Nice video! Puerto Rico is amazing! We went last summer, and it was so fun. El Morro, El Yunque, and Barrachina are all must do, and of course, Old San Juan is always beatiful!
If you want to make piña colada at home use Coco Lopez coconut cream don’t confuse it with coconut milk, use fresh pineapple juice, crushed ice and one of these 3 Rums Bacardi, Don Q or Palo Viejo. Garnish if you want and listen to the piña colada song while sipping on your cocktail!
Hey guys thanks for visiting Puerto Rico. I live here and it gives us great joy to see people from all over the world world enjoying the island. I hope you got to see “El Yunque National rainforest “ and also visited the beaches. Happy travels!
hi guys, you took me back to my last visit in Puerto Rico...of course it was many, many years ago...but I still remember! well done as always and so informative! Thank you!
We stopped at San Juan on a cruise. Such a hot day but what an amazing city to walk around. Went to the same restaurant for Pina Coladas and Mofongo! Our ship didn’t leave u til 9pm so it was great to see the city at night as well.
I’m a Puerto Rican living in PR and we are so glad you came and explored our island, sad I didn’t get to meet ya, but you should come more and go to Rio Grande or Ponce or Cabo Rojo

Wow. Watching your videos brings back a lot of memories. I left the island 50 years ago, and have only been back on three separate occasions, but only briefly. Your videos are beautifully photographed, and it's a delight to travel with you (in a manner of speaking). Your youthful enthusiasm is refreshing--this coming from a 68-year old puertorican. Your pronunciation of Spanish place names is pretty good, and you can make it even better if you remember that all the vowels are pronounced (not silent). So you would, for example, say "SAN FE-LI-PE" making sure that you pronounce that final "E". In Spanish, unlike in English, vowels only have one sound. So you would pronounce them "ah", "eh", "ee", "oh", "oo" no matter where you find them. There is only one exception; the vowel "u" is silent if if it is followed by the vowels "i" or "e", like in "seguir"(to follow) or "sigue" (follow). The "U" is pronounceable if it has a diacritic mark (two dots) on top like this: "ü". Examples are: “Mayagüez” (mah-yah-gooehs) , a city on the west coast of Puerto Rico, or guiro (gooee-roh), a musical instrument made from a gourd. Again, I have enjoyed your videos about Puerto Rico a lot; thank you for posting them. I have subscribed, as I want to see your other travel videos. Enjoy your travels; we will enjoy your videos.
@@DelightfulTravellers Too many times to count, but sometimes we get the good weather...although if you walk nearly every day I guess it can;t be bad all the time ;D

Hello guys. I am thinking about a trip to Puerto Rico and of course when sea6, one of your videos showed. You 2 are so helpful. And I love your videos. I am a fan!!!!
I also visited PR in March and it was fun seeing it from your point of view. I stayed a week in Old San Juan and fell in love with the location and its people. I didn't make it to the rainforest in that time, though, so just another reason to go back 😉
PR is much more than old San Juan...Old San Juan is full of history too but is a part of San Juan. San Juan of course...is bigger and there is more to do. We got a great Metropolitan Area...a very modern city. But more than that...we have 78 town in total...to visit.
St. Augustine Florida has an old fort along the ocean too. Never been there but seen pictures. Reminded me of your start to this. I think Anna is getting sun burned. Thanks.
It was so hot when we went at the end of August! Those ice pops from senor paleta were so tasty! It was pretty quiet around Old San Juan, definitely not the busy season when we went and also Dorian was approaching :/ we left just before it went over the island as a tropical storm. The umbrellas were also taken down, we also got there just after the protests. Our favorite part of our trip was definitely getting to Culebra and Flamenco beach for a day. We'll be posting that in a few weeks, have so much to edit!

Hello my favorite travelers!! Thank you for sharing that piña colada spot. We will definitely take our family there on our Christmas vacation. Now I'm craving one 😂😂. Have you tried a "Piragua" (peeh-rah-goo-ah) yet??? It's Puerto Rican shaved ice. You can find the carts throughout Old San Juan, and if you do decide to try one...get a tropical flavor like: tamarind, passion fruit, guava, coconut, or mix the flavors!!! Lovely depiction of Old San Juan!! My beautiful island 💕💕 I was there 2 weeks ago and made travel vlog of some pretty beautiful beaches. Miss it so much already! Hoy you enjoyed your trip to my home!!!
The building at 3:04 in which the courtyard and Museo de las Americas are located is called "Cuartel de Ballajá". During Spanish/colonial times, it used to hold military barracks, and early in the 20th century it was used as a hospital.
Hey trevor and anna don’t forget to go el yunque rainforest is nice i when there with my family is alot to walk but u see alot thing and hear coqui sound 👍🐸🌴

@@DelightfulTravellers Things have changed there over the last few years but its an amazing place to see...keeping you two in our prayers hoping you can get back to Canada soon!!..Viv
They allow the cars in Old San Juan because real people actually live and work there. And those who live there sometimes have to drive to places that are not in walking distance. And those who working there don’t all live in Old San Juan. The people you see in Old San Juan are not all douche bag tourist that are not willing to spend $7 to enter Castillo San Filipe del Morro. They have regular lives.
Of course we know people live there. It's pretty easy to tell right away when you're there. What we're saying is it would be nice if only certain streets allowed cars. Lots of other places in the word do this in old towns that have people living within them. - Trevor
I am Puerto Rican and from and urbanism point of view, it does not make sense to allow cars in a historical town like that. Cars can be parked outside the perimeter of the city and locals can be given special stickers and be allowed to go in, but most of the cars there are NOT from locals, but people visiting. I live in Barcelona and there are tons of walkable streets where only residents are allowed to transit through.
It’s irrelevant to even mention the storm as that was a long time ago and there are no remnants from it. Puerto Rico is 100% back to normal. Whoever tells you different doesn’t live here. Ugh it’s now back to sooo crowded by tourists that just two days ago I was stuck for hours in traffic in old San Juan. It’s worth it to pay the $7 to go into that fort El Morro. That cemetery is interesting to visit as well. Some graves are from the colonial era.
Vieques and Culebra are two islands that are part of PR. They are on the east side of the island, about 15 miles or less to the east. You can travel by boat or by airplane(Air Flamenco about $50 one way). Culebra has one of the 10 most beautiful beaches of the world. "PLAYA FLAMENCO"...White sand, emerald water; Beautiful... Google it!
ch-traveladdict Hi! Today I saw your video (Vieques-Culebra-PR). Definitely you know what I'm talking about!! :D Nice to know you enjoyed our island including these 2 municipalities. (Culebra unique) Blessings! ;)
It's now $7 to go into El Morro?! I remember when it was free! And later on when I went with my parents as a teen they told us it was $3 so we said no and left, and now its $7!!! I know that the island needs the money but only tourists are willing to spend that, it's keeping locals away.
When was it free? We're not shocked that prices go up of course as that happens everywhere in the world. If the locals aren't visiting that's really too bad - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers Well I'm in my 30s now, I'm talking about when I was still a kid basically. I live on the island and my coworker was just telling me about this. She said she went with her daughter and grandkids but when they told them the price they all said no thank you and left. Young locals flock to the clubs and bar scenes of San Juan, the beaches, but when it comes to historical sights and museums there's less interest. Even less with the admission prices.
You can easily spend an entire afternoon exploring the many levels of San Felipe, but that $7 also gives you entrance to San Cristobal within 24hrs of purchase. It's actually a great value. Both forts are within walking distance to one another, we were able to visit both with one ticket.
Exactly. But it's extra interesting that it's just these 4 cities. Spain conquered a lot more than this. I wonder why these 4 had the same colourful treatment? - Trevor

All the cities that you mentioned do look the same because all the places where conquered by Spain 🇪🇸
Exactly. But it's extra interesting that it's just these 4 cities. Spain conquered a lot more than this. I wonder why these 4 had the same colourful treatment? - Trevor
How's the party scene like in Puerto Rico guys ?
Pranav Jags judging from 2 videos ago... great! - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers Oh , this is your first video that I watched , I'll check the previous ones out 👍
