Amtrak's Auto Train - America's Longest Passenger Train

- 4K - The Auto Train is arguably one of the most unique passenger trains in North America. Running overnight daily service between Virginia and Florida, it provides an easy alternative for East Coast travellers, seeking to avoid the I-95. Originally started as a private entity in the 1970's, Amtrak has been running this service since the 1980's, with great success.
Featured are various shots of the Auto Train along the CSX RF&P Subdivision in Northern Virginia, throughout 2022 and 2023. One of my favorite trains to shoot, not only due to the unique consist, but some vintage P40's, which are pooled for this rotation!

I took a friend to FLA/USA on the Auto Train in 2006 and I thought it was the most wonderful train trip I ever took. I since have taken Amtrak to AZ & TX. This is a great video.
Spectacular shots of the Auto Train at Powell Creek and the marina at Neabsco Creek. Excellent video of the Amtrak Auto Train.😁👍
I didn't know Amtrak had its own autoracks. They look kind of interesting. Good catches!
Fantastic Amtrak compilation video. Enjoyed watching and have a wonderul upcoming weekend.(Steve)
Great footage and coverage!
Great footage and coverage!❤❤👌👌
Excellent work altogether ❤
I can't believe the Autotrain doesn't carry a sightseer lounge! That's a shame! 😢
Seriously for the length of this train seems like their could multiple sightseers on every train
Auto train is my favorite train to watch cause of the power and superliners. Seeing P40s pull super liner consists with “freight” on the rear is just awesome. Reminds me of them 90’s DVDs I watched growing up.
did they start washing those autorack cars? because I remember a few years ago they used to be filthy.
