Pin, you are such a friendly and attentive instructor! Raja is a good student, listens to you and tries. Now I am learning on a left-hand drive manual car, I like watching such videos and learning different patterns. Thank you Pin!
With me it was very fun occasion. I had my 2nd practical lesson ever and as previously I was making all standard manuevers. Then my instructor while near an entrance onto a public road he told me to turn right instead of left (which would lead me back to parking lot). He knew what he was doing, becuase he knew I'd hesitate if he asked me first if I feel ready. Good he knew his craft well, that he had made sure I'd stay only on a road, that had a priority over others. After that I said goodbye to a parking lot and found my nemesis: multi-lane roundabouts and perpendicular parking.
Another great lesson, thanks for uploading these Pin! I had my first driving lesson yesterday (and I’m 30 years old!) I felt confident on my first lesson because I’ve been watching your videos. My next lesson I’m doing steering and position, so this is really helpful ☺️🙌🏼
So, I just passed my driver's test. I am from South Africa and it is so interesting to see the differences in the tests. If you ever find yourself in SA, get a driving instructor to take you on a mock test. It's quite tricky! You get tested on reverse bay parking (which we call alley docking) from both left and right, parallel from both left and right, three point turn, hill start/incline, emergency stop and road test. The road includes multiple traffic lights, stop signs, roundabouts, etc. Similar to the UK. It would be so interesting to see your opinion and take on our test!
I passed my driving test first attempt 2 days ago with only 3 minors!!! and I am soooo happy, your videos helped me a lot so just wanted to say thank you. And for people who have there test coming up one advice I would mention is just remain calm don’t let your nerves over come you. Be confident in your driving ability and everything will be fine. Will probably make a video on how to pass so stay tuned!!!
"no-one is around so there's no need to signal" is bad advice IMO. You should always signal your intentions in the event someone's there that you're unaware of. Just a good habit to have, especially as a learner driver.
That's because always signalling will build your habit of signalling unnecessarily which can actually mislead other drivers in certain cases as they would misinterprate your signal.
My driving instructor made me drive on the main road during my very first lesson. I had no prior experience at the wheel. I was terrified, but it probably made me learn way quicker.
Hi Pin, just a quick thank you for consistently making such high quality content. As a learner driver, I can honestly say that my confidence and progression wouldn't be where it is now without your channel. THANK YOU!
Passed my test this week on my 2nd attempt with 4 minors 🥳🥳 Been watching your videos for last few months, they really helped me a lot. Still going to keep watching them now for fun 😃 Keep up the great work👌
Hi Pin, Since I passed my theory test here in Ireland I have been watching your videos. I 100% learned all rules from your videos. And I passed my test yesterday. Very good Paaa g keep it up.
Passed my driving test on the first attempt with only 4 minors. Thanks for all the videos, they helped me so much, especially becuase I started watching them before starting my actual lessons here in Malta!
My first lesson was at 3pm, right at school time, drove past 2 secondary schools, did 2 big roundabouts and went into third gear 🤣🤣 my tutor really put me in the deep end lmao
My old instructor put the sat nav on on my 6th lesson… might as well have been the radio bless his faith in me. But yeah I had the same experience as you in my manual lessons 😂
I had my first lesson a few days ago and thanks to watching your videos and being confident my instructor let me go on main roads and roundabouts even let me drive home on the first lesson.
go to a different driving instructor mate, it will make you enjoy going for drives or lessons. my brother had this problem my dad has a short temper which he hates and my brothers abit worse then me with driving as i was good using the clutch after afew hours of driving in some busy areas as i rode dirtbikes growing up and he didnt so that helped me understanding how a clutch works and what i need to do with it and using the gears etc he got yelled at one time by him after stalling basically everytime we came to a stop and trying to move off then he kicked him out and drove home and has barely gone driving since. He then got driving lessons for an instructor jsut to get comfortable again driving and he gets excited about doing his lessons and it makes me happy that hes going for his manual license. So in short get a better driving instructor that can control themselves even in stressful situations and you will find yourself making less errors and enjoying the drive rather then being stressed the whole time and hating the thought of driving
I passed my driving test a few days ago first time its a amazing feeling 😁😁😁 good luck to all who's taking future driving tests. 🚗 you'll smash it 💪 xxxx

@@hanspz5505 Unless that's a part of an order, then chances are that you're more likely to become mobilized. Also if you're a fast learner you would only need some supervision from your instructor, no interference with your driving, just like me.
I only had one lesson on how to control the car up an industrial estate and was on junctions the next and main roads doing everything by the 3rd I was a fast learner.
My first time driving a car my instructor made me drive in a busy road :/ I don’t even know how to use the pedals and don’t know how to steer the steering wheel properly. It was scary but fun.

I had my first lesson few days ago. The road was residential street, so not quiet at all like this, i felt super nervous having to drive a car in my first lesson on that road, i prefer somewhere like this. Shall i just find new instructor who might know better area to practice?
On my first lesson, I was out on 50mph roads..and even drove myself home from school (8 miles away). lol! Baptism of fire...And I was expected to do most of the controls. We just went over all the gears for 10 mins and off we went
Got on busy road on 3rd lesson? I got on main road on my 1st after practicing moving stoppin gear changin and steerin but that was only in the last 10 min but started 2nd lesson on main road straight away
Something I find confusing is when you are going to slow down to turn left or right. Are you meant to break and then clutch or clutch then break or take foot off acceleration and then clutch down and break or break and then clutch
20kph in 5th? No no no, 1: Moving off and slow speed 2: Driving around 10-20mph (the normal gear you'll be in most of the time) 3: Driving around 20-30mph when the road ahead is clear and there is not much traffic 4: 30-40mph usually when you're on a 40mph road or whilst you're entering motorway or dual carrageway 5: When on a national speed limit road and road ahead is well clear 6: (if you have it) the highest gear which you want to be in on motorways and dual carriageways when it's the national speed limit It all depends on the situation and you learn which gear to be in at whatever point. In heavy and really busy traffic where you make a few metres progress each time, remain in gear one. If you are moving off and you accelerate enough to get to around 2-4k revs/10mph then go to gear 2

Yeh same I drove home on my first lesson on the main roads people are like that it’s fast learning when all they need to do is to get on the roads to get used to it
Hi, since the new highway code rules surrounding people crossing and junctions, would I fail on the test if I did not give way to someone who was wanting to cross? Would I have to give way, if for instance there was an island for predestinations to stop on however no crossing marked on the road? Thank you! (:
Hey, from what I know you won't fail. If someone is looking to cross I believe you just have to be ready to stop. It is still paramount that your safety and the safety of other road users comes first so don't force to stop if there are other cars close behind you and it may be unsafe to stop. Ask your instructor to be safe. Hope this helps
That's the point and what you do and normal instructors would do. Otherwise what is the point or you might aswell be driving a automatic and doing half aswell!

I'm learning driving. I have a doubt when should i reduce the gears. One trainer told me go in 20kms/ hr in 5 th gear in traffic. I don't understand
Wtf ur driving instructor must be high on weed bro
20kph in 5th? No no no,
1: Moving off and slow speed
2: Driving around 10-20mph (the normal gear you'll be in most of the time)
3: Driving around 20-30mph when the road ahead is clear and there is not much traffic
4: 30-40mph usually when you're on a 40mph road or whilst you're entering motorway or dual carrageway
5: When on a national speed limit road and road ahead is well clear
6: (if you have it) the highest gear which you want to be in on motorways and dual carriageways when it's the national speed limit
It all depends on the situation and you learn which gear to be in at whatever point. In heavy and really busy traffic where you make a few metres progress each time, remain in gear one. If you are moving off and you accelerate enough to get to around 2-4k revs/10mph then go to gear 2
