I own and use a large number of blades for my table saw. Keeping them safe and easy to find does not need to be a problem. This simple blade storage box can be made to store a few blades or quite a few according to your needs. It features staggered tabs for labeling your saw blades and a finger hole to make removing them easy. A few hours work in your shop will keep your table saw blades organized and sharp.
I like the fact that the trays don’t need to be recessed for the blades to sit inside. Definitely will be making one along these lines. Thanks for sharing.
Ralph- There are tons of Blade Storage Box plans and video's out there. After watching many of them, I found your design was the best fit for my shop.
Just made one from a shopsmith plan. I did modify the plan to include the tabs on the front like yours. Certainly makes access much better. Mine is considerably smaller and only stores 6 blades.
Definitely the best design out there! The tabs with labels, finger hole lifts, and ability to have trays in same box that hold various size blades for circular, miter, table saws. I think the only thing I would consider adding is a drawer on top or bottom for Dado parts.
Tried several times to get these plans on your web site but they will not download. They show up in cart but don’t download. Can’t find any contact information either.
Hey Ralph, I thought I'd give you a tip from my perspective. The intro in this video is too long for my taste. I hope this helps you.
This storage box looks great. Good thing you made this video because no one would be able to produce this box just from buying your "plans".
Moving fence too much leads to errors, no splitter or riving knife, dangling earphones. Good box but very poor practices.
To much work I will just throw them in the drawer with all the other blades.
