Yeah, I think the original tune was "I am The Doctor" but they're very similar. I also love "Remember Me" and "The Sun's Gone Wibbly" - both from Series 5. "Up the Shard" has recently grown on me.
Man with Chips: Really, Doctor? A motorbike. It hardly seems like you. The Doctor: I rode this in the Anti-Grav Olympics, 2074. I came last. Man with Chips: The building is in lock-down. I'm afraid you're not coming in. The Doctor: Did you even hear the word, "anti-grav"? Alexei: Seriously? He can do that? He can really actually do that? Miss Kizlet: Oh dear- Man with Chips: -lord. {There's a great crashing of glass}
I love how The Doctor calls in UNIT after they've stopped an alien invasion in the same way Batman calls the Police after he's done stopping a criminal. That's actually kinda cool...even if UNIT *does* end up killing the aliens once The Doctor goes away and once they're done arresting people. The parallels between The Doctor and Batman are kinda uncanny at times.
Miss Kizlet: Do come in. 11: Download her. Miss Kizlet: Sorry about the draft. 11: Download her back into her body, right now! Miss Kizlet: I can't! 11: Yes you can! Miss Kizlet: She's a fully integrated part of the data cloud now. She can't be separated. 11: Then download the entire cloud! Everyone you've trapped in there! Miss Kizlet: You realize what would happen. 11: Yes, those do who would have bodies would be free! Miss Kizlet: A tiny number, most would simply die! 11: They would be released from a living hell. It's the best you can do for them. So give the order. Miss Kizlet: And why would you do that? 11: Because I'm going to motivate you! Any Second Now! Miss Kizlet: You ridiculous man. Why did you come here? Whatever for? 11: I didn't.
@@mrflibble1259 i agree that it isn't the most important or action packed story, since it's main point is to introduce the companion, but it is a fun episode with memorable moments. I have to respect it when Moffat opted for more character driven stories rather than sci fi affairs with a villain of the week
Mary McGinnis I recently re-watched series 5, I think he acted the best in that series, series 6 was best written and series 7 had best clothes and soundtrack. ^.^
+NewLondon Toby I couldn't put it better myself! love the acting in 5 love the writing (inturms of dialogue not really storys! personally each season is has its good amount of good and bad storys) in 6 and love the production on 7!
Agreed. For me, The Pandorica Opens is about the height of Doctor Who (Though I didn't like the speech at Stonehenge), followed up by Big Bang 2. 11 is my doctor, though 10 was my first. Seasons 5 & 6 are the height of the show for me with 3 & 4 thrown in for good mix. 5 & 6 featured some beautiful series-long arcs, and it was probably the greatest way Moffat influenced the show as showrunner. I loved 11 / Amy / Rory with River thrown in.
2:23 The Doctor: I'm going to motivate you. Any second now. Miss Kizlet: You ridiculous man. Why did you even come here. Whatever for? The Doctor: I didn't. Miss Kizlet: What? The Doctor: I'm still in the cafe. I'm finishing my coffee. Lovely spot. Miss Kizlet: What are you talking about? The Doctor: You hack people. But me, I'm old-fashioned. I hack technology.
I only just realised this was a variant of The Majestic Tale thanks to the comments. I love how techno and sinister it is in the beginning not only because of the great intelligence but because it's the doctor on the warpath coming for his companion
When I hear the first minute & fifteen seconds of this song, I remember the opening of "The Day Of The Doctor" where The Doctor is being picked up in the TARDIS by U.N.I.T. and he's hanging on for dear life over Trafalgar Square.
My favourite series with my favourite doctor using my 2nd favourite tardis interior the height of the smith era the bells of St. John was my 3rd favourite ep ever (behind 1. End of time and 2. The day of the doctor)
You know, I really think that the Third Doctor would have loved to do something like this.
Yeah, the action-packed elderly one.
Oh my gosh, yes! I can just imagine him on the bike with his cape and everything!
Oh, man... That would have been fantastic.
Just imagining he outfitted Bessie to do anti gravity.
Dude imagine if Bessie could do that
This variation of The majestic tale (of a madman in a box) is awesome.
Nuff' said.

when the doctor drives up the side of your headquarters on an antigrav with that look on his face, you know you've pissed him off.
0:53 has to be one of the best variations on I am the doctor
I just want to say, this is officially the most civilized comment section i have ever seen.
We're the Doctor Who fandom. We've been brainwashed by the Brits to be polite.
Cael Filiocht You belong to us...You shall be like us...
thx
I know! Whovians are the most civilised fandom ever.

@@Jack-ry7fl cos asside from a few scenes, it's a pretty dull episode with a rubbish pay-off, a pretty nonsensical plot and a poor companion.

The background music at 2:30 is from Torchwood: Miracle Day, I think it was used as Oswald Danes' theme.
This should've been split into two tracks at 1:30, the second part is just so different and far more dull.
I really like that part
This music makes me happy.
I need this song for my wake up alarm! It will wake me up real good!
I Love 0:53 Thats Cool.
