Valentines Day 2024, my wife is out work in an hour, I just got home from a pre op visit, don't have time to get flowers but bought cards from me and the kids way early (ordered personalized ones). I tried this on some Pansies right now and got them dried out in a couple of minutes and hidden in the cards. Not exactly a bouquet but I know she'll love it. Thanks for the tutorial!!
@OurUpcycledLife she loved it. I told her I dried the flowers from our garden and she gushed 😊 She's still showing it off. I might do this again for her birthday coming up this weekend
@glendaolsen9158 thank you, admittedly I haven't been as romantic as I used to be, life stuff....but I'm getting back to it, and the kids definitely see it. My 6 year old is even trying to woo a girl at school. It's amusing to see him think of her
Oh my goodness! I've been trying to dry flowers for a long time. I feel stupid and wish I'd known this method a long time ago! Again another fantastic diy!
I have been pressing flowers the long way, diy press, for too long! 😮 This s going to be a game changer. I have so many projects planned and I am so very glad this popped up out of nowhere on my watch list. Thank you sooooo soooo much. I will be picking from my garden today and trying this immediately. ❤❤❤
Wow !! They are still in same colours ❤ I was searching for a video which shows easy way to make flowers dry. And I should say this one is the best method👍

Thank you! I'm going to press some plumeria flowers that drop all the time from my neighbor's tree. I want to keep the pretty pink color. When I press them in a closed book, they always turn brown. Thank you!!❤
Hi thanks for the great video. I'd like to know how long these flowers last with their vibrant colors if I'll put them in a frame with glass? Do I need to spray them with a spray net? Hope you'll reply and those who had experience this process. Thank you.

Hi! Can I use newspaper instead of parchment paper?
Yes you probably can but ink might transfer into flowers
❤️
Thanks for watching ❤️
Can you please let me know if i can make them preserved for long time in Shallow box by drying this way? I have bouquet gifted by my husband and want them to be preserved as long as i can.
Yes if dried well it will last
I live in NZ. Any idea what parchment paper would be out of the States?
Parchment paper is used when baking and you can find it at any grocery store

Why is your Brother in law and your husband not allowing you to have flowers or leave the house???
I did this they pressed flat and next few days seemed dry. I put them in tissue paper and filed them in a folder. A few days later they were all moldy and wet. What did I do wrong???
If they went moldy, they weren’t completely dry
Did anyone else hear her say “press down fern-ly” ?
I do not have a iron but I have a a heat press can I use that
Have fun!
Do they actually fully dry? Because if any tad bit of water still left in them it would ruin the glaze
Yes they do dry
Can you do this on flowers with thick stems?
Does not work as well
I see you left the petals on, would you do the same with sunflowers?
Sunflowers may be a bit thick
Oh no!! Any tips? I’m going to try to attempt to do them tonight 🙂
Can you use them to put inside a resin project?
Yes
does these dry out completely to put in resin
Yes they will
Yay 😂❤
I can try, but I don’t know about that. Lol
Lots of fun
🎉👍
Glad you enjoyed
@@OurUpcycledLife 🥰
does it still turn brown after a while? I want to put mine in a frame and hoping that color would still remain after ironing it.
If you seal them they will stay vibrant but find if not they do fade
@@OurUpcycledLifehow do you seal? I’ll search your vids 😅
@@OurUpcycledLife
Can you use a heat press to do the same thing?
Not sure sorry
how long do these end up lasting?
Mine have lasted a long time
Can we use something else instead of Parchment paper
You could try sheets of paper but parchment works best
is it possible to change the parchment paper to clothes?
It would definitely be worth a try
Can I do this with straightener instead of iron
I have tried that unfortunately
How do you store these? Thanks
I just stored them in a old big heavy book between pages until I’m ready to use them 🌸🌿
Which paper is this
Parchment
Will it not turn in black??
I don’t find they do
Does the texture of the paper towels get pressed in to the flowers?
I didn’t notice it too much
I used an iron & my roses turned brown
If you’re trying to do thicker flowers, and you have to iron my longer sometimes they will scorch
I love u
Thanks 😊
Why would anyone not have a microwave
I actually don’t have one lol…
no but it's easy
Thank you.
You're welcome!
