  • After having a puncture on the way to BMW, cotswold to get the menu switch changed. Over the three days, I found and fixed five punctures. Time for a new tyre. Although the repairs I fixed are not leaking.

    just ordered conti trail attack 3 on my KTM 950 adv. because I will spend most of my riding on the pavement this year. Have been using TKC 80 twinduro so far, so I am really looking forward what my feelings will be with the new tires :) Thx for your reviews.

    I'm tossing up between the TA3 and the RA4 tyres. Still plenty of miles left on my current Anakee Adventures.

      Looked at road attack 4 the last time when I had to change the rear after the punctures. And think that I'll try them next. Talking to the owner of the tyre shop he had good feed back with no issues. Just got back from Ireland and going Scotland in a few weeks. Will need new tyres before or after the trip. Let me know what you go for, and feel about them. Cheers and thanks for watching.

      @@kengsadventure1806I've a trip around Ireland this week, probably about 2,000km .. so when I get back from that, I'll look for new tyres.

      @@kengsadventure1806I'm on a charity rideout - bikersrideoutforprems where we visit 14 hospitals across the country and delivery equipment to NICUs. Leaving Dublin, heading north via Drogheda, Cavan, Enniskillen and across to Letterkenny. Then along the west coast via Sligo, Galway, Limerick, Tralee down to Cork, and then across to Waterford, Portlaoise, Mullingar and then back to Dublin. Should be great. 21 bikes going. If the weather holds, it will be brilliant .. if not, it'll still be good fun.

    Did you fit the V Rated trail attack 3 as it’s something I am looking at getting .

      Hi Kevin the Trail Attack 3 on my bike are R rated, which are for the heavier adventure bikes ( R1250GSA) fully loaded high speed runs no problems. Can't find any information on V rated 😕 thanks for watching and subscription. Up at ABR Festival end of the month I'll ask about. What bike have you got.

      I have the BMW GSA R1250 hp exactly the same as your bike , still running the original Bridgestone A41 a good tyre but the front is wearing rather odd . After 4000 miles so looking to change to the trail attack 3 at some point in the near future a mate of mine uses the V rated on the gsa and swears by them.

      @kevinhall5539 Sure I had the V rated before this set. Had a local bike shop order and fit this last pair and until your comment didn't realize they are not the same. But use these on some trails and fully loaded trips and happy with them.

      Hi Kevin Ken here just ordered some new off road tyres. So while there I asked what the ratings on my continental trail attack 3 was he looked at me daft and said V rated and showed me in small print on the tyres (m/s 72V ) Hope this clears up the confusion. The R in the tyre size is not the rating 😮 live and learn.

      I've been sort of off road. I think I rode over an old roll of barbed wire in the mud. Only a thought got no real explanation. Big thanks for watching.

    1. Stop running over debris in the road
    2. It's not the tires fault that your 1st plug didn't hold
    3. Considering how quickly you discovered the puncture at home, stop going to the shop that couldn't find the first puncture

    • @kengsadventure1806
      @kengsadventure1806  Рік тому

      Not all the roads we use are clean. Covered in mud, leaves, hedge cutting. The same goes for the puncture repair it was wet and in a dirty back lane. As for my motorad dealer not able to find a leak who knows.

      The puncture your on about, I was talking the bike in for the switch gear on the left side to be changed as menu button sticking.

      @doobie9550 Рік тому

      @Kengs Adventure that's just excuses for lack of riding ability and poor work.
      You are supposed to avoid debris on the road and a plug can successfully be installed on a trail in the woods at night.
      Don't know why you are mentioning the button in a video about tire punctures
