      Thanks Mike, I'm not redissolving the powder because of the refining route I've chosen, namely: inquartation with silver, digestion in nitric acid (removing Pd, Ag and some Pt), residue dissolution in AR, followed by precipitation with oxalic acid. I'll make a video on the full refining process.

      @OwlTech333  6 років тому +1

      Amateur - you got this right (never claimed the opposite), the "little science lab" (flattering, unless I failed to see the hidden irony) is a simple DIY fume hood which serves its purpose : namely carrying away the last traces of fumes (reduced to a minimum beforehand by the process employed). Ever crossed your mind you don't see gloves because they are invisible ?(google: wet work barrier cream, invisible gloves, gloves in a bottle and so on) I DOUBT it! :)

      I understand Your frustration, but this is not a "HOW TO" video. This a gold yield review on specific type of scrap. If need specific information regarding specific process, www.goldrefiningforum.com is the place to go. Most of the knowledge I possess was obtained there. I'm not a chemist. and if I can do it so can you. Word of advise if I may: there are no shortcuts and one size does not fit them all... Every reaction is unique due to the enormous number of variables involved.

      You will have a hard time getting specifics from anyone I'm a member of some dedicated forums to recovery's and scrapping people tend to guide you to literature and things first cautioning you to read through multiple times as people don't want to say do this and you do but a variable be off and an accident happens they don't want that on there conscience is what I've found also EVERY batch is different I may say I got x amount per x amount and i perhaps have but I'll never recreate that exact batch Never best to go with baseline numbers and when you get a great batch consider yourself blessed and be ready to be called a liar by those who dont know there butt from a hole in the ground hope that helps explain why I think it is this way be safe and blessed happy scrapping!
