Scott Bonnar - Model 45 - How To Prepare For Paint

In this video I explain how I go about preparing my mower for Paint. I like to use a wire wheel to clean and strip the old paint and dirt from all the parts and once completed I apply a coating of Etch Primer

Great Video Jordan! Very much enjoy the content. quick question for you mate. What parts do you prepare yourself vs sending off to the sandblaster? I noticed that you have a small blasting unit in the garage. Do you use it for your builds at all? Pros vs cons if you do? Happy Easter to you and the family!

Hey mate… I send all the big items off to get professionally sand blasted and I keep all the small items and do them myself..
It doesn’t really save time but it does save money.. if I have a spare hour or so I can pop out to my shed, blast and prep a item.. I enjoy the process and gratification of restoring things myself..
