that is what happened when you have "business partners". but look at mcleran racing team without him. (he handed the team management over to whitemarsh a long time ago) then the "shareholders" squeezed him out when he failed to raise enough money to buy them out..... money from the middleeast are always from the "sovereign" fund (aka oil money) no private investment can compete with that.

This was during a session of course, but the pit channel of F1 digital+ was kind of funny since they didn't even stop broadcasting between FP3 and FP4 and in one case for example you could see & hear Briatore chatting with his then girlfriend Naomi Campbell. You really got a feeling of being there in the paddock.

DrewMongo it would have been a huge mistake if Schumacher joined mclaren. He was smart enough to see that they were struggling, and how quickly senna jumped ship to Williams.
Schumacher was in a law-suit with Mercedes-Benz at the time, so bringing it all together in 1995 would've been very difficult to say the least.
What is even more weird is ron telling him to be careful when he reaches the limit. These illuminatti bastards were probably planing on killing drivers and senna and the other guy died.

Well he finally got the much deserved knighthood. He has his critics, but back in 2007 when the team were excluded from the constructors' championship, which they would have won, the mechanics made him a replical of the trophy. They obviously thought a lot of him.

@@davideaccorsi5637 I believe this was winter 92-93 when Senna did not sign till the 11th hour (he did a CART test in USA with Emerson Fittipaldi) just before the start of the 93 season and Senna ended up getting a 1 million per race contract from Ron cuz obviously he was desperate to hang on to him

How prophetic Ron's words were to Schumacher, and that was in more ways than one. Sad fact is Schumacher was not too careful and it cost him his life and somewhat his reputation.

I think he was referring to the reputation that Michael developed over his career as being a terrible sportsman when things don't go his way. His legacy is his stats, not his driving unfortunately. When you compare him to Senna or Prost or Fangio, his legacy remains one of several incidents that has left a bad taste in the mouth of people who watched the sport when he was driving. He was a phenomenal talent and showed it in 2006 IMO, but he never had a season where he won while having inferior machinery. In that sense Ron was correct, that he could be remembered for all the bad reasons even though he was a phenomenal talent.

I really don't know what Ron brings to anything! I always found him to speak like he is in the witness box. Then when he speaks about McLaren you somehow find yourself falling asleep. It takes a special someone who can make the greatest team in F1 sound so dull. He obviously has some skills no doubt but God knows what there are! Maybe the team would do better if they actually knew what the hell he did that made them so successful.

Mercedes then gave Niki permission to ask Lewis if he would consider driving for Mercedes. He told Lewis he could win one more title with Mclaren, or many more with Mercedes, and he'd be the first to do it in a Mercedes.
