You are right madam disability is physical but not mental some people may physically fit but mentally disabled . All humans are made by god and but disabled people are god gifted people. But physically fit people cannot do many works which are done by physically disabled people.

This is definitely a sensitive topic
But smita sabharwal maam addressed it perfectly and spoke the truth. Period.
She never insulted anyone. She just said, 3 services requires a lot of field work so why disability quota for it.
And if someone closely monitors appointments, the ips and forest service do not appoint physically disabled.
Imagine if there is a flood it some other disaster management situation in your district and the collector cannot come to field to check and interact with general public because he/she is disabled, it would be such a big issue.
Just because the topic is sensitive doesn't mean smita maam didn't speak the truth. If someone with 25 years of experience in IAS is saying it, then they deserve some benefit of doubt and not downright emotionally guilt trip them and speak about all legal provisions, service rules etc.
Smita maam has always spoken for the larger good of general public, if she was appreciated then, she should be more as well

Say this she is actually running a coaching mafia her fee is the expensive one in all over Hyderabad it’s almost sometimes more than delhi and u don’t get quality study no use for your. Bala Latha has misread the statement. Smitha was saying there should be a prohibition on disabled candidates for positions like IAS, which also demands faster mobility and physical fitness like IPS and IFS. She is absolutely correct and has the greater responsibility to share her views to the public.
She raised a rational question, and you are questioning her empathy behind it.

Bala Latha posting was also kept on hold for a long time. She has money and she went to the Court and after several hearings only she got posting in Defence Service previously.

In India, people with disabilities are treated as second class citizens. They are generally left to their own devices. Except those who are settled in government jobs, etc., most of the PWD are living without any dignity. The successive governments are not bothered to provide barrier-free environment where a disabled person can move from one place to another without any difficulty leaving alone leading a reasonable life.

Being physically challenged I agree with you mam. Yes mam it's so grievous to go through the present situation in the society because of a so called officer. Still there are many Officers who are behaving so rude towards the most vulnerable community that is PWD in their respective departments.

No debate there.Smitha sabarwal just expressed her view. Is it a policy decision of the government ? Bala latha or any other person also can express his/her opinion.
Unnecessarily it was made an issue to become popular by certain vested interested people and media is fuelling it. You should be ashamed of yourselves. No one has imposed his/her thought on disabled and smitha sabarwal is just a bureaucrat. Decision making will be by the political executive and bureaucrats have to implement. She just expressed her opinion.
