For those having the issue of the Settings header not showing when you preview, please make sure that the 'Group Header' is set to 'this element is visible on page load' - I think the visibility of the header is determined by the parent group, 'group settings' so visibility is determined by that overall group and not the individual groups under it.
For those who are having the issue of not seeing the Settings group Header in preview . Edit layout for “group header”check/select “element visible on page load” AND uncheck/ remove “element visible on page load”. Then on “group settings” uncheck “element visible on page load”. Hope this helps.
So I see alot of people had the issue of the settings page not showing up on preview. I had this problem too. But I believe Gregory maybe you accidently told us to leave on the settings itself "visible on page load" unchecked. When we preview we don't see it. However, when I check this box on box on setting or "Header Settings", I can now see the settings page. I'm not sure, but this is how I fixed it. 🤷🏾♂
Hi, I don’t believe this is a mistake made by Gregory. 😉 The property "This element is visible on page load" of "Group Settings" have to remain unchecked. The "Group Settings" should only be visible when the "Group Navlink (Settings)" is clicked. Maybe check your Conditional tab; there may be a mistake or a spelling error. Even Gregory made a spelling "error" on the word "settings". You should get something like: "Get v from page URL is [settings]"
Hello Gregory, Thanks for the awesome work, much appreciated. 1. My question is my settings page is not showing on preview . what would be the reason? The floating group menu and nav bar displays but the group settings does not. I followed every step even went back to the first steps changed the colours to match the demo app nothing works. Am stuck on this lesson for the past 3 days. Please advice. 2. Also since am a newbie learning bubble please would you link some basic easy practise apps from different industry, for me to build just to test my ability as i build without referring every step as i build like am doing with the "workplace app"
I also have issue #1, and have followed along twice to create Group Settings, confirming that all my Bubble settings match the demo, and still cannot see the Settings group when I select it in preview mode. Note: I cannot see the group even when "This element is visible on page load" is checked.
@@dinostyles365 Thank god, I thought am doing something wrong kept deleting, restarting etc etc and yes I also tried 'keep this element on checked' but nothing works. I wonder why? Do you know of any demo practice apps to build ? Am really interested in learning Bubble but most demo apps I work on I just get stuck something doesn't work and I Can't complete. Would appreciate if you kind of shared any you know. Thanks in advance.
@@didisworld9 I solved the problem and am moving forward again. The steps I took were to delete the entire group container then restart the lesson, running a preview after every step to confirm what I expected to see. My plan was to isolate the step where my process went wrong, but everything ran smoothly and I'm not having the issue anymore.

Here is the problem you have to leave the group header (this element is visible on page load to be checked) but the condition for the group settings is okay like that
Great videos. Is there any way to place the main container group automatically below the top navigation bar without manually entering the correct margin?
The navigation bar is a floating group, so if we place a regular group on the page it naturally moves to 0px underneath the floating group. So we always need to include margin.
