Depends on the depth you want to fish and conditions, e.g. wind, current, etc. A lighter jig head 1/12, 1/16, 1/20 ounce are good for shallower water, or when you want to fish a jig head / soft plastic slower. But the lighter jig heads are harder to cast any distance. A heavier jighead, like a 1/6, 1/8 is good for casting a bit further distance, sinks quicker, but for shallow water it can get snagged easier. Cheers.
Yellow perch are here in Australia too but they are a different member of the perch family. These are Redfin Perch quite a bit different from the yellow (or as we call them, yellowbelly) perch
One of the best redfin sessions I've seen for a long time. Congratulations!
Wow mate, you’re on fire :) Such a great Redfin session!
Nice you caught so many! Where in Victoria is this?
Love the Jig Head organizer. Is it just a lure box and foam cut to fit.
Can't go wrong with the ST's with the Jig Spinner
Came for the Redfin tips, stayed for the history lesson
Hey mate, where do oyu get that jig head container from? Thats awesome!!!!
do you have any suggestions for weights of jig heads when land based, is it better to go as light as possible
1/8 to 1/16...1/12 is pretty good
