darcanjel7 Im glad i didnt saw the movie, .... yet,....i will eventualy, but i knew it was 50% bullshit from the start. From what i know Sug beat the shit outta Eazy in order to let Dre go from Ruthless, thats why Eazy wanted to kill Knight; there was no tough Dre either, i remember people telling stories of him crying to Sug just to let him go from Death Row. Dre beat a lot of bitches(mostly female lmao) but he lived a nightmare at DeathRow.
+TheKillahAkASuperP No Biopic can be 100% accurate. If only because you have to condense many, many years into just a few hours. Also, the movie has to be entertaining and narratively sound. So I don't think anyone set out to bullshit the audience. But they probably did have to condense a few things and make certain characters a "composite" of general attitudes and stuff. Plus its not like these guys have been keeping silent. By the sounds of it, everybody has released a book and cashed in on N.W.A's fame/infamy long before the movie came out. The movie will serve as a good gateway for those truly interested to discover all these books, interviews, documentaries and get a fuller story, from multiple perspectives.
If you listen to the N.W.A and the Posse version of Boys In The Hood you can actually hear most of the spots where Eazy's vocals are "punched in." Most rappers can do an entire verse in one take. I can't imagine how laborious it had to be to record the song one bar at a time. But hey, Eazy had a very distinct voice and as history has shown, they made the right choice.
I disagree, easy e had one hit song.I believe if it was not for that,he would still be a drug dealer, because easy was not going to persue an education,so his frontier was music.
For me as a Eazy-E and N.W.A. big fan who was introduced to rap by those guys in the 6th grade, these Lonzo interviews are the best thing Vlad has ever done.
No shit. The movie was seriously Dr. Dre's fantasy of how shit went down. I remember the first time I saw "Straight Outta Compton," I immediately started to think/feel like the movie was basically "the history of NWA/Death Row/West Coast Gangsta Rap" according to Dr. Dre. Or, at least, the way Dre wished/wanted "The History" to look like. Then after listening to all these DJ Vlad interviews, it became pretty clear that my intuition was right.
+Jewel Luscious I mean yes it is wrong for a man to put his hands on a woman or for any body to put their hands on any one for good reason, I love michel'le, she is a sweet sister & I am a long time fan of her, but I did laugh when he said that, I never seen any of the beats by Dre lol.
I am working on a documentary about NWA and I have spent hundreds of hours reading, researching, and watching videos about NWA. This video is one of the best ones that I have found so far! Keep up the great work Vlad!
Lenon Honor the reason I ask is because I'm 43 and I believe that a great documentary would have to start with experience and not on research alone. Anyway I would love to see it regardless so if it's done send me a link.
Damn i kinda forgot michel le was singing the hook on before you turn off the lights. When really look at it this dude lonzo is really the one that put everybody on
Actually JJ FAD were the 1st female rap group to be produced by Dre & Arabian Prince on Ruthless. Then Eazy Duz-It & finally NWA Straight Outta Compton.
Hey Lonzo do you remember Stripe MC? He was on the 1st Compton Control Mobb. He past several years ago. He use to talk about you a lot. Much love. We ended up doing an album together before he past. 🐐 🙌
Damn, Vlad doesn't know shit! Dre produced Straight Outta Compton and Eazy-Duz-It relatively at the same time, Straight Outta Compton came out August 9 of '88 then Eazy-Duz-It dropped in September 13 of '88.
I love the Interviewer. He's right on point. Never lets him digress from the facts. Keeps him on track. Fact checking as they go. Good job Mr Interviewer. Who ever you are.
OMG!! When he said, “I’ve never seen Beats by Dre,” in response to Miche’le getting smacked. I could’ve died just by laughing!!! Damn Lonzo, you funny as hell!!!😮😮😮🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol@ Dre was supposed to co-own Ruthless and Death Row and then somehow ended up being under both Eazy and Suges control and needing Jimmy Iovine to get him out
Because Dre was always an artistic type of dude. He wasn't a natural businessman like that. Eazy was always supposed to be money man in NWA and not a rapper initially. But that all changed after Boyz in the Hood.
This story is a complete contradiction to the movie Straight Outta Compton in the movie Jerry met easy at the place where easy was having NWA records pressed Jerry approached them not easy paying somebody almost $1,000 just to meet him but because Hollywood is Hollywood I have to say I tend to believe this gentleman before believing the Hollywood movie
they got him down in the movie. In the movie he was strict but in a comedy way. And when hear him do this interview I feel like its the same guy in the movie
I remember Dre said the exact same thing: he and Eric were suppose to own ruthless together but Jerry got in the way. I forgot what documentary Dre said that on. I think it was either behind the music or on Eazys documentary. I forgot tho but I do remember Dre saying that.
That's such a shame cause Eazy and Dre were entrepreneurs, things could of gone so differently, the beef never would of happened, and the label would still be active today with Dre runnin' it, Heller never should of been in the picture, everybody would be paid the right way and fairly and there would of been no reason to start Death Row and let Suge exploit Dre again just like Heller did.
He didn’t have those skills until he met Jimmy Evine and learned from him. Prior to that, Dre was irresponsible with money, blew it on parties, wasn’t showing up for work on time if at all and according to Alonzo, Dre still owes him money from 30 years ago and borrowed more than what he was supposed to be paid.

Prior to that, Dre was irresponsible with money, blew it on parties, wasn’t showing up for work on time if at all and according to Alonzo, Dre still owes him money from 30 years ago and borrowed more than what he was supposed to be paid.
Hmmm... I just happened to have read this part in Jerry Heller's book Ruthless just last night and Jerry tells the Marconi restaurant story different.. He said he had agreed with Eazy to rep him, and that was gonna be a full time job, so Jerry called all his talent to meet him at Morconi's and once there, he said... I am gonna rep Eazy and NWA, I can still rep you guys, so whoever wants to come with me, you are welcome. Some didn't and some did. Just sayin´ Jerry isn't around to defend himself, but his book is.
I'm confused about Eazy first rap being the Boyz n the Hood song when they had the swapmeat mixtapes and you hear Eazy rapping on a few of those songs. Were those mixtapes after Boyz n the Hood?
According to wiki, Straight Outta Compton was released 8-9-88 and Eazy Duz it was released 9-13-88, so basically 1 month apart but SOC came out first. NWA and the Posse dropped in 87.
According to Wikipedia and Discogs, 'Straight Outta Compton' dropped before 'Eazy-Duz-It': August 9th 1988, follwed by Eazy-Duz-It one month later, on September 13th 1988!
This dude kinda contradicted himself a bit. First he made it seem as if he always knew they had talent to make it and he never dissed the music (like in the movie), then he says that when Eazy gave Jerry the tape he says "I don't know, sounds good but I don't know, they talking some crazy shit". That shit dont sound like he thought they'd make it or that he liked it. It's obvious that this dude wasn't convinced by them.
Alonzo Williams produce a song call dunk the funk for the fila fresh crew, a group which consists of fresk k, dr. Rock, and the d.o.c, at the end of the record they say call dre before monday, dre did not produce the song.

The movie did Lonzo dirty in how they portrayed him… I’m glad Lonzo is telling the real story, with every interview the truth get recorded in the history books.
Damn. This story is nothing like the damn movie.
darcanjel7 fuck the movies, you expect hollywood to give you the 100% real? theyre gonna sparkle it up to make it look nicer than it really was

They altered a lot in the movie. I don't think, well a little bit, Lonzo lying or not.
This cat is very charismatic & his stories are captivating to listen to. He's like a Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson of the Hood. Dope Sh**!!
Lol! Yes he is…
If you listen to the N.W.A and the Posse version of Boys In The Hood you can actually hear most of the spots where Eazy's vocals are "punched in." Most rappers can do an entire verse in one take. I can't imagine how laborious it had to be to record the song one bar at a time. But hey, Eazy had a very distinct voice and as history has shown, they made the right choice.
+Corey Cavalier Ren said that Eazy took so many takes that people would just get up and leave the studio session. lmao
Not trying to knock him, but even as a kid hearing Eazy, I knew he couldn't rap. I guess his voice got him over with some folks.

The movie is based on the image and not reality.
That’s because it’s the real uncut story.
In the Welcome to Deathrow documentary even Suge Knight said Dre and Easy were supposed to partners in owning Ruthless Records.
suge knight is a liar.
These interviews are equal to or even greater than the actual movie. they need to re-do that shit based off these videos.
Best line in a great interview was the last. "no, i didnt see the Beats By Dre™😂😂"
Eazy in his Susuki Samurai
