- The Owl House Season 3 Episode 2 For the Future has officially released! Emphasis on OFFICIALLY since it was sadly leaked a while back. I promised I wouldn't release anything on the episode until it was out on the actual Disney Channel UA-cam account, and now that it's in the public eye, it's time to do a top 10 of sorts where I mention all the major highlights, give a general review and a bit of a theory and analysis on how Watching and Dreaming might pan out! Let's see the collector and King be best buddies, Luz finally get her Palisman, Willow Gus and Hunter form an unstoppable threesome (with Huntlow fuel of course) , Puppet Raine, Belos hallucinations, short redhead Lilith, Flash Hunter and Hooty as a jack in the box! There's a lot to discuss before Season 2 Episode 3 so let's get down to it! Also yes, a like and a comment would be greatly appreciated. ^^
P.S. I'm thinking of doing a full review of The Owl House Season 3, including Thanks to them, For the Future and Watching and Dreaming, at some point once they all air, but we'll see if people want that. X)

I hope that String Bean defends her owner Luz and the others from the Collector in the beginning of the ultimate new game, also i hope the Collector does not manage our heroes into puppets in the third special will come that in 8 april

This episode was such a roller-coaster of emotion and action. The palismen hatching scene is amazing and so relatable. I said Dana and the team wouldn't dissapoint, and they TRUELY DIDNT!!!
i literally screamed out loud when willow and hunter held hands and had to go back multiple times, I wish this episode was longer because there were so many key moments that defiantly didn't have enough screen time or explanation. I cant wait for the next episode, but at the same time I'm so so scared to watch it

While it is a shame that the show got shortened, I feel that Dana and the crew were luckily able to rework things enough to create a solid story (they found out early on in Season 2's development, I think when Eda's Requiem started production). The season 2 we did get was incredible, I adore the Collector who we wouldn't have got without the cut, and despite cramming most of their planned plot beats into Season 2 to have Season 3 focus on the new Collector plot, I really love how the show is turning out. Thanks to Them and For the Future are fantastic, and I can't wait for Watching and Dreaming!

I’m just hoping they do something like show Belos his worst memory to defeat him because of my bed, and if they did something like crash in bloom crash in boom up with their staff magic, that wouldn’t make any sense and now I feel way too rushed.
This EP truely had me going with my emotions, i was happy, (seeing mama Eda, Lilith, and Viney who is my favorite side character again), sad, (Willow repressing her feelings as well as hunters), had some laughs (when Gus and Willow was scared that Luz got her staff, and the credits of eda doing a terrible job at cutting lilith's hair) and despair of knowing the inevitable end of this show is one episode away.....still wish they had whatever needed to have more episodes. overall i love it
Luz emotionally connecting with Stringbean was my favorite part of the episode. It was sweet, interesting, and worth the wait. I was disappointed that Luz didn't get to reunite with at least Eda but I'm still certain that we'll see this bittersweet moment in the series finale.
Remember how much damage Luz's Palisman caused when it was just a glowing orb?
Something tells me that not only will this hint to Stringbean being a pretty powerful critter, this may (in some form) lead to Luz becoming the most powerful witch on the Isles (just like Mama Eda.)
On the matter of what will happen in the end...I'm right there with you, Finn about the visiting between realms thing. Plus, if you remember correctly; Hooty DID take a sample of King's blood back in Hooty's Door (and it looked pretty big.)
That should be more than enough to make a new portal key and door

This episode showed Belos, Odalia, and Terra in pain, which makes it immediately great in my book 😂
How did you manage to script, prepare, edit and animate, and publish this video so soon? I loved it. And I loved the episode to bits: the excitement, the humor, the colors, the music, the designs, the lore, the story as a whole... If anything, I think the team behind TOH wanted to have more time to develop a few things and to better work the pacing of a couple of scenes, but they did a phenomenal job.
My favorite points about this episode:
- The lines "-Although Hooty might eat it. -King might too. -Eda might three." cracked me up.
- Luz's palisman design. Adorable and cute. Maybe inspired in a pokemon? I don't mind. Alive or as part of the staff, I loved its design. And the name of the species, a "snakeshifter"! OMG, the pun is sooo on point!
- Camila's "You really beamed us up, eh, Bailey?". In that sentence she opened her past to her daughter's friends, she acknowledged Hunter's and Gus's hobby, and boosted their morale even more.
- Willow sharing a moment with Hunter. And i don't mean THAT moment, but the one in the cave before they bust out of danger.
- The Collector asking King to let him have François, and respecting the fact that King didn't want to share him (yet). I agree, he's not really evil, just misguided.
- Raine. Hearing them speak brought me joy this episode.
- "-Luz has a staff! -Why does that make me nervous?" I'm with you, guys. I'm with you. And yet... I LOVE IT!!!
- Mattholomule being a decent leader... And Gus freaking, and admitting he had doubts, about it.
- Eda's banter about Lilith's potion. It goes to show how capable Lilith is, even without magic.
- Luz's revelation of what she needed to hatch her palisman.
- Bump's statue. Radical! And deserved!
- Willow's "We will all feel better when we punch Belos right through the face. And yes, I mean through the face". Couldn't have said it better.
- The scene with Amity finding slime and controlling it just as they entered the realm. She looked like the cover of a Good witch Azura's book to me.
Also... The foreshadowing. I don't know if I should put a warning or not, but at this moment anyone reading this should have already seen the episode two or three times like me, so:
- King saying that playing pretend could still have consequences, and he's been playing pretend with The Collector.
- King using words like "stop" and "permanent solution" but commenting he can relate. I'm sure his solution will be something akin to what he had: the realization that he didn't want to be above everyone else, but to live WITH everyone else. I can see The Collector going the same route. I wish to see that. I just hope The Collector doesn't take King's words the wrong way.
- The golden figure in the In-Between looked like a winged titan, just like King's supposed father was depicted in that episode. Maybe this time he's the real thing? Or maybe he is that same guy looking to mend things with King. I can only hope.

Luz's palisman is pretty creative, the main form is a Snake but it can change forms at will, it would be cool if each form gave Luz and String a different power.
Like, the Snake is the balanced form, the Bat is the speed form, the Dragon is the strenght form, and the Scorpion could be the Berserker form, something akin to the Heartless Form in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Huh, so Episode 2 is finally out, a truly interesting Episode, it felt like it was all about preparation, I will look forward to see how things will go from here.
Kind of wish we could’ve seen Kikimora as more of an ally in some way, but oh well, who knows maybe she still can get a chance in Episode 3,
It does seem like Boscha is gonna have something good go for her, will be interesting to see how that goes.

Actually, I have had a thought about The Collector ending up as some kind of Adoptive Child for Lumity, what do you think? I kind of hope for something like that to be the case, but I don’t really think it’s likely, I guess we’ll see.
I doubt the collector is gonna get adopted I think belos is gonna possess them and use their powers in a last ditch attempt to destroy the demon realm and use said powers to reshape Earth in his image

I kind of find it interesting how much parallels we can draw between The Collector and Luz, leading me to believe that they'll get similar arcs.
- Both are hated and ostracized because of their "weirdness" that nobody can seem to tolerate or understand.
- They're outsiders of their own people (Luz being an outsider to humans, The Collector not jiving with the other Collectors as revealed in his book).
- They're childlike.
- Both are frequently misunderstood and often misunderstand others.
I kind of find it clever that Luz is setup to be this weirdo that no one likes because of her weirdness, but, in a clever role reversal, she projected that same type of unease and discomfort on her onto The Collector when she had her first encounter with him.

I thought this episode was fantastic and great middle chapter for the finale. Yes, I can understand some people might be disappointed that we have to wait until Warching and Dreaming to not only see the long awaited reunion between Luz, Eda, and King but also for the long awaited meeting for Camila being introduced to Eda and King.
Oh, and Luz better call King her little brother by the time they reunite.

i feel that collector is gonna go emotional
My only big complaint about this episode was that I feel like they kinda wasted the secondary antagonists.
1) Kiki not having learned anything after her humbling in Kings Tide is both boring and predicable. After being the hate sink and butt of jokes for 2 seasons, I was kinda hoping for a little character growth. Nothing major, like having her be the one to look after the kids in the school after all the other adults were taken.
2) I like Boscha's desperation to "get Amity back in her life" (and all that implies), but it feels out of place in a finally. If they wanted to wrap up this plot line, it should have been done in an earlier episode. I would have put this plot line in place of the Lumity solo adventure when they were looking of the author of Azura. As dun as it was, it didn't really add much other than filler.
3) Odalia. I already hate what they did to Odalia. Turning her from a ruthless business woman and one half of a bad parent duo, into gullible hate sink who would assist in genocide for a ludicrous promise of being made royalty from a witch hunter. They had a perfect opportunity to make Odalios (combinding Belos with a powerful and manipulative master of ORICLE magic). With this new form, Odalios could have taken the role of the Collectors mother new mother figure as a sort of twisted reflection of Eda. But no, Odalia shale remain the hate sink butt monkey so that Alador can be utterly forgiven and cleansed of his abusive parenting.
I love the little references to the fan base.
I'm not sure if you caught it and I forgot what scene it was but Amity mentioned a student council and I would love to know if that was a reference to Little Miss Perfect 💕💕💕

My theory is that we may not even need King's blood to create portals. We know that Titans have very potent magic and just their blood can create leaks between realms. Furthermore, we saw the one Titan Finger create a giant portal in the sky with to Titan Trapper Island and back. So there right be a chance that King will be able to create portals between realms on his own. That would be awesome (and the better option than being a blood donated for interdimensional travel).

I want there to be a huge spontaneous fight scene between Amity and that human-size chicken from Family Guy.
I watched the episode and was reminded of what you said in top 3 best & worst episodes of S1. How luz using fireworks and snakes in school is dangerous. Well basically, they said it's fine in this episode. When Camila talks to Luz, she says "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me". The thing is.... LUZ DIDNT NEED CAMILA. She was setting off fireworks and live snakes in school. Her going to reality camp was needed so that Luz could learn that what she did was not okay. But Camila basically tells her "oh its okay that you endangered lives" it just baffles me why they wrote Camila and Luz like this. No teenager would bring live snakes and fireworks to school. It's stupid and dangerous. Anne in amphibia was written a lot better than Luz was. Sure, she did crazy stuff in school, but nothing that would endanger lives. Anne learned to stand up for herself and mature as a character through amphibia. But in for the future it feels like Luz's character development is shot in the face. Dana and the team are telling kids it's okay to endanger kids because your mom will always support you and that's a terrible message. I like a lot of other aspects of the show, but this part just pisses me off. Please anyone, if you can defend Luz's character or give me some counter argument, please post it in the comments. I hate hating this aspect of the show, so please help me out. Thanks for reading
I enjoyed everything about this episode ^^ Luz's realisation to be understood was satisfying and relatable leading to her hatching her adorable palisman Stringbean ^^ The moments between Hunter and Willow was full of emotion as well as Camilla and Luz's moments and Camilla still being awesome ^^ And the fight scenes were awesome ^^ I'm hoping the Collector can be reached out by the cast and help defeat Belos once and for all ^^ I'm looking forward to the series finale ^^ Great video as always ^^
This is truly one of the shows of all time
I thought boscha and Kiki should not have been in the episode. We quite literally don’t have time for them, and it seems bizarre to dedicate what could be considered the a plot of the episode to 2 unlikable side characters. I think they did this to have a conflict while keeping belos and the collector separate from the main gang, which does have its advantages, but it also meant that we get less screen time for more interesting characters, and the main conflict of the episode itself being essentially a petty fight. So ig my main complaint for the episode is that the collector isn’t taken seriously by the people around him. For example, terra straight up disrespects the collector despite knowing he’s a godlike being who could end or enslave her at any moment. Also wanted more collector lore, but I’ll take what I can get.

I have to agree on those you mentioned also I’ve a feeling the collector will get the discord treatment maybe but who knows. Plus I support willow x hunter along with eda x rain both pairs are the best🥰. Hope to see more in the future 🌸✨
Ngl, I was kinda underwhelmed by this episode.
It was a bit cluttered to say the least. They should definitely have dropped Kikimora from the story. I am one of those who actually enjoyed Kiki, but her arc was over, when she was utterly rejected by Belos and took her last bit of petty revenge by helping King free The Collector - she didn't need to be in this. Instead they could have focused more on Bosha, who still had an unresolved arc. This episode is the most interesting Bosha has ever been. Her toxic crush on Amity actually makes a lot of narrative sense and could easily have carried that part of the episode.
And I'm just gonna say it: I don't really like what they did with Luz's palisman. The design is not really that great, and having a shapeshifting Palisman just feels like a cop-out, like they couldn't really commit to one design and one symbolic meaning. Saying that shapeshifting represents Luz's slightly scatterbrained approach to her interests doesn't sit right with me. Luz is not really a shapeshifter, while her trauma combined with regular teen angst has made her outlook more grim and sad, she's really a very consistent character and deserved to have a committed design for her palisman.
And lastly, I simply don't think the episode went hard enough with this apocalyptic scenario. It's all too safe and cuddly. The Collector's insane games and turning everyone into toys while slightly unnerving also seems very PG and totally reversible. A little kid with cosmic powers should have a body count by now. And while Belos is still gross AF, they didn't really do anything new and interesting with him other than cementing the idea, that he struggles mentally with what he did to Caleb (but apparently he has no qualms with having almost succeeded in committing genocide, so F him) He could really have used a gross new design or a more diabolical plan than simply turning The Collector against King.
That's not to say, that this was a bad episode, it did advance the plot a bit and there was plenty to enjoy along the way:
Willow's arc was strong, and everything having to do with her, Hunter and Gus was great.
Bosha's tyrannical reign at Hexide and her crush on Amity was pretty interesting and could have been expanded on, if they had cut Kikimora.
Camilla was awesome in every scene. She's such a force for good.
King and The Collector's relationship was nicely handled, but could have been a lot darker in tone.
I really hope, that they go all-in with the gross, dark, twisted, angsty and tragic stuff in the finale.

4:53 I feel like people keep thinking that King would still have to keep him in check, or everyone else would still have to do that by the end of this, if everything goes well, and they think that he would be the same. Which the whole point of this, is that I think he's going to mature, that's the journey he's going on, I think his story in the third episode is that he would grow into a different version of himself, literly like Luz's story through these 3 seasons, she was naive at the start, projecting her fantasy to the boiling isles because it wasn't the fantasy world she dreamed of, does that sound familiar? But she grew and matured when she let the world be what it was and learned to enjoy it and put her own flair to it, and now, you wouldn't recognize Luz as she is now from her season 1 self, though she had depressing moments, it shows that one thing she still has from herself, even if she's changed, is that, she still knows how to have fun and be happy and dorky like she always was, she didn't have to lose that just because of maturing. The collector would still be himself of course and want to have fun, but he'll learn how to do that in a way that wouldn't make everyone else depressed or sad, and learn how everyone else wants to have fun aswell. And he would also learn how to keep HIMSELF in check and keep his powers under control, learn how to control his anger (well not control just learn how to be more calm for his own benefit aswell as everyone else)
The collector being a God makes him different than everyone else in a high way, that sometimes has bad things that come back at him because of it, like everyone being a little scared of him, just like Luz with her being a human, but it doesn't mean he can't enjoy everyone's company and make everyone feel safe around him by the end of this.
Belos does not have a curse, he turns into that gooey monster because of all the palisman he has consumed. I just wanna say this because you said that consuming palisman can counteract curses..
I think belos can turn to that goop version of himself because of all the glyphs drawn on him
And we saw that you can activate glyphs using staffs since we saw Luz do that
So I think absorbing the palisman magic lets belos use magic without a staff and without drawing any glyphs and lets him control his goop form

This dude realizes that Caleb and Philip were brothers right. Keep hearing "friend" and "buddy" , they were brothers 😭 it's been stated in the first episode of season 3 during the hayride story.

It was such an emotional episode all the way through. I can only imagine how they’re gonna end it all in the final episode.
I get the feeling that the fans will expand on the story in ways that Disney might be afraid to go into.

Wonder when the review for “Watching and Dreaming” comes out
This was a great episode, with a good mix of funny gags, emotional moments, and necessary exposition to build up to the finale. My only real criticism would be that the pacing clips along a little too fast. It's understandable because Dana's original vision for these events was probably supposed to take place over 3-4 episodes, but instead they had to cram all their ideas into 45 minutes because, y'know. I really think Dana and the team are doing an incredible job of telling the story they wanted to tell within the new time constraints.

Hey all you hardcore wonder Over Yonder fans out there, you guys should make Wonder Over Yonder! Y'all In For An Straight-Up Fun-nomenally Intergalactic Experience To Behold!. Basically, it's the exact same Disney TV show we all know and love SOOOOOOOO much, but it's EVEN BETTER-to-FUN-NOMENALLY IMPRESSIVE EVEN BETTER than anyone, let alone any hardcore-est hardcore Wonder Over Yonder fans out there (that includes you too, FinnThePony), could possibly ever imagine in recent times, period! This series also has, easily hands down, one of the best, if not, THE top-tier best Walt Disney Animation Studios-indescribably Disney fun-nomenal 2D animation the world has ever witness, fan-made projects or otherwise, period!

Sorry, but I can't be impressed by "kiss my grass", or any other saying that replaces ass with grass, because 4Kids did it first in What Kind Of Pokemon Are You? "Make one wrong move, and it'll kick your grass." At least that one actually related to grass.
I enjoy episode 2 it amazing and awesome and Can't wait for the last episode of the owl house! But seeing luz palisman was very cool but i'm wish there was more but a three parts is actually cool also.

Pretty neat. Definitely could be more crazy/apocalyptic but it seems they toned it down a bit
What if The Collector turned everyone on the Boiling Isles into various types of toys as well as the cute action figures? Like, just the humour potential of them wanting to turn Luz into a candlestick and Amity into a clock. Or whatever Witch gets turned into an accordion (probably either Hooty or Harvey Park) or an Operation board game (Collector totally wanted to do that to Camila) or a watering can (Willow) or a mirror (most likely Gus and/or Perry) or a cymbal monkey (definitely Alador).
