Hey San, thank you so much for sharing openly and vulnerably about your experience as a DA and the healing process. Thank you San and Mike for discussing the need to extend compassion to the DA experience - we all have coping mechanisms that potentially hurt others and none of us chose to develop these coping mechanisms and it can be acknowledged that these coping mechanisms hurt ourselves probably more than they hurt others. I hope this podcast helps some DAs to feel confident to take the path to healing and join the school. DAs are definitely supported in the school, especially in the webinars.

To the PDS team, I LOVE how this video was so insightful and informative on the DA attachment style. I'm not a DA myself (formerly AP) however what I liked most about the video was the emphasis on COMPASSION. Irrespective of attachment style we all deserve compassion and humanizing each other supports this. In my personal anecdotes, it's true avoidant attachers often receive the harsh backlash most often from others. Never understood why individuals would hurt their loved ones (ex's/ current) through criticisms/shame when DA's themselves are hurting too. This is the line of quality education communities need, thank you PDS for this line of work that you do!

Thais does have a lot of compassion and it is attractive. You look around and everything is innervating and frustrating and yet there are some people who just have alot of compassion and I’m sure she has her own problems but just an over abundance of blessing. Thank you Thais. I’m poor I can’t afford anything and you put out these videos for free. What can I say

I think people are really quick to demonise the DA attachment style but as an FA I know that both sides of the spectrum are unhealthy. Compassion is the most important thing. Just because APs look like they put in the most effort and DAs look like they don't care doesn't mean one is better than the other. We all deserve love and empathy for what we've been through and we should be supporting DAs and everyone else to be their best selves.
