Heller is/was a visionary who had his image tarnished by slander. The reality is, there is no NWA, Cube, DOC, Eazy-E, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Dogg Pound, Michelle, Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage and countless others if this man doesn't give Eazy an opportunity. I have nothing but respect for Heller as a person and a business man.

I think screwed is one thing and steal is another. I'm sure people can still be stolen from in the record industry, but there are so many rules and regulations companies have to follow now and subjected to so many audits that it would make it very difficult. Now there are def some shaddy ass people in the business that are looking to make money off the artists and they'll be looking to screw them over for sure.

allthewine I don't think Jerry Heller stole. He made a huge percentage. Eazy made a huge percentage. The group members didn't get any equity meaning zero percentage. Bottom line is the group members including eazy were young in the business and they couldn't tell a good deal from a crappy deal. And for everybody to make two gold and platinum and without any signed contracts proves their immaturity. If Dre didn't get the points he deserved it's dre's fault because he didn't know what he was supposed to get. Jerry is not going to volunteer more percentage to any of them because they were friends. Jerry looked out for himself.

ever since the movie, everyone is acting like they know what happened because the hollywood movie must be true. I'd bet 85% of the movie is either exagerated or watered down. just because they watched the movie and saw this guy screwed over cube and dre, everyone wants to say he killed easy e. if anyone killed easy e, I'd say it was Suge. I think that dre made some secret deal with him to let him leave death row, but I think with all the trash easy e was saying about suge at the time (which they left out of the movie) and since suge is 100% insecure and jealous of anyone with more success than him, I think suge decided it would be in his best interest to get rid of easy e. If you remember, easy e was bringing more young, talented rappers on the scene. easy e introduced Bone Thugs and many others to us. Just like Suge couldn't handle puffy bringing new talent in, he couldn't handle easy e possibly still holding the hottest rappers. I think bone thugs would have been much bigger than they were if easy would have lived to really put them out. everyone knows the members of bth don't like members of death row, so suge probably could't buy them the way he was able to brain wash and buy dre. I think one of these days we are going to learn that Suge had a big part in every talented rapper getting taken out between 1988-1998. whether he kills them or puts pressure on the record labels to not promote, he had his hand in the pot across the board. I think him sitting in jail now is his karma coming back to bite him in the ass. Him killing that guy on the set of the movie and finally being arrested and locked up is his karma. it all went full circle for him. he went back to where his evil started and it bit him in the ass. I don't think this old jew guy killed anyone. He could have just found another artist to mooch off and be fine. No need to kill anyone. Suge is the only person involved with all these people who enjoys killing people.

This is a really good Interview with Jerry Heller. As a madd NWA fan actually growing up thru this period of the group, he seems to get it all right or correct from what I can recall. Timeline etc is right too & all falls into place.

I'm going to say Cube is a legend and a poet. Eazy had that charisma. Boyz in the hood was written by ice cube. Eazy duz it. Most of the songs are written by Ice cube. Straight outta compton. Same thing. The music Dr dre came up with Changed Everything after he left the group. G funk era rap. Snoop Dogg. It brought everything to a whole nuther level. Now look where they are now. But Ice Cube was the hardest rhymer in N.W.A. Everybody knows the first verse to Straight outta Compton. Everybody knows boyz in the hood. When he left, Ice cube didn't even have a radio single and was still selling millions. Efil4zaggin came out and sold well. But Ice cube was killing them. Still. Ice cube wasn't getting his money at first. Now imagine Straight outta Compton comes out. Everybody knows the word and message of your songs that you wrote. But you aint getting credit for it. Just show money. In the end, Jerry is right. Business is business. A contract is a contract. They are meant to be looked over. You have to read it. You have to understand it. Its funny how all the peices come together and their legacy will live on forever though even with the bullshit in the mix. Real proud of N.W.A

Jerry made that deal with Interscope because Eazy was about to put a hit on Suge Knight in retaliation for that set up at the studio that got Eazy stomped. Jerry did not have any leverage. Jewish Defamation league involved it was messy and dangerous we were about to have a hip-hop murder. Jerry saved somebody(s) life though by getting eazy to agree to that interscope deal. "Dre day only meant Eazy's pay day!!"
