Huh. It reminds me of how recently in China, people who were caught reporting information or observation on the flu that went against the official state narrative were basically forced to read statements stating their "wrongdoing," and which were then shared on various media platforms to ensure the rest of the masses "comply."

Yes, your are correct but I would conclude that the indoctrination that happens to the youth in colleges and universities, only happens and takes hold in the lives of the young people is because their parents have failed to raise them with solid fundamentals and true convictions about life and the world around them and due to political correctness they haven't or chose to not tell them about what is considered nowadays touchy subjects. So the youth believe any and everything there told by these "intellectuals". Also it is true some parents did an admirable job and the child has chosen to go down a different path but most are not taught truths and right from wrong, heck most younger people don't believe there is such a thing as right from wrong, their belief is, "if it feels good to you than it can't be wrong". Its easier to point to an institution and blame them than for some parents to own up to doing a poor job of raising their offspring.

It’s not a cult as in a religion. These are people who are in favour of an authoritarian government to solve what they see as problems in society. That means draconian laws and punishments, secret police watching over society with prescribed literature and media. A culture of revenge with “re-education” of those they deem to have the wrong thought processes. They are the proto NKVD, Gestapo, Stasi of the modern age.

_"The concept of self-criticism is a component of some Marxist schools of thought, primarily that of Marxism-Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism and Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. The concept was first introduced by Joseph Stalin in his 1925 work The Foundations of Leninism[23] and later expanded upon in his 1928 work Against Vulgarising the Slogan of Self-Criticism.[24] The Marxist concept of self-criticism is also present in the works of Mao Zedong, who was heavily influenced by Stalin, dedicating an entire chapter of The Little Red Book to the issue._
_In some communist states, party members who had fallen out of favor with the nomenklatura were sometimes forced to undergo self-criticism sessions, producing either written or verbal statements detailing their ideological errors and affirming their renewed belief in the party line. However, self-criticism did not guarantee political rehabilitation and often offenders were still expelled from the party, or in some cases even executed."_

While I agree that much better schools exist, I have to point out that this problem still worms its way into the system in many subtle ways. My public university alma mater, for example, still has 'safe spaces' in spite of a state mandate against them. I do what I can to counter the insidious ideas by keeping in touch with classmates who became faculty members. However, I refused further reception of their alumni publication with an explanation to them of my reasons. Their declarations of acceptance and tolerance have led to policies that lead me to discourage anyone who values my opinion from attending. My own return would NOT be accepted or tolerated. Those who knew me as a student would see the irony because I spent much more time than the average student developing friendships with people from literally every continent in the world. One of my favorite groups to spend Saturday evenings with were from Thailand. I admired their ability to have fun without drinking. My *roommates* included one from Turkey, one from Tokyo, and many Americans with quite different backgrounds and ideals from mine. I wouldn't say I tolerated or accepted them, which to me are condescending ways to treat people. We enjoyed sharing each others' company.

So I’m sure there’s a psych term for this that I just don’t know, but when the ignorant and self righteous are allowed to run free in these institutions they become the very thing they claim to hate. The administrations and faculty are to blame. This is not a spirit of learning. No humility or reverence for that which they do not know. Always assume you may have more to learn.

Hey Bret! I have a question for you: When you we teaching these wild dogs you used to call students, did you teach any of them to reach out after they destroyed someone's life? Or did you just teach them to attack anything that moves then stand there with a stupid look on your face when they did exactly that and attacked you?
In short, Bret.. you reap what you sow.
