CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Benji (Simon Pegg) retrieves data from the damaged hard drives, including information on an upcoming function at Vatican City.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The third entry in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible film series involves super Impossible Mission Forces (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) being forced back into the field just when he was planning on marrying his girlfriend, Julia (Michelle Monaghan). The agency asks Hunt to save an operative (Keri Russell) he trained after weapons dealer Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) kidnaps her. With the help of his field team -- played by Ving Rhames, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, and Maggie Q -- Hunt achieves his goal, but becomes involved in a web of double-crosses that leave him wondering if he can trust his superiors (Billy Crudup and Laurence Fishburne). Eventually Davian threatens Julia's life in order to get away with his evil plan. Simon Pegg appears as an IMF tech expert.

I’m glad they kept Benji.
Benji was absolutely the best part of these movies
@@kakroom3407He and Luther (and of course Ethan) are the best.
@@mirekg5704 The IMF's winning trio.

I love Simon Pegg introduction to the series
This scene aged pretty well after what happened with the Entity in Dead Reckoning: Part 1
Crazy how they planned it 4 or 5 movies ago.
I think this scene from Mission Impossible 3 foreshadowed the events of Dead Reckoning!! That "The Entity" is in fact the Anti-God!! And this happened during Benji's introduction to the franchise!! Mind blown!!😱
Just saw MI7 and i have to see this scene inmediately. Literally this scene makes more sense now that in the movie itself
"That look in my eye's a pain in my ass. You know that right?"
I really like Ving Rhames and his characters.
Old reply but yes that was a great part of the scene. Luther knew with just a look in Ethan's eyes that is was going to be a pain in the butt xD
"...but no, I don't have any idea what it is, I was just speculating" 😂
Damn Bill Burr really killed it in the movies
Benji's monologue is very impressive. But that's just the tip of the iceberg for what would happen to him in the future.
I think with Simon Peggs explanation what really made this scene stand out as grim and serious is the absence of soundtrack. Any B or C grade movie would have a soundtrack trying to show its mediocrity. But i love the fact that the director actually used his imagination and let the background office sound do that work while Benji gave that sweet and terrifying explanation. It shows that even though everyone is busy with their regular work in this world typing, talking and with phones ringing there is something sinister being pointed out by this young gentleman which can come into effect at any time devastating everything around them.
i think this is a great example of subtle (not absent) scoring, because the music comes in as soon as he says anti-god
1:31 Benji just said about the Syndicate, which was planning to buy the Rabbit's foot
It could be. I'm hoping they look further into the rabbits foot cause there wasn't much info about it
@@aaronkenyon7112i think the point of it is that we as an audience doesn't know about it, it helps that the device isnt the target of the threat, Damien is
I also believe it's cuz of the over abundance of exposition in the 2nd movie of the device, the decision to make the 3rds device unknown managed to make it interesting for everyone
@@ninjanibba4259 It's basically a "Mcguffin" : an object use which as a "cop-out" to justify the entire scenario. It's exactly like the content of the briefcase in "Pulp Fiction": at the end of the movie, nobody knows what is inside but the story work entirely around it.
@@ninjanibba4259 And I agree about that fact that at the end of the movie, we don't know much about the device means that it can be use again for the future of the franchise, but I don't think it will happen
Was it the Syndicate that Davian was dealing with.
Benji is the only reason I watch Mission Impossible. He's such a charismatic and funny guy
You can see the difference, Simon was an alcoholic during this time
I’m calling it know the entity In dead reckoning is going to be related to the rabbits foot or going to called the anti god
"That look in your eyes is a pain in my ass..."
World's End, anyone?

Simon pegg 😍😍
Plot twist: Benji is lying about having gone to Oxford. Nobody from Oxford would call undergrads 'underclassmen', or refer to a professor as 'doctor'. What's his scheme?
Consider: Benji did attend Oxford but he was expelled under unfair circumstances (perhaps even resulting in him leaving the country in shame, hence why he isn't working for his own country's intelligence service), so out of spite he deliberately uses the incorrect terms - compare it to that popular tweet where someone claims never to have heard of Harvard in order to get a rise out of Ivy Leaguers
clearly his nefarious backstory will require two more movies to reveal, can’t wait for dead reckoning!!
So how about chubby Simon Pegg?
No Way. I like the way he is.
tarden132 please l want watch this movie mi 3 hinndi dubbed
I thought it was Matthew Corbett from Sooty.
HA!
It's now come out in interviews that this was during a rough period for him. Depression, alcoholism, etc. He's gotten better, thank goodness!
This is where they have been hiding at the headquarters to come up with plan on how to make this movie work.
Ving is awesome
Corona virus Is the rabbit's foot.
Covid shots in the making.
🤣🤣lol
I've been looking everywhere for this scene to connect the current film to. Great minds think alike.
i can make out some of the text on the screen and it says something about forming relationships with journalists and selling stories.
Том Круз✨ великолепен. Огонь🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Просто👌👌👌 супер😇💯.
Nice mystery box, JJ
well here we are but there is still time to save the ice cream
I liked Simon Pegg best in this movie
That scene got deap at one point
And it could be the inspiration of Mission Impossible Rogue Nation plot:
Rogue Organization = The Syndicate
Anti-God = Anti-IMF
@@ahmedmounir469 the syndicate was taken from the original series of the 60's, and I think that the Anti Fmi thing is more a reference to the fact that the syndicate in the M:I universe is what Specter is for the James Bond saga and books, anyway hopefully and in mission impossible 7 the plot of the "Anti God" is continued, a compound this broken cannot be wasted.
@@cyno6336 Interesting to know. I don't think they will still capitalize on the Syndicate though, they've been referring to it since Ghost Protocol. Maybe the Apostles will still impact the events of MI Dead Reckoning.
So whens the last time an it professional needed a hard drive to access emails 🤪
If the messaging software already had the login saved for easy access, similar to how Outlook accesses email without constantly needing you to re-enter passwords, then he would need the HDD to gain access to those program and account settings.

Rabbits foot?
red matter
Covid-19
I think it’s anti-matter. Think about it. One gram of anti-matter could destroy half of the earth scientifically. Benji refers to it as a compound. It could also be a virtual strand designed to infect humanity. Code name Rabbit’s Foot might be an antidote to some kind of virus because rabbits foots were recognised to be a sign of luck and risk. The device is known as a biohazard which means that it can destroy or Corrupt biological life. Anti-God must be something of great power for it to even mention god. It could also be COVID-19.
Edit: It might be an ancient disease stored in a bottle.
