Ha, I was wondering if the sway bar was going to be angled due to the vacuum pump relocation bracket. That's awesome that they include that little plate to level it out, good job PSC!!!!
I think you just help me make my mind up about bumpers. I’ve been looking for awhile. Thank you Brad!!!
Right on! These are a great choice!
Love how those G34’s fit !! These upgrades totally changed the looks of your Jeep!
Added the same bumpers, love them. On the back we added the rigid lights with the red back light and hooked that up to the brake lights. So we have the white connected to the backup, and the red to brake lights. Looks great!
I've been patiently waiting for this front bumper since I saw it at SEMA. Looks great!
I'm with you, when I saw them at SEMA and then on Iron Man's Jeep, I know this was the bumper for me. I'm excited to start seeing these on many other Jeeps soon!
The bumpers look great! The overall look is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Good looking bumpers. That's what I'm putting on my 2016 Jeep JKU. the clean look of the winch sold me.
The recessed winch is so nice. I have a different bumper, but that is the exact reason I bought the bumper I have, so that I would get good clearance for the air to the radiator. Jeep looks awesome dude, nice work!
great realistic install! great job, and thanks for sharing. Good to know waiting till last to install the winch! Great looking bumpers!
Great looking bumpers and a great video as always. 👍 I currwntly have their brawler light front and rear bumpers with a tire carrier and their quality is superb. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Keep on jeepin'
PS has been making quaintly stuff for a while now and I don't think I've every heard anyone say they were disappointed with their gear. Thank!
I love the gradual build on this and hey....at least the jack made lifting the rear bumper into place. :) Looks amazing!!!
That is a good looking bumper Brad. I'll add it to my list of contenders. Looking to get a bumper soon.
Looks real nice. Big fan of Poison Spyder and factor 55. Your setup looks correct now. No directions, well you conquered it...good job. I ain't gonna lie I'd be lost.
Thanks! I had to take a few minutes here and there just to figure things out as I was going along. Not having instructions keeps you thinking!
This bumper on your Jeep is totally awesome! Nice work! I love it!!!
Wow those bumpers made a big difference in the look of your Jeep, looks great!!! Can't wait to see the new fenders. 👍
So glad to be rid of the plastic! Thank you! Fenders soon!
You've done a terrific job with your rig. hat kind of fenders are you getting?
I have a Poison Spyder brawler lite front bumper and its great.. but I am really jealous of the low profile winch mount. Looks good!
Nice bumper I like the winch is tucked away... on a non related note I seen your rig in a 4wheel parts magazine for a KC advertisement, pretty cool seeing your rig in there. Have a great Easter bud.
Thanks, I was pretty exited about the ad! Happy Easter to you as well!
Looks awesome! The bumpers really look well made. Nice install video. I really like your honesty about products and the issues you share during your installs. Your rig is looking amazing!
Thanks you! I imagine if I would have had the instruction it would have been much, much simpler... but who need instructions!!!
Great video. I like that you left in your errors for all to see, because I probably would've committed the same errors.
I don't think I've ever done and install that went perfectly, so keeping it real I think is important for first time DIY folks.
I have the poison spyder brawler lite front bumper and love it. Solid.
I’m not usually the biggest fan of these poison spyder bumpers but I gotta say these really look nice on your jeep! 👍
Thanks, I'm very happy with how it all turned out!
Install looks very clean and fits the JK very well!
Thanks!
Did the kc light plug straight in to where the factory fog lights did or did you have to splice the
wires?
answered below
Great look! I want the Trail stinger with this recessed wench style. Awesome install with no instructions.
Miss these kinds of videos
Excellent channel. And my favorite front bumper. Keep up the good work
That's awesome Brad!!! You look like a kid on Xmas happy!! Congrats!! Love the look. Can't wait to see the fender flares installed..
LOL! Ya, pretty happy for sure! Thanks!
Hello: Looks like they thought of everything.. I think the Bull Bar sticks out further than I want...
What size of cube lights that bumper need it ?
3" cube lights will fit.
I am in the process of installing my bruiser bumper with g34 as well. However, either the supplied bolt in the KC g34 are too big or poison Spyder changed the size of the mounting holes.
Also recommend replacing the button head with real bolts on the vacuum pump relocation bracket. I some how managed to bend and break one of the supplied button heads, lol. No big deal, hardware store to the rescue......
Also if you use a warn zeon winch you'll need to cut off the forward piece of OEM vacuum pump bracket. I cut the winch mount like in the video and I still needed to cut the factory bracket. Anyway, just a little id like to add to this great video and review. Thanks Trailrecon!
rig is coming along man! Keep up the good work
Thank you!
I just put that same rear bumper on my JK. The instructions are awful and I couldn't find a good color PDF anywhere,. Fortunately I watched your video beforehand so I knew the process. Thanks!
Plasti dip the chrome Jeep emblem black. It would make the front of your rig way cooler!
Very nice Brad! Clean lines, well built, SOLID! I’m wondering if Poison Spyder is considering doing the same bumper to accommodate KC Gravity Pro fog light? Don’t want to give up my KC Gravity Pro setup I got going on 🤗
It looks great I have a Poison Spyder bumper and I love it. Very good stuff reasonably priced.
Hey Brad, doing this exact time install, quick question. I'm trying to put KC g34 lights in bumper and bolt on pod doesn't fit through poison Spyder bracket. Did you replace bolt or drill out slot on bumper??? What was your method? Was hoping it would have just bolted right up.
Bumpers look nice.
I would suggest doing an upgrade on the cargo door hinges. Those dv8 offroad hinges are amazing.
Already done... just did it the morning!
Nice job on the install and dealing with some of the obstacles that came up. Its a good looking set of bumpers - I wonder if PS will offer a version with round fog light openings or possibly a round adapter plate.
Thanks! That's a good question regarding the round light option, I hope so as I think there are lots of folks that would prefer that.
Good job man!!! It's always a fly by wire with Jeeps, JMIW, Just Make It Work! I like the bumpers a lot, how about a subscriber discount?!?!?!?!?!? Thanks again man! Keep on Jeep'n well!!!
You can use the code TRAILRECON on Northridge4x4's website and get discounts on many of their items (doesn't work for everything).
Man great work keep it up!! One thing I like about you is how perfectionist you are , just like me keep it up !
I have a little OCD... :)
Look Good Brad. Good Job
your headlights are awesome.
Nice job goin with the Poison Spyder bumper, I have their Brawler Lite and they really knock it outta the park when it comes to build quality. The one and only gripe I have (if you can even call it one) is their powder coating isn't really too good it begins to chip off and it stains easily too, but nothing a coat of black spray paint can't fix. The bumpers can take a REAL beating tho, I've taken down small trees no problem and recovered people with no evidence at all left behind on the bumper. Truly worth the money.
Well I hope I don't have to take down any small trees, but looking forward to the durability of these. Thank you!
I order my bare steel and painted my self. It’s crazy they charge around $120 for their coating lol
Arckiz I think when I ordered mine they had a special offer where the coating was discounted or free (I think heavily discounted). Definitely going to strip down and repaint it soon tho.
Alvin Rohani nice! I did gave them a call about an item and ended getting free shipping lol
As always another good informative video, thanks again!
I love this bumper! And one day my JK will be wearing it!
I think it's will be a nice additions to your Jeep!
Awesome video as usual!!👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you sir!
Poison Spider good choice Brad! like it a lot.
Right on!
Great choice on the bumpers! I’ve been very happy with my Crawler Conceptz bumpers, but the look of these might have me swapping them out if I were farther along in my build.
Good video bro. Looking good. Those fenders are going to compliment it nicely.
Thank!
Thanks Brad, just installed mine 👌 is there a space for a high lift jack anywhere?
Curious about the prices but I guess that's undecided. Both bumpers look fantastic and you figured it out pretty well.
Looks awesome! Do you happen to have a measurement for the size of the fog light openings?
Isn’t there a front skid plate as well? Looks great I like these and don’t want to relocate my license plate/lose my rear tire
Very clean, professional look
I'm really surprised it does not require any cutting. looks great.
A little cutting with that vacuum pump bracket, but that is all.
Hi Brad, I love your channel and have learned a lot. I bought the same bumper and the G34 KC lights like you did here. Did you have to modify anything to get the lights to fit? I cant get the bumper all the way on with the lights installed. I may need to find a smaller light. Any suggestions would be much apppreciated.
Following
I really like the looks of both, though I’ve seen some bad reviews of the rear bumper and for the possible future of camping with my Jeep I’m probably going to go with the LoD rear bumper and tire carrier for its additions such as fuel cans and other attachments. Awesome video!
Hate the vacuum pump relocation bracket, I have the older model of the same bar (without the recessed winch plate). Why not relocate the vac pump into the engine bay and shorten the hoses? I think Teraflex sell a relocation kit.
Once again great video! I will be ordering these soon so hopefully i will find a black Friday or Cyber Monday sale.
Thanks! I hope you are able to find a great deal!
Nice! keep waiting to see them come out with the JL
I know they are working on JL bumpers and I can't wait to see what they come up with.
Looks great! I have the original version of the brawler I really like the recessed winch I might have to sell mine and get a new one.
Videos are great thx, Do you have one on how to cut your fenders. I know there are others out there but you do such a great job of how to’s and so on
Honestly, I watch RockTroopers video on how to cut fenders... I didn't have time to film a video when I did mine and his is very detailed.
You have one of the best intro's
Appreciate that, thank you!
Is there any video showing how you regear or calibrate the speedo meter after installing big tyres?
Looks good! I am looking for something with a better approach angle to replace my LOD in the future but most of them I see do not have the recessed winch that I want. So if this is offered with round light holes to accept a factory style light I may be a buyer!
Your Jeep is coming together nicely now, I like the new clean front it look so much better now. I would suggest getting the skid plate for the bottom, it will hide and protect that vacuum pump, protect the steering track bars and it will improve the look even more.
Do you know and keep track of the cost of all the accessories and upgrades?
THanks! The skid plate is on my to-do list. I don't keep track...not sure I wan to know, LOL!
Probably would have chopped off that vacuum pump bracket. Factory hard rock bumpers have the same problem when installing a winch plate, mopar suggests bracket removal.. Honestly a horrible place for that pump to begin with! Either way the bumpers look AMAZING! Long time coming!
You need to hit up Arcteryx for some clothing/jackets/gear....
Do you plan to tow anything? Very few bumpers are tow rated, even though they have the hitch. Just curious, as I'd like to run the similar setup.
Do you think the AEV rear tire carried match with your rear bumper?
Can you put the winch support link?
Did the kc fog lights plug into the stock harness? Do you still pull the turn sign to turn the fog lights on and off? I'm looking to get this bumper really soon. Love the channel
Didn't have a 1/2" bit? I thought you had step bits. Looks dang fine either way.
Did the KC lights plug in straight to where the OEM fog lights or did you have to splice them?
If you don't mind... What winch plate did you use? Or, did it even need one?
So you know where that bar is that has a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the bumper? I bit the bullet and got 2 more cyclone lights, it gives a nice coverage of lighting for your under carriage camera for night riding. You'll need larger washers you probably have in your misc items. I mention this because this is something you talked about doing in your cyclone light setup ;)
That's a great suggestions... I'm going to have to get a couple more cyclones! Thank you!
TrailRecon np, if you get the kit that you got similar to your engine bay lights, you'll end up cutting the loom to make it shorter between lights, it's a super easy run obviously from there to your spod/Apollo. I know 6 lights then getting 2 more is a stretch but you'll be glad you did it haha.. Thx for this VID, I've been looking for a shorty bumper to replace the barricade.
Hey Brad, where can I buy a pry bar for the Christmas Tree plastic plug clips?
Are you still running the stock tire carrier? I can't imagine it holding up to the amount of wheeling you do sir.
Nope, I upgraded to a Teraflex tire carrier.
@@TrailRecon After a year how is the Teraflex tire carrier holding up? I'm getting ready to order one. Thanks
So nice.
Brad, what is the make model and size of your wheels? Are you happy with them?
Hello , what’s the tow capacity on your new poison Spyder rear bumper ? I’m interested in getting one of those trailer campers so I wanted to know if that poison Spyder would pull that with ease
Bumpers look amazing I would modify them and put lights on each end for the side views. What year is your jeep
I may slap some rock lights on the edges, we'll see. Jeep is a 2105. Thanks!
Why mix square lights with round lights ?
Great video in detail!! Just a question... How would the factory airbags work with your front bumper?
That's a good question and something I'll have to look into a little deeper. I'm not sure where the sensor is located, but I'll find out.
I was going to go with a Savvy stubby alloy bumper but you have given me a decision to make. That is one sharp bumper. Only considered Savvy because of the lightweight and strength. But this Poison Spyder looks very clean. Can you tell me what it weighs without the winch?
I actually was taking a close look at the Savvy a while back, but you have to do a lot of cutting and they was a turn off for me. Sorry, I didn't weigh them, but hopefully they will have full specs available soon.
TrailRecon Plus the Savvy is bare. I was planning on Line X'ing it. I'll ask Poison Spyder for the specs soon. Thx
My poison spyder fairlead bolts don’t fit through the bumper holes
that looks more trail ready now...
So do the new square front lights function on the OEM fog light switch on the steering column?
Yes, I wired them up to the stock fog light wiring harness and they function off the steering column.
@@TrailRecon Hello, regarding this wiring deal - May I ask: Did you cut off the plug facing the OEM fogs, spliced to the new KC34's to interface w/ existing OEM steering colm'. switch?... or simply hard wired? Lastly, did you need anti-flicker devices. I purchased my 2018 Willys W 2 DR back in March of 19' - still looking for a bumper ensemble. You have me sold - problem is I don't know much about those light cubes. I think there's a revision for the circular ports but I kind of like the square ones you have installed. BTW, I've enjoyed all your " How to" videos - outstanding job!
Great result!😀
'Brad....when are you gonna mount a winch on that nice, new bumper??? Just kidding. I know..Calm down .
Looks great! 👍⭐🏆
HAHA! You know, it might be an inexpensive winch and except for a broken connector pin I had to replace, it's served me well over the last 3 years. I have pulled myself and several others out of tough spots many a time with this guy..... but a Warn would be nice!
Hey Brad, what beam pattern are you using for those g34s?
Question for 2018 jl sport owners will a leveling kit be needed after replacing the stock bumber with the Poison Spyder bruiser?
Hey Brad, I have 35s and they won’t fit with the stock tire carrier with this bumper, what did you do to fit your tire on the back?
That's a great look! Thanks for sharing.
Is this the mid size one. I see they have 2 available and there website does not give good photos
How did this hold up and how is the brand now?
I'm also curious about the wiring for the fog lights. Did you use the factory wiring?
No, there is an adapter you can get that hooks them right up.
Thanks for the info! I'm looking at these bumpers myself.
Like the bumpers.
Enjoyed the video and those bumpers have a really nice look. Is there no provision for mounting a front license plate?
There is a winch fairlead license plate contraption I have seen a few folks use, there are some options out there.
So do you need to run mud flaps with that much tire exposed
Looks great! I am dreaming and researching for now, so I can live vicariously through you and a few others. My only thought on these, is that I really like the jack points that are on the Smittybuilt bumpers.
Do you think you may take advantage of the modular tire carrier on that?
I just upgraded my tailgate hinges today, so need to see if the PS tire carrier will still work... these new hinges are bulky. Thanks!
What is the purpose of the bar sticking out so much?
