Since you're using the do it all handle, there's 3.5mm jack on it. You can just straightly connect your wireless receiver to it using the 3.5mm cable you got. So you don't need the creator combo mic with this way of connection.
Yes this is possible. For my use case however, I have my Pocket 2’s on some custom made carbon fiber booms to elevate them above my target. During use, it is not possible for me to get above them once we are shooting.
👍👍👍👍Can comfirm that using the DJI Mic with the Osmo Pocket 2 via the 3.5mm from the receiver to the Do-It-All Handle works perfectly. It will run both mics from the receiver, It will disable the interal mic's and the standard mic that comes with the pocket 2. You can still hear your feed via the headphone output on the RX. I bought the Mics because I wanted the backup recording that they offer because I wont get a second chance for a do-over. Using Adobe Premier Pro I can easily sync the tracks in seconds. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I did not buy the Creator Combo of the DJI Pocket 2. I didn't get any mic included. Can I simply buy this Mic? Or is there something extra I need for the Mic to work on my camera? What I mean more specifically, Do you need some kind of Wireless Reciever that you attach underneath the DJI Camera, the same place where you for instance attach the tripod mount. Or is this wireless receiver already embedded into the DJI camera?
you can. it depends if you have the "Do it all Handle" or not. if not, you will need to get a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adaptor. if you have the handle, you can just connect the DJI mic transceiver to the Pocket 2 via 3.5mm cable.
How about just recording to the DJI mics without the receiver and just sync in post? Obviously not as cool as if it worked with receiver but at least this would remove the receiver dongle setup. Nice video man!
I have done this and it works fine. However, it can be difficult to sync up audio that does not contain any video marker or reference to match them up. Just more of a pain in the editing process.
@@natetran Agree. I must say I am glad to see someone creating content about this. As someone who uses both products, I have been searching for this content for a few months. Nice Job! Also I really enjoyed your video from crater of diamonds. Very well done!
Can t you just connect the dji wirless system to the pocket 2 directly through audio adaptor ? Am asking cause i have the osmo pocket one and want to attach it to the dji wirless system ..
I have the DJI Mini Pro 3 and it will flip the sensor in vertical recording mode. I suspect the DJI Pocket 3 will have the same gimbal (since the Pocket 2 and the mini 2 have the same gimbal)….and it would be a perfect time to integrate the DJI mic hardware. I would seriously think Bout getting both.
@@Yaseen_KhaliqI’m biased towards the DJI ecosystem, but I have used the DJI Action 3 at my work and it’s quite good. Rumors right now are that DJI will unveil the Action 4 by the end of July….if it were me, I would either wait for the DJI Action 4, or buy the Action 3 when they reduce the price.
Thanks for the video. I do walking tour videos in cities, where I narrate the whole time using the DJI Pocket 2. Every year, I try to add a new piece of equipment to my arsenal for the holiday season. I have been intrigued about having a "guest" join me on some walking tours, but have not done so yet because the DJI Pocket 2 only picks up my voice clearly unless they are literally walking right on my hip. Therefore, I'm interested in the DJI Mic, to record both of us (either on walks, or on bike rides where we're in very close proximity). I don't need audio to be anything super special; just that they can hear both of us. Do you think the DJI Mic would be a good enough fit for my purposes?
I think your use case would be in the scope of what the DJI Mic does well...but only if you don't care about giving up the ambient sounds that would be picked up by the DJI Pocket 2's onboard mic array. The DJI Mics will pickup your speech very well, as long as the mics are appropriately positioned on your subjects, but they won't pick up the ambient sound well. For me, this is somewhat of a deal breaker. I want the ability to record both DJI Mics AND the Pocket 2's onboard mic array at the same time. Hope this helps.
I have not attempted to do this…I would assume with the DJI mic, and the wireless mic that comes with the creator pack, that this is not possible…perhaps someone can correct me.
is it somehow possible to connect the Pocket 2 Mic to the receiver? I'm asking because you can buy the Mic-System with only one transmitter and I would want to use the Pocket 2 Mic as my second one. Thanks!
You can use the DJI Mics with the Pocket 2 through the use of a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adaptor, or, you can connect the wireless mic from the Pocket 2 Creator Combo pack to the transceiver base station of the DJI Mic to get it to work that way. If you need two wireless microphones, I wouldn't mix a single DJI Mic with the wireless mic from the Pocket 2's Creator Combo...I would just use (2) DJI Mics. This is probably very confusing....I might make a video to illustrate this further. thanks.

Yeah, nate could you confirm if this is possible because I'm in the same exact situation.

Filmic pro 60 fps on Samsung
Thanks for the video man, that helped a lot, i have a pocket 2 the creator combo, but I've been doing a lot of interviews lately wanted two mics
And nice review man thats the only video i found on this matter

Can't you plug it straight into the mic input on the side?
I have a DJİ Mic but Lightning adopter is broken and I cannot found new one.

When osmo pocket 3 will release?
I hope you have an answer 😊
I have not seen any credible reports regarding the release of the Pocket 3. :(

Perfect colour
Perfect quality
No heat
Perfect mic

Is there a update on the pocket 3
From the rumors I’ve seen, looks like DJI will release a new action cam before a Pocket update…
