Aww, thanks! We're so excited for this series to come out both on our channel and on theirs! Ours will obviously be a little more rough around the edges 😅
I Loved that part of Germany and Italy! I was there in 2008 with my husband and we had a Wonderful time! The freakiest part of our entire trip, for me were the tunnels! Some of them were miles and miles in length!
This is so cool! Rooting for the “relaxed eco adventure.” I’m so happy for you guys that you’re able to travel right now. Have the best time! Please enjoy a good German beer for us! And then a good Austrian beer. And then a boatload of gelato.
Great vlog, my wife and I definitely want to go to that mountain! Side note: I really like how your music has evolved in the vids over the years. Really enjoyed the soundtrack of this, very fitting for each scene. Awaiting the next episode! Stay safe out there.
Well...you wouldn’t have caught me up there...not even on the cable car, the view was amazing, thank you that’s the only way I would have seen it. Happy relaxing journey
8:34, "I hope you didn't eat anything spicy, 'cause this could not handle that!" I love this. .... Wow, that campground and mountain and the entire area are just gorgeous.
Combining driving on foreign roads with a type of vehicle you've never driven before. I get the feeling nothing much stresses you out! When you guys do it, it actually does look like a fun adventure.
Definitely vehicles that are that quiet throw you off if it's even on to begin with LOL I was waiting for Allison to say we got a new car again lol stay safe & always enjoyable videos
DW eh? You guys have hit the big time. They're one of the largest media companies in Europe and well respected. So lucky to be where you are, what a neat experience.
So happy you’re back this side of the Atlantic and travelling in such a beautiful area. Europe always brings out the ‘super charmings’ in Eric - yey you’re back!
I tell you that DW is a fantastic company. I have watched their channel for almost 20 years. They always have great content. Enjoy our beautiful country. It is so beautiful down there.
Good job guys. I lived in Germany for 10 years. Skied on the Zugspitze many times. Garmisch is a great town. The tirol region of Austria, the back side of the Zugspitze is also very pretty. Gute Reise und viel Spaß!!
So fun to see two Americans trying out an electric car/van. Here in Norway this is the new normal, and charging stations are just as common as gas stations, at least in the souther part of our country.
I am a child of the tropics, the cold would end me but that view looks so worth it. And that camper van, when you opened up the cabinets, it was like watching a magic show where someone pulls out ribbons or handkerchiefs out of a hat that looks endless 😀😂❤
Brings back memories. I lived in Germany for 3 years and we use to go to Garmish all the time. Amazing place you will have to spend time at. Also fun fact, Garmish once hosted the Winter Olympics.
Loved it guys! We were already itching to get back to Germany (and Europe in general), but now we’re REALLY missing it! Great video! Looking forward to the next one!😊
Eric and Alison, it is important to outline the prices for the things you do, like the fees for the cable car to Zugspitze, the hotel in Italy, the meals, the van rental. It would be more interesting, too, if your focus was more on the places, sites, and activities rather than on yourselves. This is meant to be constructive criticism.
Wow that hotel is soooo nice looking! So glad y'all are enjoying yourselves! You two truly deserve a break from all that's been going on during the pandemic! Thank you both so very much for keeping us entertained & feeling like we were part of the process with the RV renovation, it was an Epic Adventure! Now onto the next...!!!🥰
this is so cool! As a wee person I lived in Germany and travelled Europe with my parents, camping from northern Germany to Rome. But that was 60 years ago. I was hoping I'd see something that was familiar to me, even after all these years. And what do I see like first... Garmisch-Partenkirchen!! I have vivid memories of 6 year old me traipsing around there! I wonder if there will be more!!
Yes guys, so excited to have you back in Europe and follow along on this road trip through Europe! We have been driving our van through Europe for the last couple of months but it is this huge, heavy Ford Transit and it looks like your electric camper van will be much more compact and easier to drive on the steep inclines 😅 can't wait for the next installment!
Hey guys, my wife and I are going to Italy October 16th. I think we know all we need to go, but I would love to hear from you what we all need. Thanks for all the video. Love that you are back in Germany.
The Germans have great ideas and really good workmanship. Never got to go to Germany so I love seeing it on your Chanel. Glad you are able to travel.🇨🇦
You both look so happy to be back in Europe!! So fun to watch this and looking forward to the rest of the adventure! Also, congrats on working with DW. They’re travel series is great!
Love the views. Oh to be young and agile! Climbing the side of the mountain really is exciting. Going from Germany to Italy shows how easy it is to travel from country to country. Look forward to the next Video.
I would strongly recommend taking as much time as you can to see as many places as you can and really take it all in. Being an Army brat and having served myself, we spent about 10 years in various places in Germany and then I did another couple of years myself, during that time visiting many places in central and southern Germany (Bavaria), which you've just passed through if you mentioned Garmish. I would also recommend Obersdorf which if memory is correct has the Nebel horn and the Rubi horn mountains, the Nebel horn is great for skiing. Additionally the Germans are really known for their 'Spa' towns, resort locations, completely non touristy, but full of history and tradition. I could wax lyrical about many other places and countries, like Salzburg or Vienna (Austria), Zurich and Geneva (Switzerland), Venice (Italy). A place i researched but never got the chance to go, in Italy along the Amalfi coast is Positano. It is completely unique, just look it up and you will see why it is an iconic destination. Good to see you enjoying travelling once more. Safe travels and thanks for the escapism living vicariously through your videos.
That looks like so much fun! We're excited to follow you all along on this trip and now absolutely want to recreate it ourselves. That mountain town is *magical.* Have a fantastic time, you two! Can't wait for the next vid!
This video made me dig out my photos of my trip there! I was solo that weekend of my college quarter in Germany. I don't remember that last part climbing but I have pics standing under the cross! Wasn't there the option of a cheaper cog wheel train? I remember being in that with a bunch of grandparents and grandkids. :) I also remember drinking a beer at the top of Germany.
Garmisch-Partenkichen, the Eibsee, and the Zugspitze! We long had a yearly tradition of hitting up the Christmas markets in that area the week before Christmas while staying in Oberammergau! One of my favorite areas in the world, so great to see you guys there!
@KaylaMoore Me too. When I got back to the States I got my DNA results and found out I'm 18% German. (It must be my stomach the way I ate when I was there. 🤣)
I'd be really hungry too after surviving that climb! I didn't want you to climb but happy you had challenging fun! We're thrilled to see you traveling again!!!
That electric camper looks pretty cool but the view or top of the mountain was ridiculous wow even with all the clouds rolling through the valleys. Maybe I should have did more research when I went to Germany twice
I just bought a Prius and I did exactly what you were afraid of....I forgot to turn the power off the car!! Funny story as to how I figured it out. Around 3 am I woke to a strange sound. I kept hearing it about every 10 minutes. I got up wandering around the house trying to find the sound. Literally went back to bed but kept hearing it. I got up, stuck my head out the front door and in the darkness I could hear this spaceship sound. It came to me that maybe its my new car!! Got the keys, ran out in the night to see my dashboard all lite up in the "ready" mode, I couldn't believe it! 😖 I quickly turned it off and felt foolish for the day. 🤪 To think that someone could have easily got in the car and drove away since you don't need a key! 🤔 Lesson learned.
Wouldn't use the van for any serious long term road trip camping because it's kind of cramped with no raised roof, and you have to go outside to use anything which also lets out all the heat while the doors are open, but it's cool and functional, not bad for a short term travel, and the "pop up" table is a nice space saver that makes a good sized usable table.
I can't tell you how happy I am that you guys are back in Europe! After what we have all, collectively, gone through, I wasn't sure we'd ever see this day again!! Travel safe and HAVE FUN!!
Oooh! Zugspitze!! And Bavaria! We used to holiday there back in the 70s when my Dad was stationed in Germany - Fabulous place - SO beautiful
I like how the dumplings magically jumped from Eric's plate onto Allison's 😆🤭🤫
I lived in Garmisch for over a year!. It’s an amazing little German town. ❤️❤️ Thank you for bringing back so many memories!
I have been a LONG TIME watcher of the deutsche welle documentaries. Amazing that you got connected with them. Have fun!
You both have amazing chemistry together!
Willkommen zurück in den Alpen. Grüße aus Österreich.
WOW it's great that you're collaborating with DW! they make some quality content, which is obvious from the fact that they chose you 👍💯👏👏
Aww, thanks!
Yikes!😬
You two gift me with joy every single time I watch. Bless you!
We agree!
This is so cool! Rooting for the “relaxed eco adventure.” I’m so happy for you guys that you’re able to travel right now. Have the best time! Please enjoy a good German beer for us! And then a good Austrian beer. And then a boatload of gelato.
We're so excited to be back out there and sharing crazy travels again! And don't worry, we'll drink and eat all the things for you guys 🤣🍻
We like the way you think!
Just sat on toilet having a poo
I'm so jealous of you two! The scenery looks beautiful! And that hotel room...
Wow I'm impressed with those charging stations. I would love for my next car to be full electric.
Great vlog, my wife and I definitely want to go to that mountain! Side note: I really like how your music has evolved in the vids over the years. Really enjoyed the soundtrack of this, very fitting for each scene. Awaiting the next episode! Stay safe out there.
Thanks so much, Jonathan! Eric's actually been saving up fun songs specifically for this trip. Super happy how it all came together 🎶
YAY! Back to international travelling! Love your videos!
Well...you wouldn’t have caught me up there...not even on the cable car, the view was amazing, thank you that’s the only way I would have seen it.
Happy relaxing journey
😬🤣 Me too!
8:34, "I hope you didn't eat anything spicy, 'cause this could not handle that!" I love this. .... Wow, that campground and mountain and the entire area are just gorgeous.
It is so good seeing you back in Europe! Hope it's as great as you remembered
Combining driving on foreign roads with a type of vehicle you've never driven before. I get the feeling nothing much stresses you out! When you guys do it, it actually does look like a fun adventure.
I shall enjoy coming along with you on
this trip. I love your enthusiasm and excitement.
Can't wait to get back to Europe! The camper van is such a great idea too!!
Agreed, the camper van looks fun.
LOVE to see you guys back on road ABROAD...and nothing is more beautiful than start the EU trip with Germany!
OK, I really enjoyed the Motorhome build. But these views are epic. Thank you!
Adored that view from the top looking down at all the clouds. Awesome 👌
Gorgeous! We want to visit Germany so bad, we're both German! Loved all of the electric charging stations! Safe travels! -Ben and Ang
What a wonderful trip to Germany and Italy. Stay safe in your travels in the electric van. Walk in Peace.
Definitely vehicles that are that quiet throw you off if it's even on to begin with LOL I was waiting for Allison to say we got a new car again lol stay safe & always enjoyable videos
Lol Allison sounding like the Swedish chef pronouncing the town they are in
I can't believe I missed that joke either!! 🤦♀️
@@Theendlessadventure maybe next time
Great start to your European adventure! You guys are two of my favorite vloggers! Always upbeat and entertaining!
Thanks so much, Kenneth! 🥰
DW eh? You guys have hit the big time. They're one of the largest media companies in Europe and well respected. So lucky to be where you are, what a neat experience.

Aaawww that's so sweet!🥰
I tell you that DW is a fantastic company. I have watched their channel for almost 20 years. They always have great content. Enjoy our beautiful country. It is so beautiful down there.
You 2 climbing to the top, gave me sweaty palms 🙈. Stunning views though. Hope you guys are coming to the UK 🇬🇧
Good job guys. I lived in Germany for 10 years. Skied on the Zugspitze many times. Garmisch is a great town. The tirol region of Austria, the back side of the Zugspitze is also very pretty. Gute Reise und viel Spaß!!

I love Garmisch and the Zugspitze but I struggle to avoid laughing at the name of the mountain next to Parten-Kirchen.
Beautiful scenery! Really enjoyed the video! I miss travelling. You should try coming to Portugal. I'd love to see one of your videos about Portugal.
Wow, thanks for reaching out to the top of the mountain and shared the view with us! :)
I am a child of the tropics, the cold would end me but that view looks so worth it. And that camper van, when you opened up the cabinets, it was like watching a magic show where someone pulls out ribbons or handkerchiefs out of a hat that looks endless 😀😂❤
Really happy to see you traveling internationally again!
Amazing video, so excited for this journey of yours. Germany was beautiful.
Wow , what a great video, been to Europe myself , it’s such a clean and beautiful country, thanks for sharing all the memories, 🤗
Brings back memories. I lived in Germany for 3 years and we use to go to Garmish all the time. Amazing place you will have to spend time at. Also fun fact, Garmish once hosted the Winter Olympics.
I remember that.
Loved it guys! We were already itching to get back to Germany (and Europe in general), but now we’re REALLY missing it! Great video! Looking forward to the next one!😊
Great video! The views-AMAZING! I’m amazed by that van! Put an awning on it + a solar shower of some kind = perfect for weekend adventures!
The only thing I would change about the van is having an extended roof so you can stand up inside. Glad you are getting to travel to Europe again.
Makes my heart happy to see you traveling in Europe again!!
Amazingly compact! ….and that view at the highest point in Germany. I’ll live vicariously through you two!
Alli looks so pretty, as usual, and Germany is the best, even better with YOU GUYS there.
Those views above the clouds! 😍 Worth the scary climb up 😁
So happy to be traveling with y’all once again! Yay! That mountain top was UH-Mazing! 👍🏼
Wow that hotel is soooo nice looking! So glad y'all are enjoying yourselves! You two truly deserve a break from all that's been going on during the pandemic! Those mountain views are amazing. Reminds me of Haleakala, but more extreme.
You both look so happy to be back in Europe!! So fun to watch this and looking forward to the rest of the adventure! Also, congrats on working with DW. They’re travel series is great!
stayed in Garmisch many times as a youngster when my Dad was stationed in Verona Italy. Have many fond memories of these times.
Oh Man you guys are pretty brave to venture to the top of Germany. You would never catch me up there . Nice to have you do it for us.
It was fun to go with you up on the Zugspitze. I was so surprised that there wasn't any snow as I use to go skiing there during the late 60's.
I'm so glad to see you back in business! 😊🥰 Love you both!
That little van is the most compact incredible vehicle I have seen !!! Love it , Safe Travels 🥰
Love the views. Oh to be young and agile! Climbing the side of the mountain really is exciting. Going from Germany to Italy shows how easy it is to travel from country to country. Look forward to the next Video.

Garmisch is an awesome little town … was there in 2008. From what I can see in video still looks the same.
So exciting!! That camper van seems to be surprisingly convenient! 😄
What a fun trip, you guys deserve this adventure. Thanks!
When you popped up over the clouds 🤯😲🥰
This video made me dig out my photos of my trip there! I was solo that weekend of my college quarter in Germany. I don't remember that last part climbing but I have pics standing under the cross! Yay!!! That’s the trip we wanted to take as a family before Covid!! Love you guys!
I've been wondering about these! You guys are so fancy. Hooray for traveling! ❤️❤️

Loved it!! Thank you for sharing your adventures! Can't wait to see more!
Awesome! We vacationed at the same spot, only different times. I used the town of Lutago as my home base. It is an amazingly beautiful location.

You: Climbing to the absolute rocky summit of Zugspitze
Me: Ohmygod,ohmygod,ohmygod,ohmygod,ohmygod!
You were much braver than me at the summit of Zugspitze. My husband went to the top but I watched from the side it was just too much for me.
Good to see you guys back travelling! Welcome back to europe. 😊
I can't tell you how happy I am that you guys are back in Europe! After what we have all, collectively, gone through, I wasn't sure we'd ever see this day again!! Travel safe and HAVE FUN!!
Honestly, until we got on the plane we didn't think it was real. It's definitely crazy and amazing to be international again 🙌
My all time favorite video of yours is still the Symphony of the Seas cruise. But all your videos are just the best! You two Rock! :-)
You got a new car lol 😂 you didn’t say it haha. Happy and safe travels 🥰
Germany is my favorite country to go on holiday, especially the region of Bavaria. Greetings from Belgium
Glad to see you guys traveling again. Love from the island of Guam 🌴💖🌴
God, I forgot how much I enjoy your travel adventures!
Same! 😅
Welcome from Wildemann, Germany in the Upper Harz!
Super cool electric van, but someone is always paying for it! Great vid guys, as usual!
