YES my absolute favorite. I'm a sucker for lore, not to mention the loads of angst. & I like how it didn't have everything spelled out for us; we got to connect the dots on our own.
Honestly, I find Labyrinth Runners the best episode of the season. We get Wilow development, Hunter development, Gus development, Bump being a good teacher, and most important Severine. You go girl. There no reason to take that abuse.
The fact that the main cast are absent mostly giving Gus and Willow the main character status other than Luz. Really tells us this is no doubt a perfect episode with each character to reccuring to minor have moments or two to shine.
Dana please- Dana we can't take anymore of this We've been in emotional agony since Reaching Out and Hollow Mind We're still traumatized from Amphibia Dana spare us
I wasn’t a huge fan of season 1, but season 2 really won me over. It’s too bad the show only has 3 more specials (practically 6 episodes) before it’s over.
I honestly like both! S1 set up the characters, got us attached, S2 then brought down the pain and plot..it would of been less dramatic of a switch if they had more episodes they were allowed to make (and they would of incorporated more plot points, but couldn't so it may feel a tad rushed at times with many plots going on at once just to get things in). It kinda gave me everything I love in a show; the cute silly moments along with serious plot, world building, character development, and it bringing out emotions.
Honestly, Knock Knock Knocking On Hootys Door is not only my favorite episode of Season 2, but also my favorite episode in the entire series. This episodes represents EVERYTHING i love about The Owl House. From the comedy, to the adorable relationship, to the mystery to such a tragedy. This episode has EVERYTHING. King having one step forward to find his identity was so well done because it's not a immediate conclusion, but at least it has something that will satisfy him. Eda's dream is one of if not my favorite dream sequence in cartoon history (it's either that or the entirety of In Dreams from SUF). It's trippy, yet so clear and answered so many questions that will have conclusion later on. And the scene where Eda finally accepts The Owl Beast as a part of her is absolutely beautiful (just like her Harpie Form). And there's Luz's which is probably my favorite Lumity moment. I love how they're so awkward around each others even when they confess their feelings and became girlfriends. The tunnel of love is such a brilliantly funny plan from Hooty and the whole Edas line "Then do it" i just love how straight forward it is. No unnecessary adds, just go ahead, be yourself and do it. I wasn't the biggest fan of Hooty in season 1, but season 2 really made him a better charecter and this episode is by far the biggest growth to both Hooty and everyone else. Also i'm kinda surprised you didn't mention the ending where Hooty eating pretty much a death mail, but at the same time there's not a lot to talk akbout it so why am i mentioning it lol
I completely get why it's not everyone's favorite, but far and away my favorite episode of the entire show was Reaching Out. As someone without a father in my life and someone who buries his problems in favor of taking care of everyone else around me, that episode hurt like a knife. I genuinely sat in front of my computer after the episode finished at 1 in the morning, silent, letting it sink in for about 20 minutes. They handled literally every part of that episode perfectly, between Luz's need for a distraction to keep her sane, Amity's dad trying to fix things but it being clear it'll take time(the handshake instead of the hug made me so happy), the scene at the end with the flowers, and most importantly Luz's walls crumbling to Amity while she tries to pretend it's nothing with tears in her eyes. That entire scene absolutely destroyed me. I love this series, and there are plenty of amazing episodes, but this one hit me harder than anything in a show ever has
I’m really glad I binged watched this series after Amphibia ended, it’s so good! It really sucks that Disney screwed them over, but I have all the faith in the world that Dana Terrace will still succeed at giving us an awesome ending for this series, I can’t wait for the three specials to come out!
@@supremestv haha yup! It's How to Cope With Your Favourite Show Ending 101: Bury yourself into another show to get past the pain of the other show ending.
I was already very impressed with the show by the end of season 1, but season 2 just made my admiration for the show grow bigger and bigger and I couldn’t be happier for it. The first season is very praiseworthy on its own by season 2 signal handedly shot The Owl House into my top 10 favorite shows of all time and next to season 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra, season 2 of Gravity Falls, and season 4 of Dragons Race To The Edge, season 2 of The Owl House is one of my favorite seasons of any show ever.
I called that you wouldn't give a single negative score. After all, I did the same. This season is pretty much the best season of any Disney Show ever so....
I’m not even sure if I’d give any episode in the season below an 8/10, besides maybe episode 4. Also side note, Philip and Caleb are definitely brothers, not just friends.
Honestly, “Yesterday’s Lie” was one of my favorites, since it finally answered some questions on what was happening in the human realm, and who the hell was taking Liz’s place. On that note, Vee is a precious bean that must be protected.

About Luz's palisman - I think the egg is going to turn into a snake. if you look at the egg, all the lines and stuff make it look like a snake coiled up. what if instead of hatching it just uncoils? its staff form can be the egg luz carved, while off the staff itll be a snake. that way it can both keep the form luz made it and make its own form. plus her palisman being a snake was a popular theory before the egg existed (or rather, eggxisted) and i wasnt a huge fan of it before but now there seems to be actual evidence. idk just a theory i thought of that i thought id throw out there, i think it makes sense

Labyrinth Runners was probably my favorite episode in season 2. The fact that it turned out so well is honestly just impressive to me! It was one of, if not the only episode in the series where the most we got out of Luz, Eda, or King was mentions or pictures of them, yet they were able to make it one of my favorite episodes by far. Having some true development on Gus’s character especially, Willow & Amity patching up their friendship, Hunter dealing with the effects of finding out Belos’s secrets, and the development of side characters are only some of the reason as to why this episode’s so great. *Then again, I might be a little biased since Gus and Hunter are now my favorite duo in the entire series-*
My theory is that the collector is the kin of a deity like king, but was born/woke up earlier I think the collector wanted to play with king, because he saw them as peers of some sort, but some stuff went down, and maybe kings dad saw it as malicious intent, ( possible due to a feud between the collectors parent/parents and him) so he trapped the collector and hid king
Also, wait a minute. If King is a Titan. And Hooty took a blood sample to get a DNA test. That means that King has Titan's Blood, and that Hooty might have sent a syringe full of titan's blood to the emperor and nobody realized;
Yes! that's also my favorite episode in season 2! Eda's part made me cry. the way they told multiple stories in that episode was amazing. I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat. I also find it funny how the episode was so amazing that a lot of people reconsidered their feelings on hooty.
My personal favorite was reaching out I cried for a solid 15 minutes after plus it gives Luz do much character depth and recontextualizes a lot of her behavior in the first season (acting out at school and wanting acceptance from her peers due to her dad being gone). It’s great building for her character.
I loved this season every episode was a banger im a little sad that we don’t get to see more Luz and Co earth shenanigans, hopefully we’ll get to see some in the specials
Any sport in the storm ,clouds on the horizon, labyrinth runners, and kings tide were probably my favorite episodes, especially clouds on the horizon. It was awesome seeing Alador finally go against odalia. I probably screamed so loud when I saw him smash the abomatons, a couple people in my family gave me weird looks.
I really loved reaching out. It showed how Luz and Amity’s relationship isn’t perfect and Luz’s tendency to ignore her own needs for the sake of others. Also Edric’s B plot was amazing, making his character much more interesting. That along with how heartbreaking the end of this episode makes it so amazing. I can’t pick one favorite but this is definitely one of them

I've seen comments mentioning how Caleb was actually Phillip's brother. I'm surprised to not see any mention of how he might also be an ancestor of Eda and Lilith.
I've only seen like half the season but I can tell it's a major step up in story tightness, development and spectacle from the first season. Your sense of humour and smooth, hilarious editing make your season summaries very entertaining to watch. All I gotta say is... I wonder what's gonna happen in the third and final season which Disney corp-heads, in all their divine "wisdom" limited to just a handful of extended episodes for "not fitting the brand".
22:55 Yup, absolutely fell in love with Raine, especially after Thems the Breaks, Kid. Such a badass and so attractive 🤩 I love Eda so much but I want Raine to myself lol
i didn't even need to watch the end of the vid to know that your 1st best ep was knock knock knocking on hooty's door....... i rlly wanna know who caleb's partner was
slight correction-- Caleb was most likely his brother, not just his friend; that conspiracy theorist from Yesterday's Lie mentioned two brothers going to the demon realm, and the statues of them look like Philip and Caleb.
While it’s been hinted at HEAVILY and the one nerd said two brothers came to the boiling isles. It hasn’t been directly stated by belos. All he’s said about it was it’s an “old friend”
I thought I was the only one who adored Knock Knock Knockin’ On Hootys Door. The episode is genuinely the best piece of digital entertainment ever created.
to me its great to get not a Finally on the number 1 list Because yeah they're really good but if the finals are too easy to make the number 1 Yes sometimes I feel like the finale deserves to be number one But it's really nice to get to see a change of Absurds
Eda is currently my favorite cartoon character. If my pfp wasn't making that obvious. I would LOVE a young Eda show, as long as Wendie Malick was still involved, somehow. She made Eda the character she is. Maybe each episode is a flashback, bookended by Eda?
honestly hollow mind showed us how dark dana terrace's writing is, shes known to be a horror artist but this goes above and beyond in my opinion and im here for it.
One thing I really like is that Belos WOULD be the hero, in a story with a slightly different slant. No seriously, listen to this. A man from Earth falls into another world, one with magics most foul, and creatures gruesome and horrifying, all living here, prospering, even thriving on the bones of an Old God who game them their fell powers in the first place. He learns that this God might have a Progeny, something that, when it comes of age, could shake the world with its tread, and his world, his pure innocent world is connected to this terrible place in a way that it might somehow walk between, and devastate the world, leading its brood and those who sucked on its father's bones to destroy them all. So he makes the decision that he will work against these people. Even when some of them use their honeyed words to turn his own flesh and blood against him, he won't be swayed. He will even commit a great sin of his own and consume some of their power that he might match them. The Devil's Arms against the Devil's Own Tools is a rather poetic thing, after all. And he will stay here, and rot his body away, decade upon decade, century upon century, until he can finally remove their taint from this world, and secure the safety of his own. Then he can return in triumph, showing all that he had saved them, and be held up as a glorious person, who did so much for them. But as he nears the end, some young girl falls into this world, and with another thorn in his side, she begins to chip away at all he has built, even calls his sacrifices MEANINGLESS,! TO. HIS, FACE! Such insolence of someone so young. But he does not let his anger turn him aside, and at the end, he bears her no ill will, and even offers to take her back to their world with him, though he knows, from experience, that sometimes once the claws of these foul denizens are in your soul, you are lost. Note, I'm not saying any of this is true directly...though it all has some basis in what we see, Belos is still an evil bastard who does a lot of nasty things to do what he wants, but compared to villains in other series, corrupted by darkness, or even fearing change, you can see where he's coming from...all hail the Witch Hunter General.
Raida and Lumity foreverrr! I agree with your review of Season 2, and I also cannot wait for Season 3 and am sad it's only going to be 3 episodes long. You did a great job with this! Also, I have to ask, did you also do a double-take when you heard the previous Principal of Hexside was named Faust? (Does Dana hate Lauren?! Heh, probably not, but still-) Or was that just me?
What a video! Though I personally would've waited for Season 3 to review that and Season 2 together, it's still a banger, much like TOH S2, and I also believe even the "worst" episode would get nothing lower than a 6/10. It's going to be tough to figure out my favorites, because I'm a huge sucker for Lumity, and that fudging kiss, man, I can't describe it enough to confess how much I loved it. The finale and what came before it were phenomenal, along with the Lumity stuff, and outside of Lumity, King definitely got to develop along with Gus, Willow, Hunter, Lilith, and sure, even Hooty too. Let's hope the double-length episodes for the final season will be worth it!
The fact that a UA-camr ( sarcastic chorus) said King wasn't very interesting in season 1 or 2 and he could care less about Him ( I extremely disagree King is a really great Character)
Personally I would put reaching out just a bit higher on the rating scale just cus how emotional well written it was but that’s just me Also I have no idea why but I absolutely love how Luz was so unsure about why she was so invested with amity’s issue in the episode
finnthepony: Out of curiosity, would you guys watch a Hooty video where i analyze and gush about him? Me: You know what, sure. You deserve it. (Just do one for Eda)
WILLOW STARING EPISODE! HUNTER DEVELOPMENT! BIG BAD DARIUS MOMENT! GOOOALLLLLL This one had me laughing And now we wait, for owl houses version....of weirdmegeton. > - < And yes Steve is hot
The fact that King’s Tide didn’t make top 6 is actually ridiculous. This isn’t hate, I’m just in shock. But hey, here are my opinions. Separate tides: 8/10 Escaping Expulsion: 8/10 Echoes of the Past: 7/10 Keeping up a-fear-ances: 6/10 Through the Looking Glass Ruins: 8/10 Hunting Palismen: 10/10 Eda’s Requiem: 9/10 Knock Knock Knockin on Hooty’s Door: 9/10 Eclipse Lake: 8/10 Yesterday’s Lie: 9/10 Follies at the Coven Day Parade: 7/10 Elsewhere and Elsewhen: 9/10 Any Sport in a Storm: 7/10 Reaching Out: 8/10 Them’s the Breaks Kid: 10/10 Hollow Mind: 10/10 Edge of the World: 8/10 Labyrinth Runners: 8/10 O Titan, Where Art Thou: 7/10 Clouds on the Horizon: 9/10 King’s Tide: 10/10 Top 6 6- Eda’s Requiem 5- Elsewhere and Elsewhen 4- Hunting Palismen 3- Them’s the Breaks Kid 2- Hollow Mind 1- King’s Tide
My top 6 must be: 6. edas requiem 5. knock knock knocking on hootys door 4. hollow mind 3. thems the breaks kid 2. elsewhere and elsewhen 1.o titan where art thou I'm not even sure if this is the order I should put them in they're all such amazing episodes. But this is my top 6 favorites from season 2 but this was such an incredible season it was so hard to even choose favorites
for whoever might see this, i only recently found out about the owlhouse about 2 weeks before this comment. I started watching it and i found it very entertaining and captivating, so the very next day i decided to binge the rest of the episodes i had left (30 or so) in one sitting. Best show i've every watched and i want a king plushie ASAP! For me, its indescribable of how much of an amazing show it is and it really is a precious gem ; a (now) core memory of mine. I love Dana for creating this masterpiece and its a part of me now, haha. there aren't enough words i can conceive to describe the enjoyment i had and i love the community so, so much. *infinity/10 stars*, can't wait to continue season 3 and cherish it. And in the words of Jim Carrey: "Good morning! And in case I don't see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night."
I’m gonna be honest I kinda wanted king to hop in the abomotron, eda to go harpy Eda and Luz’s palisman to hatch and then have a a full fledged showdown against goopy Belos.
Any Sport in a Storm is my favorite of season 2, I love Hunter's development and we were treated to Darius being a better father figure to Hunter in a single episode than Belos was the entire show.
Hollow Mind was my personal favorite. Hope we get more horror/hellscape themed episodes in season 3.
unfortunately we're probably not gonna get a whole episode like that again since season 3 is only 3 specials, but we might get segments like it
that episode turned me emo istg
Hollow Minds was one of my favorite as well...🙂🙂

I've seen comments mentioning how Caleb was actually Phillip's brother. I'm surprised to not see any mention of how he might also be an ancestor of Eda and Lilith.
7:25 there’s a city named Salem in Connecticut.
I am amazed that hootie did not know that titans blood looks like because he did a blood test when they were seeing if he was a beast
What's the song that plays during the "Eda's Requiem" ? Great video nontheless ! Loved it, as usual.
Truly, the season was all hits, no filler.
22:55 Yup, absolutely fell in love with Raine, especially after Thems the Breaks, Kid. Such a badass and so attractive 🤩 I love Eda so much but I want Raine to myself lol
24:05 Terry-Sue/Teri-Sue could easily work I think.
i didn't even need to watch the end of the vid to know that your 1st best ep was
knock knock knocking on hooty's door.......
i rlly wanna know who caleb's partner was
slight correction-- Caleb was most likely his brother, not just his friend; that conspiracy theorist from Yesterday's Lie mentioned two brothers going to the demon realm, and the statues of them look like Philip and Caleb.
While it’s been hinted at HEAVILY and the one nerd said two brothers came to the boiling isles. It hasn’t been directly stated by belos. All he’s said about it was it’s an “old friend”
@@emperorbelos6835 yeah, i know. still think it's probably safe to assume, but just in case it wasn't i put the words "most likely" in there
1:26 Hey, it’s El Chavo del 8, one of my favorite comedy shows! …that I saw reruns of when I was a kid. Still love it, though!
I thought I was the only one who adored Knock Knock Knockin’ On Hootys Door. The episode is genuinely the best piece of digital entertainment ever created.
A whole video about Hooty? Hell yeah!
to me its great to get not a Finally on the number 1 list Because yeah they're really good but if the finals are too easy to make the number 1 Yes sometimes I feel like the finale deserves to be number one But it's really nice to get to see a change of Absurds
I like the idea that Phillip began to disfigure himself through the glyphs he put onto himself, rather than a curse
I love that being in a legit hell dimension made luz more normal than BEFORE she went to the hell dimension!
I like how king got proven to not be royalty but in a few more episode he is proven to (Technically) a god
“That’s what she said” HELP AM DIEING FROM LAUGHTER!
Flapjack and Hunter is my favorite relationship. Hunter cares about his lil birbie and nobody else, and that is beautiful.
My favorite episode is either Knock Knock on Hooty's Door, Reaching Out, or King's Tide
23:36 instrument-al I see what you did there
What a video!
Can we talk about how good his hooty impression is
* i feel like you couldve touched more on hunters psychology and mental state in hollow mind and the lengths of what belos did to him
My favorite episode is then the breaks kid it was so so so so so do so cute 😍 💗 💖 ❤ 💓 I love raine and eda
The fact that a UA-camr ( sarcastic chorus) said King wasn't very interesting in season 1 or 2 and he could care less about Him ( I extremely disagree King is a really great Character)
Raine's VA is similarly nonbinary; their voice is unique because it that's what taking T does to a voicebox.
As a fellow #1 Hooty fan I approve of everything said here
Caleb and Phillip are brothers!
14:16 actually, you'd be surprised, apprantly the "King is a Titan theory" was pretty unpopular in the fandom before it was confirmed
2:09-2:14 love the lwa in there lmaooo makes total sense (0.25x speed to hear well)
Personally I would put reaching out just a bit higher on the rating scale just cus how emotional well written it was but that’s just me
Also I have no idea why but I absolutely love how Luz was so unsure about why she was so invested with amity’s issue in the episode
Young Eda gives me interesting Catra vibes. Idk why! I love it!
We definitely need a hooty video from you. MAKE IT HAPPEN
Knock, Knock, Knocking on Hooty's Door makes Hooty the bext character... until he eats the letter. I HAVE VERY MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT YOU, HOOTY!
I actually agree with his choice of knock knock knocking on hooty's door I loved that episode
finnthepony: Out of curiosity, would you guys watch a Hooty video where i analyze and gush about him?
Me: You know what, sure. You deserve it. (Just do one for Eda)
23:36 hehe “instrumental” like instrument cuz he a bard… I’ll see myself out not
THEY*
Do the 3 extra episodes already have a release date?
An "Eh Steve" reference?
11/10
WILLOW STARING EPISODE! HUNTER DEVELOPMENT! BIG BAD DARIUS MOMENT! GOOOALLLLLL
This one had me laughing
And now we wait, for owl houses version....of weirdmegeton.

And yes
Steve is hot
Man, I never realized there was so much hidden in hollow mind

Let's be real if this show had a normal season 3 you would of been complaining about it like amphibia season 3 considering it is in the human world
Not if the episode were really good...
I would not complain! I'd be all for it! Human realm adventures would be fricken awesome!
Yeah I was talking about Finn the pony sense he didn't like the human realm adventure in amphibia season 3
It's always the cool Hobos that have mom and/or dad vibes!
My favorite episode of season 2 is clouds on the horizon for obvious reasons 😉
In my opinion all the episodes 100/10
My top 6 must be:
6. edas requiem
5. knock knock knocking on hootys door
4. hollow mind
3. thems the breaks kid
2. elsewhere and elsewhen
1.o titan where art thou
I'm not even sure if this is the order I should put them in they're all such amazing episodes. But this is my top 6 favorites from season 2 but this was such an incredible season it was so hard to even choose favorites
The Collecror makes me think of Discord from MLP FiM
for whoever might see this, i only recently found out about the owlhouse about 2 weeks before this comment.
Caleb and Phillipe were brothers; check out Yesterday's Lie ^^ (which is why Belos call Hunter is nephew, it isn't completely untrue)
You know what ima relight the rite way
I’m so glad we agree on our #1 episode!
I would totally watch a video on hooty! He's one of my favs as well!
Any Sport in a Storm is my favorite of season 2, I love Hunter's development and we were treated to Darius being a better father figure to Hunter in a single episode than Belos was the entire show.
Caleb and Philip we're brothers, not a friend. And is clear he did the Palisman thing on himself.
Thank god your favourite episode isn’t king tide I personally like the one you chose better than kings tide :)
Ok you have to tell me what is the background music in the #4 best/Eda's Requiem, 21:00
