Untouched Caribbean Island. Can't Believe This Exists 😲 Explore Dominica in the Caribbean 🇩🇲

- In this video we spend a few days exploring the untouched and not overly well known Caribbean island of Dominica! Dominica is known as the nature island, with lots of waterfalls and rivers (365, one for every day of the year!).
We start things off with a quick tour of our hotel, where we are staying in the penthouse. This hotel is an adventure hotel and a great place to stay if you’re looking to plan lots of fun adventures around the island during your stay. You can find more about it here: www.wanderlust...
After setting off from the hotel to explore the island, and getting over a bit of motion sickness (the roads are very windy and even those that aren’t use to motion sickness can be affected, some prepared), we stop at the Emerald Pool. It’s about a 10 minute easy hike to get there and once you arrive you’ll encounter a lovely waterfall where you can also swim. This is definitely the place where we encountered more tourists than anywhere else!
Next up we had the most beautiful canoe ride through Indian River (a scene from Pirate’s of the Caribbean was filmed here), where we encountered loads of different types of birds, crabs and wildlife. Unfortunately it got dark very quickly and we had to stop filming.
We picked things up the next day at Morne Bruce where we had a great view overlooking the main city in Dominica, Roseau. We also make a stop at the botanical gardens to see a bus that was flattened by a tree many years ago in a hurricane and is now referred to as David and Goliath. We then spend a little bit of time exploring Roseau.
Later we make our way to a lake high up in the mountains, called Freshwater Lake where we fly the drone to get a better view.
Lastly we head to Trafalgar water falls to view the two side by side waterfalls affectionally known and mama and papa.

Dominica is a mountainous Caribbean island nation with natural hot springs and tropical rainforests. Morne Trois Pitons National Park is home to the volcanically heated, steam-covered Boiling Lake. The park also encompasses sulphur vents, the 65m-tall Trafalgar Falls and narrow Titou Gorge. To the west is Dominica’s capital, Roseau, with colorful timber houses and botanic gardens.

One of the many unique things about Dominica, you can go on a beach , a hike or a trail and be the only ones. Tranquility at its best
Thank you Anna and Trevor for this amazing review of my wonderful island. As you said if Christopher Columbus were to revisit, he would just embrace it once more. It's so unspoilt. You didn't visit the garrison at the Cabrits national park, you would have enjoyed it. Also in the southernmost point of the island is Scott's Head. This is my nature isle of the Caribbean! I tried!!! The drone decided not to work at the end.😣 It may have been because we we're already high in the air (elevation wise). Bummer I know but it was still just as beautiful on the ground. 😃- Trevor

Yes we flew from TO but they were last minute bookings so we had a few flights to get there. So worth it!

This was the last video we shot with a Canon G7X. It's such a great camera right? We do apply colour grading and luts etc but overall the camera does the brunt of the work. We like our new camera more though! - Trevor
