Valhalla Knives Pastor and Pastor II: Any Good?

Valhalla Knives offered me a free sample of their new improved Pastor II, and also agreed to send me the original version for comparison. (Sorry, it's a long video because I'm basically reviewing two knives.) I admit I was very skeptical going in, given the look of some of their knives and their really low prices, but perhaps there's more here than meets the eye?
(And, yes, given my current fiscal situation, I may be featuring more "budget" blades.)

Been impatiently waiting for you to be able to get back. Really glad to hear that you and the family are healing. I recently bought a Daggerr Vendetta from their Discover line. Very impressive for 40 dollars. Extremely slicey and pointy. Will definitely be buying more from them.

You are correct, I would not buy a knife like those two either. All bling and no substance at first glance. But that would be judging a book by its cover. :) A decorated knife doesn't have to be low quality. As you have pointed out before, you don't really want your EDC knife to stand out and be all flashy. We all have different tastes, so these designs may not be for me. lol

I, really liked this review Mike cause, like you said, their initial impression (to me too), were gas station knives. BUT, seeing "you" reviewing them has definitely caught my attention. Mike Rizzo does not review gas station knives, now Igotta check this out!!! Glad I did! I'm really liking the Cleric. At first for it's looks and now for it's function. Blade size is also a plus cause most flippers seldom exceed 3&1/2 inches and a 4 inch blade is about the smallest size I usually like to carry! The old saying is true about judging a book, especially in this case... Again Mike, great review!!! Checking out the Tyranno vid too... Like now lol!

I'm still carrying the 2 for a light pointy knife. I sharpened about an inch of the back of the tip, and serrated the liner lock and guard projections for better purchase and pocket opening.
