After 30 years of being bullied by my thoughts every minute every second I have the last year realised that I am not my thoughts, that most of my thoughts generate from the subconscious mind which is a program on auto repeat with ideas picked up from my childhood. So it is actually not me Me bullying myself. What a liberation...

Robert I have listened to this video for the last 12 years, and have shared it with many people. I used it as a part of "self compassion" training for my teams. Many gave the feedback that it was the best part of the education. Self Compassion is a revolutionary concept for many. Today I retire after a 36 year career in health care as a psychiatric social worker and manager. Thank you so much for being a part of my journey.✌

Hi There, I tried to respond a couple weeks ago, but i don't see that it went through. I would be game to join you on a zoom and you can be in touch with me at robstrock@gmail.com. I find what you are saying as compelling and believe we'd have a lot to share. Thanks for your comment. Best Robert

Hi Morpheus, Thanks for your sharing of it having value for you. FYI There is both an audio version of my book "Awareness That Heals" Bringing Heart and Wisdom to Life's Challenges" that has three other guided meditations and a chapter with the same title. The sites are either awarenessthatheals.org or theglobalbridge.org. I wish you continuous movement toward self compassion. Take care, Robert

    Hi Rob,
I know judgment is the opposite of the point, here, but as a meditator (and also a counselor) I found this way too jargon-y to be peaceful. I wonder if there is a way to divide the practices into three separate meditations? Less talk; more breath? More self-reflection? A lot of the words you used are too academic and too abstract.

this is wonderful. However, I have tried at least 4 times to write down the steps and haven't been able to follow Mr. Strock.

Although the content was good, I found that there was too much to take in during one short meditation. I think this needs broken down into smaller chunks to be beneficial, especially if you are in a mind frame of anxiety or fear .

I would enjoy setting up a zoom with you if you are game as you have used this video (as well as many others) in a way that I have hoped
that many have. You are one of a smaller group that has given me such useful feedback and I'd like to meet you. (even though you're retiring) Thanks Robert My email is robstrock@gmail.com as I don't want to give my phone # here.

Slow the heck down...so fast you aggravate my nerves, not calm them.
