Asalam alikoum, I’ve never felt so compelled to leave a comment on any video but I feel I have to on this. This is one of the most amazing interviews I have ever listened to where I truly felt validated as a Muslim mother. Abirs advice and tips are practical in such a supportive and humble way MashAllah. JazakAllah khair for this episode. May Allah SWT allow us all to experience the beauty of the Quran in our lives

This is so beautiful. I had started reading Qur'an over a year ago, consistently. I decided to read from cover to cover and when I finish to start again. The purpose is to always read. But I've been taking my time. I have three young children, one is still a baby. So I find the time in between, or while nursing, to read and think over the verses. This podcast, really makes me feel as though I am on the right track, especially because I decided I would not rush myself even during the month of Ramadhan. I want understanding and to improve myself, and that takes time. Literally. Once I could only read about two verses and then I was thinking about them and that took half and hour.

I really didn't understand the intro. If there is a 'title' that should be in service to people it's the doctor/physician. Doctor of medicine isn't a doctor in philosophy or pop singer. It's healing people by teaching them how to heal themselves.
You got trapped in your false modesty.
Imagine being a doctor whose family praises but their patients curse.
Do you even know what you were talking about?!

Love this. I started reading 1-2 pages a day if I can and to understand I read Arabic then English translation. It’s been so helpful but this has been so beautiful because I never distinguished the difference between reflecting and explanation. Tadabor and Tafseer. Thank you for sharing your journey!

salam aleykum. This is incredible! truly! thank you sister Abir for your insightful and very clear conversation with brother Jaafar. It's also very helpful that this conversation is moderated by our brother and inshallah more brothers take note of these topics as it's not solely for women. May Allah swt bless you both. ameen

Salam Jafar, I could watch Joe Rogan or some other podcast, but here I am during the month of Ramadhan listening to Sister Abir.
Thank you for bringing these gems on your podcast. It's refreshing! You bring great members of the community, without the gossip, drama, and the nasty fitna that is infested in the community.
God bless and reward the both of you.

Joe Rogan is trash. He has no morals or respect for women. He objectifies them and therefore is values and actions are the opposite of Islamic teachings. Obviously, he's not muslim. Taking world views from someone who has no morality is just going to brainwash you into thinking like him. The ahlulbayt have taught us that whatever we consume (hear, eat, watch, etc) affects our heart/spirituality.

Don't you see dear fellow human being how ironic it is to tell a muslim, who usually reads and studies the Quran, that he should seek the advice of non-muslims to find out the truth of Quran?
