really impressed with your review, I think I have been waiting a long time for this guitar to appear, cannot wait to get my hands on one of these, I will probably go for the parlour one
If a cutaway detracts from the unplugged sound then I don't think it's worth it. You can always transpose any beyond the 12-15th fret fretting/solo play further down the fret board anyway. Sounds better.
I’ve watched several demos and - to me - none really sound like an acoustic guitar (whereas the Acoustasonics truly do.) Yes, you can hear the hollowness of the body, but there’s no richness or depth of an acoustic.
We'd say the point is to be as simple and streamlined as possible, they've done an incredible job with the Fishman Fluence pickup, nice detailed sound, plenty of bottom end and attack - all qualities magnetic pickups usually struggle with.
Magnetic pickup struggles with bottom end? The main reason to install magnetic pickup in acoustic guitar is to add bottom end beacuse standard electrouacoustic guitars lack of it. But thats not the point, fishman is fine. The problem is there's no benefit of acoustic properties when you have only magnetic pickup so you get an instrument that sounds like a cheap walmart guitar with a magnetic pickup for 1000$. I don't see any reason why they couldn't put a piezo there for a few bucks and blend knob only a greed.
Think Gibson J160e acoustic with electric P90 pickup? This pickup probably sounds much better in a smaller package...wish they came in sunburst. My thoughts.
What difference does it make? It’s not like Fender discontinued anything in order to add this to the lineup. If it’s not for you then it’s not for you. That doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else.
I've heard a few reviews and this one sounds, to me, the best sonically of these two.
You should watch the guitar center review

Thanks! They're very impressive, hope you enjoy it!
Nice video Phil! U da man!
Cheers Luke! Phil's a legend and will be back on our channel soon 😀
I'm really surprised I'm not seeing a cutaway option.
It's the first two guitars of this new series, could very well be a cutaway version planned
I think they're working on that. This went the opposite way of the Acoustasonic, where the pricy one came first.

I would like to see a nylon string Tele
With the G-Tour Godin gave us a nylon Strat...
captador é passivo ou ativo?
Could you tell us which you preferred? The different scale lengths threw me into limbo a bit.
Phil really liked the smaller Parlor model, but depends on your playing style, the dreadnought shines with bigger, harder strumming.

Go to a shop that has them and play them. I did today and I was pleasantly surprised. Much better in person than in any of the videos.
They sound thin and plasticky. I love Fender but they’ve always had a shaky footing with acoustics
This is a highway parlor model guitar?
I think there's enough acoustic and electric guitars out there to satisfy sound preferences.
Why there's no piezo pickup installed? What's the point of making "acoustic" instrument with only magnetic one?

Should have a tele headstock….it would look better.
Change it, its a bolt on.
Sounds like a jazz guitar
An ill-conceived and lousy entry into whatever market this is. Fender should just stick with what they do best and this clearly ain't it.
