I almost choked on my coffee when you excitedly yelled “butterfly” and then Douglas lunged out of nowhere to attack it🤣 That cat has great comedic timing!
It was so funny, I went back and watched it again! :)
Seriously so funny! He's a menace.
@@jilltibbetts3 He IS a menace. A Stray...never to be trusted.
Please....Laura Re-home him for the sake of your children and your other 2 cats.
To a home with no children or cats. He needs to be an 'only' cat.
Dennis...I mean Douglas... IS a Menace. A Stray...never to be trusted.
Please Laura > Re-home him for the sake of your children and your other 2 cats.
To a home with no children or cats. He needs to be an 'only' cat.
@@l.m.4014 oh dear........let the CAT LIVE his best life...... come on.....lol
I love that you just keep it real everyday and you’re covered in dirt! And scolding the kitties for chasing butterflies-lol this is my life too. Thank you for your daily inspiration and so excited to see your garden this spring and summer!❤
I love that all the cats made an appearance! Douglas was giving you love blinks ❤ right before he got snippy that you stopped petting him 😂
When Laura plays in the dirt, she glows.❤
💯‼️😀
Lets get real, this is the Douglas show. I’m always waiting for the cat portion of the episode lol. It’s my 2 favorite things, gardening and cats❤
DOUGLAS LEAVE BUTTERFLY ALONE 😂😂😂😂
Gosh, it feels good to see you planting again... in the sun ❤
I’m dying at Douglas he’s giving Lucifer from Cinderella energy ! He’s my favorite ❤ I watched that part 3 times lol
Love the kiddy cats joining in! Great ideas to cut plants , more for your buck! Thank you Laura
My Laura Edition auger arrived yesterday! I love it already! GAME CHANGER.
Hmmm ….. gotta look into that! 😊
Oh my goodness, I haven't laughed that hard with a garden video in a long time. Laura is in wonder over a butterfly and Douglas kills it! 😂 Wild Kingdom!
On today's episode of Wild Kingdom by Mutual of Omaha...
The first brave butterfly emerges from its chrysalis seeking the nectar of spring blooms, unaware of the danger it faces.
Felis silvestris catus, in his natural habitat, lies in wait... ready to strike, with its superior agility! 😂😂😂
You built it, and they have definitely come, Laura! 😂
I absolutely LOVE how the moss looks against the helllebores! Spectacular contrast! ❤
Laura smiles no matter if she is doing a spring cleanup or pruning fruit trees or actually planting spring flowers!
Today I learned a different and more efficient way to split plants …. Those felco pruners are like an extra hand
when Laura uses them !
Watching from Alberta, Canada ….currently -5 C and snowing … expecting 5-10 inches today 😂
😳😳😳
Congrats on the painting. You've said so many times over the years how you wanted it painted. It will be fresh air. God Bless Hope all the illness is over for long while.
So enjoyable to watch Laura planting in the glorious sunshine. Here in Ontario Canada we are under a snow squall warning and covered in snow 😢❄️🌧️. I know there are better days ahead and in a few “short” weeks I’ll be in the sun planting as well.
Coming from Ohio where the weather is gray, wet and dreary, I love your videos for a glimpse of sunshine almost as much as the content!😂😂 You wish for more rain in the summer and we wish for more sunshine. 😊alas ,every area has it's pros and cons.
Right! 😊
So happy for you that you are finally getting you house painted. We all put of some things to do other projects we want or need more. Everything you planted is going to really make a difference in your garden. I am so excited to see your garden wake up even more this year. I just love watching your enthusiasm. Have a blessed day everyone.
Today is 14 with the wind chill, snow on the ground and high winds. It seems like spring is so far away. Seeing you plant outside gives me hope that spring will arrive here soon! I use my 2” Laura auger to make holes for all of my hundreds of seedling starts. It is wonderful.
My cat use to do that and thought he was being mean. I figured out he was just trying to grab at me to not stop petting him 😂
That's what I was thinking too!
My dog does this too lol so I've wondered the same
EXACTLY…. he CANT say…”hey, don’t stop petting!”
A MEAN cat will be MEAN 99%. He just wants your attention & NOT to stop petting him!❤❤❤ DOUGLAS!!
Our neighbors' young cat was always 'attacking' as well. Turned out he just needed playtime. The bad behavior stopped when I spent more time letting him run after a toy on a rod and such.
My daughter (who’s 7) and I watch your videos everyday! Today she said, “I wish we had her weather!” Oh me too! We live in North Dakota and are currently waiting on another blizzard! Fingers crossed it’s the last one of the winter!
Me too - but I’m potting up my Dahlia tubers I overwintered. Need to see some green pop up.
We started our seedlings a couple weeks ago 🤭🫣 they’ll be nice and big by the time I plant them out 🤣
Do you mind if I ask when your last frost date is and when you start planting cool crops if you do a spring garden? I am trying to figure out some stuff like peas and brassicas but the going advice of 60 days before has failed so far and I think it is possibly because the channels are further south and winter is just different. We aren't in blizzard conditions right now, but it has snowed a bit 3 days this week.
@@GoingGreenMom my average last frost date is may 22. Every year is so different! I did winter sowing last year and put them out when I planted the rest of the garden (usually the 2nd to last week in may) so they had a head start and my cool crops did really good!
🤞🏻😊
Love your enthusiasm when you are planting! That never grows old. Thank you, it lifts my spirit to be in your garden and watch the progress.
Douglas is hilarious love him!❤
so jealous this morning.. we got a fresh coat of snow last night and our spring temps have turned back to winter for the next few days. just watching you plant things has made my morning. thank you and have a great day.
Same thing here for us😢 Quebec Canada
Same here. From Canada!
Ditto😕
-14 C 🥶 soooooo envious. It’s my fault for putting the shovel away and bringing my planters out 🤦♀️. Laura had me craving spring too soon lol
oh yes, me too........watching daily from Manitoba, CANADA......yes, that is NORTH of North Dakota.....I cannot wait to start creating.......just biding my time, plotting and planning........but why does Laura NOT mention the Bridal Wreath Spirea anymore??? I am perplexed??
I love Blue Star Creeper! When I moved into my home 7 years ago the front yard was a wasteland of mole hills. I tried to drive them away with various home remedies, not wanting to use poisons or traps as I had lots of neighborhood cats. I finally gave up, took the whole yard out & planted Blue Star Creeper to replace the yard, adding some each spring. It is so beautiful with it's tiny blooms. I walk on it frequently too & it never fazes it. I live in SW Oregon, the summers now & then get pretty hot & at first I lost some, when it gets into the 90s F I water it every day. There is also a dark blue creeper & a white so I've worked some of those in too. It also doesn't get high enough to give cover to snakes which was important to me.
Really ,happy for you getting your house painted. It just does something for you to have your house painted. 💚
Morning Everyone 💕
A blessed and good evening to all!
Thank you, you too!!!
Good to get the painting done before the plants get big for the season. The crocus is stunning.
How excited to get back out and having fun in the garden. 🪴
Douglas is so funny 😆
I know you have three cats, Douglas and Russell but we don’t see much of your other one. A happy home. 😮
Cheddar
@@michaelgray1123 thank you! 😊
Douglas was definitely the co star today.
Getting hands in the dirt feels so good!!
You have a great vision 👁️👁️ for placement 💐🌷🪷🌸🌲🌳🪴 love the colors 💮🌸🍃
I NEED to add some ground cover. Thank you for giving me some ideas. 🪻💚🙃
Douglas has attitude. I love that cat. I love Russel and Cheddar too.
I, too am a beautiful flower -Douglas🐾 💚🌸
It is so fun to watch you arrange all of these plants and flowers. I have to say it’s just a peaceful moment in my day to watch your videos.
One of the best things about garden answer is feeling like I am just a friend talking with Laura about what’s going on with the household and family in ADDITION to the wonderful things I learn about plants. So cool.
Oh wow! I would never think to split them. Learning more everyday! Nice video! Great music too. ❤
Good morning Laura! So happy for you. A new paint job will just shine and make your garden even more glorious! Hugs from N.C..❤
Glad you are finally getting the house painted, you have talked about it for a long while now. It will look great when done.
😂Douglas! Love his squirky little ways. He tries so hard to be nice, but then his old habit of swiping out kicks back in a second. Bless him!💜
This is definitely an area I need to improve on in my garden, thanks Laura!
Just a thought: in a perfect world you could rent your neighbors empty house move your furniture in and store a lot of it in their enormous garage and remodel your house! I know this is a gardening channel but I have a feeling that most everyone watching would LOVE to see your home being remodeled. You might even get an entire new audience of people that enjoy home remodeling videos! Btw I’m sure you don’t need my input or anyone else’s for that matter but I thought I’d join in on the fun!😊
I think the inside of Laura and Aaron's house is gorgeous from what I've seen !! That peek of the bedroom,( adding fresh flowers for the Grandparents) was a real treat !I bet the kids rooms are amazing 😮 Samantha Grace probably has a " princess -grace " inspired room ! Lol pun intended 😂 But thinking about it, Laura may be hesitant about putting anything private about the kids on you tube. I could understand that! From Georgia with love ❤
I think you’re right. Other gardening channels I follow are incorporating home renovation into their gardening videos.
Cannot believe how much you accomplished in this one video! Bring on spring!!
Your delivery of information is top notch. Always a pleasure to watch, and learn, your videos. Thanks Laura.❤
Odds and ends planting videos are my favorite!
Beautiful video showcasing Laura enthusiam, creativity, and as always, incredible productivity. I can't wait to see house wonderful the painted house will look. The more cats in these videos, the better.
I'm still cleaning beds so it was inspiring to see you plant, it looks good.😊
So jelly you can plant already. Tomorrow is my birthday, and we are forecasted to get 3-5 inches of snow.
Michigan weather, last week I was wearing shorts.
Laura, you do an amazing job at everything you do. You are so professional, informational, beautiful and fun! Such a hard worker! ☕️🌿🌷 Douglas!😂
Heads up! I love watching and learning from you. Ive noticed the sped up sections of some videos seem to be sped up even more recently and may not be as teachable for newer viewers. I understand the need to get through the repetitive parts and it’s ok, but now it may be at the expense of learning for some less experienced, wannabe gardeners. For one example, I knew Biotone was being spread but a new viewer may not have, and I know your desire is to keep us loyal viewers inspired as well as gain others through instruction. I often recommend your channel to others and I just don’t want the speeded up sections to be so fast that they don’t serve your purpose of also being instructive. If I’m feeling this way, there may be others and I only want the best for you and your viewers. Maybe take it down a notch to the prior speed. I appreciate you all. Continued blessings…
Dig hole, put plant in, cover roots with soil. It's not rocket science.
Really? OMGoodness!
And she mentioned in the beginning that she was using biotone, And a thousand other videos explaining that. I appreciate the sped up parts 💖
You do know that you can slow down a video? Perhaps that will help your frustration.
@GraceB-wp2xf I'm not sure why replies to your comment have to be so rude; I'm sure Laura and Aaron are quite capable of "defending" themselves if they feel offended by it, although I don't see why they would be. I've noticed myself recently that the sped-up parts have gotten SUPER sped up and have wished they'd slow them down JUST A TAD so I can see Laura actually do what she's just explained she's going to do so I can learn. Of course we all love their channel and appreciate everything they do! Peace to all!
Our lows are in the 20’s for a few nights this week with highs in the low forties. Had some snow flurries yesterday, at least no snow on the ground. We do have big buds on most of the blooming trees, hoping the freezing temperatures at night don’t kill the buds. The trees are too big to cover the buds. Next week looks better with highs in the 50’s and lows in the 30’s and 40’s. I live in Northern Indiana. Looking forward too warmer temperatures. Thanks for sharing Laura. I’ve been slowly adding ground covers in my garden too. I look forward to watching you work in the garden, while I have to wait a little while longer.
Thank you Laura and Aaron, for all the years of quality videos. ❤ I’ve learned so much.
Good morning! Wishing our weather would warm up a little. Cold and snow flurries for today. Those Hocus Crocus are just so pretty & my favorite colors for my garden.
I can’t wait to see your whole garden come alive!
Лорочка, ваши видео, хочется смотреть и смотреть. Жду с нетерпением новые видео🎉🎉🎉❤
GA is my daily morning “centering moment”. Such a grounding energy ❤❤❤
Your energy never ceases to amaze me! Makes me motivated to start the day!! Thank you. A great way to enjoy a coffee too!!
hooray for painting!! it will look so nice and fresh! and love the ground covers...pretty little plants that help so much with weed suppression.... what a nice day!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤❤
How many steps do you average per day? So happy you pulled the trigger on the paint job! You all are going to be so surprised how refreshed the house looks afterwards. Also, I thank the Lord for providing you & Aaron the means to afford a professional contracting team. It would take forever, if you DIY’d it. Thank you & Good editing job. 😊😊😊😊
Nice video 👍🏻. Lol that Douglas, he is a wildcard kitty!!
* Let's find Douglas a new home. Being Attacked in your own yard...is not funny.
> There are many.... of your subscribers that would give him a new home. (Please reach out to Laura to re-home Douglas)
I can't imagine going out into my yard to garden and never knowing when you (or the kids or your other cats) will be Attacked by a stray cat.
He will also be better off....as a 'Only' cat. (A home With no children)
Dude just stop. She's not getting rid of the cat. Your over reacting.
❤❤❤
My hubby built a mini greenhouse for seed starting.
I planted veggie 🥦🥕🌽 seeds coming up and starting my potatoes in 4 tarp like bags. So much fun🎉❤
That’s such a great tip. I’m not sure why I never thought to spilt up the plant before planting them. Thank you 🤗🍀
So cold here this morning! Windchill 17 degrees but we have sunshine!! Have a great day Laura!! Great video!!
Laura, you’re a beautiful gardener 👩🌾. Your passion, enthusiasm and beautiful smile 🤩🌱💚. Happy Spring
You in spired me to get a hand-held auger. Wow - how much easier all those little plantings are. My eldest son is a welder so when he asked what he could get for my birthday I handed pics of some supports, trellises and fancy stakes. I can even customize them now!
Good Morning! 🌷 I agree, I can't wait to get back out in my gardens! I am getting ideas! Your videos inspire me to new planting ideas! 😃🌿💚🌿
Question! Speaking of irrigation, I would love to see you plant more areas without drip - would you consider designing an area with more heat-tolerant plants and shrubs somewhere on your newer property? Maybe using natives or close relatives of native plants that you don’t have to supplement water? I think that would be such a fun experiment to see what thrives in your specific area!
I am always interested in seeing the differences in climate, ecology, and geology in new places, and how that changes which plants thrive 😊
oh I would like that too. Also, I would LOVE to see her plant some Rose Brambles, and teach us how to manage those, full grown, flowing in the wind Rose stems.........tall high climber stems, wafting in the wind. lol....... I mean, she has the ROOM.........right?? Teach us how to plant "ON THE WILD SIDE"...........too lol
Not too many of the plants we all grow thrive in high desert! DESERT!
I have a Dianthus ground cover that gets really beautiful pink flowers. I absolutely love it ❤️
I think I’ll be adding ground cover to the garden, and dividing up too! I’m so excited to see the progress of your house getting painted!🎉
Warmed my heart to see you planting again, Laura, after blizzards off and on all day yesterday.!🥶😱Wish we could get the plant tones in our stores in Ontario Canada! Many thanks to GA❤️
I live in the GTA. Was able to order and have delivered Plant Tone from Amazon. Expensive but happy to try. I am also working on wallmart as they show some of the tones available online. Again expensive .
Good morning, Laura. Douglas! 🦋🙈😂😂 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈🐈
Douglas saying keep loving on me, he adores you. ❤
Great video. You have your cat's trained so well. 😂❤ Douglas is super 🐈🐺
I'm so happy for you, you've wanted to paint your house for years.....
Glad finally got the schedule right for it❤️❤️❤️
Ground cover is the plant to add in my small garden.
Really interested in ground covers now, I can’t wait to see how it grows ☺️
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
The ground cover is so pretty I can’t wait to see it in summer and see the blooms on it . I am gardening thru you Laura. Im not sure that I’ll be able to garden in early spring because of my knee replacement, but I’m going to try my best to do so . I’m still going to go to nurseries to look at plants lol . Have a great day ❤🌸🌿🌼
Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery! Do those exercises!! Lol! I've had 2 replacements.
First planting video this season. Omgosh. Ive been waiting for this for sooo long. I get so many ideas and plant combinations and learn so much about plant care. Love it!
Oh my goodness, you always make everything look so easy 🫣😁. It is nice to see you are getting your house painted. You have spoken many times of having it painted. It will feel like a new home.
Love today’s music selections. They are on the GA brand. Natural.
You are a hard working gal!!!❤
Jealous here in the North 🥶 it’s been snowing for this past two days. This morning it was 21 degrees! Love the addition of those cute little plants. I was wondering if you have any videos from viewers for the inspiration garden series? I’m definitely craving it! Yay!! New paint!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who tosses her plants to their spots!!😊
Laura, your hair looks fabulous! Just love the color!❤
Why did I never think of splitting them when they were being freshly planted. I always thought you had to wait for them to be older/established. This is going to be a game changer for me this spring!!!
Beautiful perennials…. And………..we have a heavy snowfall storm right now.
In all these years you've never before said “we'll see you tomorrow”. I love this. Goodnight Garden Answers. See y'all tomorrow. Even tho here in rural Victoria, Australia, it's already tomorrow 😝
Laura, if you want more of the lungwort and you can't find them, how about dividing the ones you have? It's not ideal, but it is a solution.
My Mother used to call lungwort ‘boy and girl’ because they had both pink and blue blossoms at the same time!
I have a leather leaf type of lungwort that seems to want to just take over. It seeds itself and I have given many ‘babies’
away. Need to investigate that auger ! 😊
Douglas....he's so cute. Please give him extra cuddles for me.. thanks 😊
That beautiful chartreuse green with those deep burgandy helebores are going to be so beautiful when they fill in. Just gorgeous!!!!
I love seeing the cats as much as the flowers...lol
We have watched the Douglas clip over & over! Absolutely hilarious! The circle of life caught on camera!!!! 😂🦋😹
Love seeing you gingerly toss the plants into their places, I do the same thing lol Definitely am going to grab some 🍀Irish moss🍀 it does have such a FUN look and a nice bright green color!
Good morning from CT, we just had a chilly, frost and light snow covered morning today. Having my coffee and enjoy watching all the green you're sharing today❤
Coffee and a slow Saturday morning catching up on GA videos is the best❤ hopeful things warm soon here in Kansas City, MO
Thanks Laura for today oh my Hollie does that it’s a sign of attention or play freaks me out ha lol gotta love the pussycats 🥰😉 great video we are heading in our autumn you call fall 🌱 from Karen 🇦🇺🐨🦘
Got to visit Andrews Seed for the first time yesterday. What a beautiful nursery! Saw your mom and sister, but I didn’t want to be one of “those people”, so I didn’t say anything to them. I have enjoyed watching your channel. It’s nice to see what can be done in someone’s garden that lives in the same area that I live in.
Oh lil stinker Douglas! Lol ..love spring! Cant wait to see everything in its full glory! Beautiful day! We're headed for rain Fri..we went from high 70s-85!! Now we're going to freeze tmrw! High of 57...lol my poor plants are going to be confused! Lol 🥶☔️🦋🐝🌸🥰🌻☔️🥳💖🦋🌻
Got to love groundcovers! And that lotus flower chick charm is so beautiful! I took my dog to the park yesterday here in the Midwest and I saw our first butterflies, too, two of them! Yea!!! Happy gardening!
thank you for the great ideas for groundcover....i was struggling for some great groundcover ideas and these look fun + fantastic! Ashamed to say but separating one plant into 4 was something I had never even considered or known was doable until this! ☀☀☀☀☀☀
