (the good one) enlists the help of these 3. He changes their hair, names and appearances and puts them in Fates' world to hopefully find Corrin and make him/her kill the evil Anankos.
