    Intermittent fasting has helped me SO much with cutting out late night snacking. So happy I've found this tool! I don't eat past 8, and it's a hard rule for me. This mental switch combined with a satiating dinner has contributed to reaching my weightloss goals! Thanks Autumn, love your channel!

    I learn so much when I watch your videos. I also appreciate that the video is short and direct, as I find I understand and retain more of the info that way. My current biggest struggle is that I hate to cook. I'd rather have a root canal without novocaine than to cook. I try to make myself, but I can only keep that up for so long. There are only so many things that require minimal prep/cooking and I find I eat less healthily because of it. Eating out daily is not an option. Do you have any suggestions for a person like me?

    • @AutumnBates

      @@AutumnBates As for produce- we eat boring salads like spinach and some sort of keto dressing and a couple cherry tomatos, maybe a boiled egg, or prepared foods like frozen falafel, canned soups, frozen vegs (usually just broc, cauli, or brussels), or frozen entrees (try to get as healthy as possible, but none of them are really).

    This is such a great breakdown to the big question I've been having for months: "Why do I feel stuffed but not fueled?" I've been struggling with what I think could be persistent low blood sugar. I'm a fairly athletic person and love being active, but in the last 6 months I've lost all of the fitness and strength I worked for years to get :( All because I stopped feeling fueled enough for my workouts no matter what I ate. I'm been trying to improve my eating patterns, but this issue hasn't gotten fixed yet. I do like how specific your tips are and I'm going to implement them. It's hard because there's SO much contradicting information out there. But you do have the degrees and experience so I'd say you're a much more reliable source :)

      Beans, Lentils, nuts, seeds, hummus, tahini, nut butter, ORGANIC soy milk, ORGANIC firm tofu (firm tofu has more protein than soft tofu), tempeh , nutritional yeast, high percentage of high quality dark chocolate, unsweetened plant-based yogurt, If you're fine with gluten, you could try "seitan" and Ezekiel bread; different types of mushroom( FYI:king oyster has meaty texture). Hope you give some of these a try and find ones you enjoy!:)

    I am struggling with that protein math rn 😂. I weigh 191lbs.. divide that by 2.2 and got 86.8...so does that 86.8 the rough estimate of how much protein a day I should go for???? I am doing a weight loss thing, started to be all about eating healthier. I do love bulletproof coffee 😍.

    • @KlausECD
      @KlausECD 3 роки тому +2

      That's to convert weight in pounds to kg.
      Then multiply weight in kg by 1.4 to get grams/day of protein (121g/day).
      8:35 mark or so in the video.
      ONE way to estimate.
      I think .6 times weight in pounds gets one close (what I tend to use, although still challenged hitting that goal)

    You’ve mentioned that starches and grains could have a major impact on the insulin.. I thought that grains and complexed carbs is the main carb source that were supposed to eat for that satiating feel. As it’s also a source of fibre-that doesn’t raise blood sugar levels that high.. I’m a little confused

      I had the same problem before i started IF a month ago. Of what i read until know about it, your insuline is to high. Eat slower or eat a salad/vegetable first . And your protein after, keep your insuline low. It helped with me. No cravings after 2 weeks to my suprise. It is going great, i hope keep on feeling this way. Have a long way to go

So I’ve been trying to find brands that actually are healthy alternatives. Have you heard of or eaten the Kirkland signature protein bars from costco? I used to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks between meals and the snacks were within my diet so it wasn't "added" to my everyday daily calorie intake but then when I started IF I started eating breakfast lunch then a post workout snack (skipping dinner and one of my snacks but still the same amount of calorie intake because my meals became bigger) I was losing weight just fine however I'm not sure if it's fat loss and back then I didn't really understand much about insulin but now that I do I think it might be better following a three meal structure, however sometimes I feel like having some snacks probably due to the fact that I was already used to having snacks on a daily bases and I'm wondering if there is anything I can eat between meals that won't spike my insulin? or will my insulin spike and stop my body from using fats as energy every time I eat anything?

    I am currently on weight watchers and also doing intermittent fasting. I’m a little worried to let go of weight watchers and just do intermittent fasting with just healthy eating. WW keeps me in a certain amount of calories, but I feel like my body needs more fat because I am an endomorph (I believe) and I am having such a hard time understanding how much of each food group I need and how to not overeat. Also , I am a breast cancer survivor and need to take a daily maintenance pill that blocks estrogen which then in turn is making me insulin resistant, I believe. Can you please help me understand what I need to do. I love your protein shakes and coffees, but on WW they are so high in points that I cant really fit them into my points system everyday. TIA

    I thought your protocol was to have more carbs at dinner time?

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  4 роки тому +2

      The quality of the carbohydrate used at dinner time is one of the main concerns when incorporating carbohydrates at dinner. For example, butternut squash or lentils will have a much different response on blood glucose levels and insulin vs. refined breads and pasta. This will also depend on the individual's carbohydrate sensitivity, which is something I break down and adjust for in the Advanced Weight Loss Protocols in the Bundle.
