I love how Ross uses the specific lenses of his characters to subtly misinterpret, and yet somehow find real angles on, the Mythos, and how Desmond is a kind of Marxist inversion of Vaughan. Fucking brilliant.
Ross is very entertaining would like to see him guest star on get in the trunk and interact with them I bet it would be entertaining
And Desmond calls out Vaughan for having an obsessive filter over the truth, perfect.

My great-grandfather was named Mick Mahoney and he was a labor organizer. But in Cork and then New York, not Belfast. So I'm absolutely loving Ross' new character.
I can't get over how Troy gets that bouffant hair into a cap. His caps must be like the TARDIS.
Meant to comment this under last week's video but i'm here now so I'd like to propose something to combine everyone's love for cinematic montages and my love for 1920s music.
Margot's flashbacks to Vaughn under the influence of other beings and his own madness set to "He May Be Your Dog But He's Wearing My Collar" by Rosa Henderson. Rambling and crazed stares and grabbing and aiming guns where he shouldn't while a lighthearted, lilty voice sings
"He may be your dog

When he wants good exercise
He might eat right out your hand

I love that Troy the friend bypasses Troy the gamer in this moment. Personally, I allow any social skill to be used to tell a lie with the fast talk caveat: the person might figure out you lied to them later on.
In my minds eye Tillinghast is played by Bruce Cambel

Carter and Fairuz's insane role in that manufacturing place had me clapping. Standing ovation style. Love amazing RP moments like that.
One tidbit that seemed to fly by unnoticed was when Troy (in character as the plant manager) mentioned that he was sure that nothing could get in... OR OUT... of the safe. Also I thought that Carter still had the creepy knife from New York?
You mentioned that earthquake. I was at a HS performance of Addam's Family and come to find out, Th night was interrupted with an earthquake. Last night was a burnt popcorn induced fire alarm. I was like "This is the most Addam's production of the musical it could be. How wonderful."
The eldritch horrors got Troy's hat.
Troy's earthquake banter reminded me of my favorite Lovecraft line in Call of Cthulhu: "...a mountain walked or stumbled."

Fun fact: When I went to Germany the first time I found out that some places have a sort of trough in the toilets, especially some old pubs or at the Oktoberfest. Even in Czech Republic I found one 😂 it's uncomfortable hahaha (we don't have them in Italy).
that round communal urinal that Troy mentions at around 25:30, we had that in one of my Elementary School bathrooms. I hated it. there was one kid who always dropped his pants all the way to the floor while standing on his tip toes to use it. until now i thought it was just some figment of false memory, like "nah, those couldn't exist- but hearing Troy mention it, maybe ....

I'm loving Ross's switcheroo from 20th C Catholic fanaticism to Marxist-Materialism. There's some truth to it too, since in Call of Cthulhu it's almost always the wealthiest people running the cult, hoarding the tomes, and learning the spells, while the rank and file cultists often get little but promises.
The best part was the anarchocommunist listening to the stories of gods and monsters while spouting his own insanity and clearly thinking the others are crazy. Ross is great. Hehe.
The tarps covering things was a great touch, reminds me of when I used to work in a government contracting facility.
Urinal data point - the Kingdome (Seattle) definitely had circular communal urinals. It was an exercise in non-eye contact.

a quick way to know what 1/5 (20%) of your skill is to round down tot he nearest 5 and take then move the decimal (in rob's case 48 = 45 = 4.5) and x2 (9). Of course only round down if the score is not already ending in a 5 or 0. 20% 65 would be 13, 70 would be 14 so everything from 65 to 69 would be 13

*This* is why I love RPG actual plays. Carter swallowing his pride and attempting to try Feiruz's bobby pin technique? In ANY kind of pre-written media, that exhibition of character growth would have instantly netted him a w. But here the dice decide, and they decided to give him a fumble. I love this game ❤

I have heard of the notion of "failing upward" but with that safe scene I think the team may have "succeeded downward " given that the managers reaction was to increase security.

Okay so boys and girls when you use reason and logic and point out areas of facts consistent with the accuracy of the situation in a persuasive manner, this is indeed called persuade. But when you're lying through your teeth this is a fast talk. So Ross that persuade role should have been a fast talk. And frankly you should have gotten a bonus die for it as well. Just for good role playing.
