If they were looking for an atmosphere similar to Earth’s to support human and animal life, the birds chirping through the entire scene should have been their first clue.
The tall grass and trees surrounding them should of been as well considering plants are the reason Earth has an atmosphere. Also you'd think finding plants and animals that are identical to those on Earth would clue them in that they never actually left Earth. These aren't the most intelligent astronauts. Maybe the goal wasn't to colonize another planet but just to get rid of the dumbest people on Earth.
The bacteria survey alone should have precluded their taking off their suits. "Yeah, over one-third of these germs are something we know *_nothing_* about, but we should be fine."
I thought I was the only one who recognized them! Also the test of time was only 2 years. "Abbott and Costello go to Mars" was released in 1953. "King Dinosaur" was 1955.
I know MST3K has undergone a lot of changes over the decades and stopped and resumed production several times. But I swear, I will lose my shit, if or when they permanently retire the show. Every episode is f'ing hilarious.
more geological activity can be used to judge the age of a planet. Being in a B movie means if you see one active volcano you have seen all volcanos on the planet
Where are the MST3K.movies hiding? What pops up in my subs is snippets, outtakes, 12-hour talky marathons & 'Mole People', which I will not watch.🤯 *Help?* Tks!
"That's one small step for man. One giant leap into a cowpie."

"Why is he blow drying the grass?"

Maybe those were alien bird breathing alien gasses
"I believe that by the end of this decade, we will land a piece of stock footage on another planet! Ask not what a process shot can do for you!
Reversed stock footage too. That's a V-2!
“Joel. I’m tripping.” That was the best way in which Trace could’ve delivered that line.
I landed in Wisconsin in July of 1959! :D
Someone had to do it!
Step in anything ? 🐄💩
March 77 here
April of the big Y2K, keep that midwest love👍

"Uh, why is he blow-drying the grass, Guys?" (Or corn.)
Is Corn Grass?
Or is grass corn? 🤔
In which a cheesy sci fi movie from 1955 has astronauts acting with more sense than the crew in Alien: Covenant
"Houston. We just discovered a Starbucks. You want anything?"
Those suits from Abbott & Costello On Mars sure stood the test of time.
LOL!!
I thought I was the only one who recognized them! Also the test of time was only 2 years. "Abbott and Costello go to Mars" was released in 1953. "King Dinosaur" was 1955.
Those slip-on gloves kind of give away the whole "sealed spacesuit" thing.
If we can forgive 2001, we can forgive this... Watch Bowman climb the ladder to HAL!
@@Pygar2 Hold on here....... You're comparing King Dinosaur to 2001? I have to give it to you, your weed is better than mine.
@@ClayLoomis1958 Hey, I'm in Kentucky! That stuff's for selling, not using! Or so I hear...
@@Pygar2 So, tobacco, which kills an estimated half a million a year in the US alone, is better than marijuana, which has killed no one? OK then.
@@ClayLoomis1958 You want to back up and read my wry comment again?
I love this show. The END
This is better than Coney Island!

Howmany movies reused those cheesy spacesuit outfits?
The Star Trek Series for one.
@@glassontherocks Do you happen to know the episode offhand? I gotta go back and watch it now. 🙂
They were in the 1953 movie "Abbott and Costello go to Mars". I don't remember seeing them anywhere else.
So in the future the signal for a breathable atmosphere checking out is an air high five. 🙄😆
im glad their ship was powerful enough to haul that 40lb reel to reel tape recorder through space..
just so she didnt need to use a pencil and paper..
Yeah we want to frolic in the raw too! 🤣
That movie IS a cow pie, without the Joel & Bots' observations. Ever seen it raw? Ouch!
Unadorned by the MST3K team, I think the toughest watch was Monster A-Go-Go, or Hamlet. Even California's best weed can't make those tolerable.
The worst is unfiltered "Manos." It's like hanging out in the sewerage plant without a respirator. AND painful.
I think the list of those bearable without the riffs would take less time to reel off.
Ha Ha, One giant step into a cow pie!
Why is an active volcano evidence of a planet's age? The Earth has active volcanoes- is it considered young, old or middle aged?
more geological activity can be used to judge the age of a planet. Being in a B movie means if you see one active volcano you have seen all volcanos on the planet
K Collier-Earth: Who's asking?
"Is it as lovely as it seems?" It's redundant. One of the dumbest lines of dialogue I've ever heard.
This movie had a total of four actors in it I believe. Unbelievably cheap.
Nice Nazi V1
That's actually a V-2. I think those stock V2 shots must have been used in half of the Scifi movies from the 1950's.
Ment to type in V2
D.V. …………...it is a Tesla , reuseable V 2, Elons dad helped Von Braun , back in the day !!!!!
