- With all the coven heads from The Owl House showcasing their powers on screen as of King's Tide, I'm finally able to execute a video idea that I've wanted to do for a while. Ranking the covens based on their strength!

I do wish we got to know the other coven heads better. Darius, Terra, Raine, Eber, and Adrian had some time devoted to them, but we never even learned the names of the potions, healing, oracle, and construction covens heads. Curse Disney for cutting this series short.

It was definitely due to time constraints and the coven heads they did choose to show were worth it bc of plot and character reasons

If healers had access to something like Tsunade senju's healing prowess I'd think they'd be unstoppable and a major support asset. Too bad the item with the most powerful healing magic (the hat said to remove any curse and cure any ailment) was destroyed.

If Disney didn't shorten season 3 to just 44-minute specials, we could have more time to properly introduce the other 4 Coven Heads (Healing, Potions, Oracle, and Construction). Hettie Cutburn (the Healing Coven Head) was originally going to have her own arc and there was going a backstop on how Darius and Eberwolf met and became friends.
Maybe when its finished we can get comics of these things

1:19 - 2:09 I also feel like characters such Eda, Lilith, & Boscha imply that the Potions track is used as the Boiling Isles' equivalent to undecided majors for people who either don't have a future goal, who use the track as a placeholder for joining the Emperor's Coven, or who have career goals that don't heavily involve using magic. Barkus & Edric are the only Potions track students who’ve actually shown taking potion magic seriously
Not to mention Principal Bump put Luz into Potions when she first started out at Hexside.
Potions can also be seen as a sort of jack of all trades. Since they can practically do anything if you have the means to fetch the ingredients.
Now that I think about it, I understand why in general Belos would want students to stick to one track. But students with the intention of eventually joining the Emperors Coven probably should be studying and mastering all tracks for maximum efficiency. It's also kind of strange that despite the fact it's supposed to be the most powerful coven, the only individual in the Emperor's coven whose combat abilities seem at all impressive with the exception of Belos himself is Lilith. Maybe that is because most members haven't actually studied more than one track in school before becoming scouts, not much of an advantage to be able to use all forms of magic if you are only actually trained in using one kind anyway.
Another thing about bard magic is that to do the more powerful spells, like the ones we see Raine use, it takes a lot of learning the instrument. Eda has technically used bard magic, but all we've seen her do is make things float.
Yeah, Raine and Eda have shown versatility with Bard Magic, but their also already skilled at those instruments.
This makes me really hope that singing would be enough to cast Bard magic
@@emmaray6215 If whistling can change chemistry of liquids and can also be used to attack (can hear and see Raine whistling during covens vs wilds), than singing would also be used for bard magic.
I think that instruments and sounds are ways to power or cast spells, and just like drawing a spell circle, the caster needs the knowledge and power to use magic through those tools.
Basically, to not use an instrument and instead use different sounds in creative ways to cast bard magic, you need to be intelligent enough and have understanding of bard magic and it’s mechanics.
I think that Raine is really smart and is great at bard magic, and at the end of “Them’s the Breaks, Kid” we even see Raine using bard magic to create the same decay effect Eda’s bard magic has, but Raine isn’t even cursed!
Raine only saw Eda’s bard magic to realize the potential, even being the one suggesting to use Eda’s bard magic to take down Darius and Eberwolf, and later on replicating the effects on their own.
This went a bit off topic, sorry, I just think the way bard magic is shown in the show is cool, and it’s interesting how Raine uses it.
If I lived there I would practice construction and abomination because I love the idea of terra forming

You missed a small detail about healing magic, they also have the ability to make temporary shields. We see Viney do this at the start of the flyer derby game.
I'd like to imagine that healing magic lets you do all the same magic bullshit the Medic from Team Fortress 2 can do, which would be insane. Like, imagine you're fighting Hettie and Darius and then Hettie gives Darius a fucking Übercharge.
@@demi-femme4821 you could probably make healing items too. You could rap someone up with a giant bandage and stab someone with a syringe that could also have multiple effects as making them small or falling asleep. Maby you could cast spells att people so they are more durable or less durable
If I were to mix multiple types of magic together, here's a list of a few ideas.
Bard and Healing: I could quite literally, heal the sick with music and not JUST provide some tunes to help ease stress.
Bard and Illusions: With both, i could bring both my music and/or my storytelling skills as a bard literally to life with the specific types of illusions, becoming my very own one-man show.
Bard and Beast-Keeping: With my music, I could tame even the most fearsome beasts into becoming my friends...kind of like the Planter Family Hunting Dance but with music
Bard and Illusions would be so fing useful for writing/drawing, you could literally create the scenario in front of you

I do wish we got to see more of healing and oracle magic I had this crazy idea back when hunting palisman aired where what if Belos cursed form was an amalgamation of all the types of magic like how Kevin 11 looks sometimes in the Ben 10 series. I just couldn't think of any crazy powerful spell for healing or oracle or some unique ability only to the user.

Edit: About Healing magic. It also seems to have some defensive capabilities, such as when Viney conjured a shield during the Flyer Derby match.
do we know if that was a healing spell or just like a general spell? I heard at one point there are some spells that dont replate to any coven (like when raine summoned the instruments out of like a pocket demension, or possibly some of the shots of just, like, damaging magic), but idk
@@Beanie26 I mean, you could be right. Some spells, like conjuration and levitation, seem universally available no matter what Coven you're in, but shielding being a form of Healing magic makes sense, at least to me.

I wanna learn illusion!bard and oracle magic
I've been a Fan of Oracle Magic ever since I saw the Moon Girl fighting Willow with her Crystal Ball Demon but, yeah it's kinda sad how The Oracle Coven didn't get that much spotlight.
I would have wanted to see some Telekinesis, Mind Reading, Body Swapping through the exchange of Minds, BREAKING Minds, Rewriting and Erasing Memories etc.
It just had so much untapped potential to me. It would have definitely be a Coven I'd join.
Her name is Selene, and yeah. She was pretty cool. Wish she was actually involved in one of the episodes 😕
I belive oracle could also do stuff like, hide in shadows, control like magic flames, make people go blind, turn into a ghost or like leave your body like as a spirt, or talk to the dead.
Amity used a construction gliff in season one at some point and it boosted her ability to use magic as well. so construction glifs are kind of OP and can actually be used by people who aren’t in the construction coven.
Reminder that Amity didn’t “use” the glyph, she had it placed on her unknowingly by Lilith

It was an illegal move in the witches duel if amity was of the construction coven it would of been fine to use the glyphs but obviously it can easily be put on someone of a different coven
I think that the Illusion Coven is pretty powerful. In Labyrinth Runners, we saw Adrian use illusion magic to make tons of guards invisible, which could be useful for ambushing.
Headcanons for Coven Abilities:
Abomination: hive mind with abominations
Bard: Dance powers
Beast Keeping (My favorite Coven): Hive mind, Shapeshifting, and as for beastial abilities (gills, thermal vision, acid spraying, venom, etc.)
Construction: Metal and crystal manipulation (could be used to disrupt an oracle in combat)
Healing: Age and size manipulation, control bones and blood, maybe an advanced regeneration where cut off body parts can grow into clones
Illusion: Vertigo and nausea inducement
Oracle: 360 vision and headache inducement
Plant: Turn into a plant
Potion: Acidic vomit (similar to vitimir’s toxic breath but more like Reflux’s lava spewing abilities from the Incredibles), element manipulation.
Additional abilities
Plant. Change the biology and chemical structure of plants allowing you to basically gmo plants at will creating explosives or new poisons or even horribly corruptive hives of CONSUMPTION that only thirst for flesh and blood
Abomination. Ability to not only negate spells but also absorb them thus creating a fire abomination or growing vines through abominations or mixing the ingredients with a potion for bizarre effects oh also taking the property's of absorbed spells and materials
Beast. Your favorite so i hope you like it
Modification of beasts and changing biological code of an animal creation of new life ability to polymorph other entities along with yourself ability to contract elementals and primordial entities so they work for you curses and such only obtained after contracting a beast or elemental afflicted with that curse and ability to modify preexisting cures or changing elemental attributes by combining them and of course animation of inanimate objects with the ability to project beastly qualities on to them so you could create a mimic
You just made Beast Keeping a million times cooler than just summoning creatures. Really hope those are actual abilities for Beast Keeping track.

My favorite
Construction. Transmutation of any material creation of pocket dimensions forging with material that you cant normally forge with such as light air or water and snow rune and fire or rage (dwarf skills) etching allowing architecture or weaponry to take on elemental properties permanently EX making a sink that heats water or lights that don't go out or an Axe that is on fire permanently also obviously skin or body part transmutation turning body parts to steel or water or coating them with lava or spikes oh also chemical manipulation basically meaning infinite gunpowder or acid with enough skill oh and telekinesis or control of created structures or man made materials
Paired with beast you could have monsters with armor skin or living weapons with cursed qualities it would be an unstoppable combination

Someone in tweeter mentioned that there were originally some contents about hettie cutburn, but because the season was cut short, so only some of the coven heads have speaking roles. (I would love to hear hettie and some of the other speak in s3. )

absorbing other's energy & blood through a spell (aka healers can also be killers but in a different way).

I think abomination and illusions can be a powerful combo bc you can clone your abominations and let the clones "attack" the enemy, which can drain the enemy's stamina. Then, when the enemy looks really tired, delivering the final blow wouldn't be that hard.

While I agree with you for the most part, specially on the fact that most of the magic covens are more or less right next to each other, I do believe illusion magic could be a bit higher since a good assassin could slip unseen through illusions. The main detail you're missing is the fact that most of these spells aren't executed with the intent to kill or deal serious damage. For example, when Gus goes to the illusionists graveyard, he essentially traps all his opponents in a field where they are unable to find Gus. Had Gus actually intended to hurt them, Gus would have dominated the battle. Same with the head coven. He is able to slip into the school and would have been able to seal most of the students magic had Gus, a gifted representative of illusion magic, not been present. There are also a bunch of coven scouts surrounding them, showing that if they wanted, they could have taken over the school right then and there even in the presence of Gus. Also, abomination magic is very versatile, specially since they can be modified, however, if I'm not wrong, Luz is able to just punch an abomination out of commission without any actual magic. Sure, abominations are versatile and strong, but they are also pretty squishy due to their goo like tendency.
Yeah but see Darius, His cythe hand is very resistant abomination material can solify easily if needed but usually keeps the Goo form for more versatility and agility
I think the abomination goo is like oobleck, it hardens when there's an external force applied (like when punched or hit) but is gooey when in motion. The goo floats when they're being structured into weapons and other stuff, so there's no physical pressure that stiffens it.
Regardless of how the certain magic types can be ranked, I still really love how The Owl House is able to show the strengths of all types of magic. In most games and shows/movies, characters that possess the ability of healing, illusions, and ESPECIALLY bard magic are typically shown to be the weakest link but in the Owl House we get some really powerful witches that have these abilities, like Raine, Gus, and Vinney. The way magic works in this show itself is one of my favorite things about The Owl House!
If Beastkeeping magic includes man-to-beast shapeshifting and not just summoning, it would 100% be my main form of magic on The Boiling Isles.
Mine to. You could give yourself gills for water fights, snake thermal vision for spotting invisible foes or seeing through illusions, venom or acid spraying capabilities, wings, etc. I could go on forever, but Beast Keeping has the chance to be seriously OP
@@docfox4353 not the chance, in the hands of a capable witch its even better than abominations, even more versatile. Also, sorry Darius lovers but i think Eberwolf is the best covenhead he/She is awsome
We have seen Eberwolf use some form of beastkeeping magic on their eyes to spot tracks or it could be a genetic trait exclusive to Eberwolf. Still, I would learn beastkeeping if it meant I could be like Beast Boy.

I’m pretty sure in season one Amity used one of the power glyphs during her battle with Luz
it probably worked on her because she isnt bound to a coven yet (dosnt have a sigil)
My theory is that these sigils aren't comparable to luz's glyphs and that they can only be created and activated by construction magic, but work on anyone. I mean, it worked on Tinella Nosa and Amity, but the sigils were activated by the construction guy and Lilith
@@Whenpigfly666 yeah, Luz's glyphs control the magic around them (as Lilith said), but power glyphs probably has construction magic in them already

Sigils are used to limit magic so it is easier for belos to win in a fight against the people while glyphs are used to control the magic around them so those two ideas contradict so they can’t be combined…
Or it’s just that the sigil is supposed to make a witch stronger, probably issuing the magic already within the witch while luz being human had no magic….

I remember taking an Owl House quiz that puts you in an coven based on your answers. I got the Bard coven and wouldn't mind at all being in the same coven as Raine. In addition to Bard magic, I would love to learn Oracle, Illusion, and Abomination magic.

Bard, Abomination, healing and or potions are the top for me. Being able to create powerful spells from music or even just whistling is too good, plus I can play instruments. Abomination because obviously, the power to make armies, weapons, shields etc is also very op. And ofc to be able to heal or create potions is good as well, you never know what's in my satchel or what I'm gonna throw next, also I just want my oc to have a satchel lol.
I have a genuine question you know how in eclipse lake hunter used this sort of light attack what coven would that belong too we also saw him use construction magic too but I doubt the literal lightning hunter used belongs to the construction coven on the topic of hunter why did they need to nerf him so much he was busted in eclipse lake using so many different kinds of magic they could have really done a lot with him loving studying magic and having the resources to learn them imagine it he could have been a jack of all trades but it seems he’s been limited to just teleporting it’s pretty sad
@@bahnankhayre9534 before asking such questions you need to remember, that coven system is made to limit magic, not really part of magic's nature. And some spells don't belong to any coven(this thing was told in the show. Those spells can use members of each coven, but sigil will make them weaker and harder to cast). It can be one of those
(it's not relevant, but I noticed, that the color of those lightinigs is the color of bard magic and when Hunter casted them the fight music began(also some similar thins casted Raine, but as waves), but nah)

Although that does make me wonder about the leaders of the lesser covens, which weren't expanded on much. Just mentioned during Covention Day, with a later episode having an Emperor's Coven scout quit her job to go back to the tiny cat coven. Maybe they're more like subfactions of the main covens? Big dog, small cat, and tiniest cat being part of beastkeeping, rhyming coven being part of the bard coven, and so on.

I believe the reason Oracle magic isn't used more often in TOH is because it might be more like Healing and Beast keeping. When you think of Future Seeing character's in other forms of media (such as Nighteye from MHA) they are usually very *very* strong and powerful knowing and understanding of your every move but at a cost of some sort. For example Sir Nighteye can only determine one person's future movements and has to see every detail from their perspective. And he doesn't have any sort of physical or mental benefits only the knowledge. From my understanding Oracle magic with the foresight is probably very difficult and takes a lot of focus and doesn't have *that* many benefits and it could even take a greater toll on the person's body from that experience, even though we did not see a lot if any of the Oracle Coven Head, I believe it probably takes a very mentally strong mind to see the future for multiple people. When you think about it there are a lot of technicalities when it comes to the subject, who's future are you seeing, how long are you seeing the future, does one scene of events count as everyone who is visible in the scene's future, and so fourth.
I love oracle magic, It felt good to see it high on a ranking
I wish we had more character screen time for the potion oracle construction and healing especially vitimeer since he had the most interesting design for me personally and oracle for the same reasons

It's nice that we got to see the remaining Coven Heads in actions with the powers, it would be nice to get to know more about them if Disney didn't cancel the show due to it not fitting the "Disney Brand".
Illusion magic might not be great for combat, but it excels at psychological warfare
I hope the Coven Heads will make an appearance and have some speaking roles in the Season 3 Specials.
Personally I am biased to the illusion and bard covens, as its magic really ties into alot of the things that make magic fun for me. But I think having illusions be underrated makes sense, as it takes a pretty creative and adaptable witch to make full use of its potential. If Gus can shut down Adrian at his young age, he could be an insanely powerful witch growing up
I am pretty sure the abomatons use oracle magic also, which gives them the higher strength and durability needed at cost of flexibility.
What does that have to do with Oracle magic?

@@PMARC14 yeah but nothing implies that the gem is Oracle magic. Illusionists, eda, and Lilith all use magic gems.
@@awesomegaymer5786 there is something that applies to it having oracle magic and that's the fact that abomatons can create dome like shields and one of the things oracle magic can do is create dome like shields but abomination magic can't you can use abomation matter to create a dome but not like the ones thw abomatons make

A question i have is since we have seen fire, ice, and some other elemental magics then why isn't there an elemental coven? Even witches with covens like Boscha can use fire which i find odd since i would imagine that would be pretty damn powerful even on its own. I also kinda wish we saw it more outside of luz using glyphs.
i think elemental magic is just general magic, or its too similar to wild magic in comparison to the more refined types of magic.
Head potion coven: smokes weed

6:16 Plant magic is also one the glyphs can do easily without being combined glyphs so it is a important coven
Personally, I think Bard is one of the Top Tier Strongest because of how strong they can be within the Dungeons & Dragons game. To prove my point, permit me to share a quote from a D&D inspired Gumball episode where Darwin plays a bard.
Darwin: I play a Seduction Ballad to woo the monster
Dungeon Master Richard: But you can't, it's an animal.
Darwin: Yeah...but it's half-WITCH.
(Darwin plays ballad and the witch, who is in the form of a beastly Tarrasque, becomes enamored with him)
I've seen many examples of bards at work in fiction and they are not to be messed with.
But bards in d&d work very differently from toh... Is not really a good way to rank a magic type based on a different fictional source than the one you're taking about

Am I the only one a little annoyed we didn’t even get to meet all the coven heads. Yeah I know it was because of time but Its still think it’s annoying
I personally would put potions in number one cause you don't even need magic to make potions! Eda lost her powers to the curse but you don't see that stopping her. Belos should have counted it as wild magic cause nothing is stopping anyone from grabbing a pot, heating up some water and snagging whatever magical item they can find! (heh I found a coven loophole)
Even though potions are very versatile and can be made without magic the reason it was not in a higher spot is because of the time needed to make the potions and you need to have the right ingredients for the potion you want so it is very time consuming now if you have pre prepared potions then yes a potions user woukd be a very formidable foe but still unless they have pre prepared potions I don't think there opponent is gonna wait for them to make more potions and speaking of making more potions what if you do make pre prepared potions and they run out before the fight ends so the reason if wasn't a higher spot is because there are just to many flaws with potions
I agree with the healing being at the bottom but you did forget the part where Vinney used a sort of blue hand shield thing in any sporty in a storm which I’m pretty sure is for the healing track

The bard coven can manipulate objects, we saw this with Ed’s when she started playing.
I was so confused at first thinking of an owl house x Ben 10 au, I say Luz would be the case for that but I don't even know what her original 10 be but this video helped me out, I only thought of 4 which are chromastone, artiguana, wildvine and heatblast, but after watching this, i thought of a few more like goop, ghostfreak, diamondhead, rath and echo echo, but 1 more is remaining and I just couldn't put my finger on it
Since Raine can change the makeup of a liquid from just seeing some of it (the drink wasn’t in a clear glass or anything), does that mean that Raine can kill someone of their opponent has a cut by turning the blood in their body to apple blood or something?
You could also use music and sound to cause internal damage by using different frequencies to rupture organs among other things.

Plant magic in general is really powerful a good example of a character with plant powers being poison ivy.

Anyone can use the power glyphs but it seems there hard to come by if you're not in the Construction coven or the Emperors coven also even though it's never 100% confirmed in the show I'm pretty sure that any spell that makes or conjures some form of restraints IE shackles, nets,rope traps and cages is Beast keeping magic as well.
My personal opinion on coven magic: Aside from the Emperor's Coven which is the obvious exception, Abomination and Bard are some of the most versatile, but every coven can be powerful in it's own right. We see examples of this everywhere, too. (Beastkeeping - Gwen/Eber; Potions - Eda; Bard - Raine; Abomination - Darius/Alador; Oracle - Odalia; Plant - Willow/Terra; Healing - Emira/Viney; Illusion - Gus; Construction I'm unsure on but prob Matt)
There's no real way to rank the Covens because each of them cover different things. Beastkeeping is control of the creatures, both attack and as help; potions are for things basic magic can't help (Eda's elixrs); illusions are control of people's perceptions; healing can be both support and attack bc as seen, healers will know the most lethal spots to go for; ect.
Though, if I *had* to choose a coven, I'd go Bard. I love music and the ability to do magic (And have Raine as the head of my coven, bc they deserve the world) with it sounds awesome

I wonder if you could use healing magic to harm/kill. Like heal but do it intentionally wrong, like the Inflict Wounds cleric spell in D&D or fleshcrafting someone's body.

About Healing Coven: It's also established that they can perform defensive agic like shields as seen in Any Sport in a Storm

Honestly I think potions can be a threat but yeah with the ingredients gathering that would make them pretty weak..but then again there could be some potions that could rival the other covens like imagine one that could temporarily seal your magic or somethin.
Okay so I'm like half way through and i think bard and beast keeping should be switched, i think that in a combat situation beast keeping can just be used you can summon animals to you while something like bard magic you need an instrument (if you don't count whistling) and you can just stop bard magic with ear blockers but beast keeping cannot be as easily swapped
For the ear blockers part, bards can still manipulate the environment, just not people. Plus, there may be some way for bard magic to counteract ear blockers that we didn’t see.
But yeah, beasts are really useful and powerful, but this is also a ranking of the coven heads, so that had some factor to the results as well
@@El3gantElephant that's very true, but with earblockers once again i don't think you need like actual ones you could probably make makeshift ones out of plants or abomination just in the right form, and i think that in specific situations eberwolf could maybe beat raine, because they're so small and flexible they could probably easily dodge waves and stuff

@@docfox4353 Dana really did try her best. The owl house Is the best show I've EVER seen. I agree, its not her fault at all. It's Disney's fault, I think this is all because they don't want a diverse show to "ruin" their reputation. They love censorship. Dana has done everything she could.

And third season was reduced from 20 episodes to 3 44-minute specials (The equivalent of six normal episodes). Dana Terrace, the show creator says it was because the show didn’t meet the expectations of the Disney brand, but most people think it is because of the show’s LGBTQIA+ content, which gets censored in a lot of countries overseas, such as China.

one detail about beast keeping magic that you forgot to mention is that you can use it to animate inanimate objects, as seen by Gwendolyn when confronting Eda and Liliths beast forms, she brings roof shingles to life with an eye and wings to make a path up to them

I don’t think oracle magic can actually predict future. Otherwise they would know about the unity day.
Keep in mind that some things are rushed because of disney. I imagine if they had time the coven head probably knew about the day of unity but kept quiet because they were corrupt. Just like Odalia.
For the rest of the Oracles they have to be suspicious for them to look up the day of unity in their visions.
We really do need bard magic to be explained a lot better because how its explain is just spells via music which can literally be anything
I think that oracle magic could be like the same as abomination just because it can be a solid and like a gas i guess seeing that it can phase through abominations and other matter. Like if we had an ally that uses oracle magic i think that they would be more powerful than the others if there's more developments on it.

I love the idea of abomination magic, it’s my number one main magic on the boiling isles, next to bard and beast keeping. Overall every coven is great but abomination is by far my favorite.

Man I really want to join the healing coven. The idea to have the power to heal the people that are important to me or heal other people that have people wanting for them to come back, bring more colors to my eyes (I hope that you understand what I wrote, coz I'm still learning english).
If you’ve never seen the combat capability of illusions it’s because of the different ways authors used them plus illusions have extremely high capabilities. The book series that made me realize this and one that I highly recommend is “The Young Elites”. Illusions are an underrated and powerful ability that just get overshadowed by the abilities that do physical damage unfortunately.
I gotta say, I love that most of these magic tracks come with practical quick means of transportation.
I was wondering for a while if I were a witch in this universe (I dabble in real life) which coven I'd be in. I didn't come here seeking that answer, but having you break each of these down as you ranked them was super helpful. I'd be in the Oracle Coven. Not too shabby.
i think that healing has a lot of potential: imagine essentially being invulnerable, and the only effective attack is a surprise one shot killing blow, and then add the ability to essentially use the force, maybe prevent the enemy from healing

Healing: it's still very rarely shown and you described it very well
Potion: FTF showed us another power of potions being able to melt Abomination goo which is a pretty useful power when against an Abomination maker but the weakness you stated it had is still there but there are more that you forget to one being if a potion is made wrong it will completely change most of the time probley just being ruined and if a potion bottle is broken at the wrong time the potion inside would be either set off or wasted
Illusions: you covered it perfectly
Construction: after FTF we saw more of what this coven can go being able to move already summoned rock
Beast Keeping: You covered it perfectly but one thing I am wondering about is can a bond between beast and witch be broken and if yes what can you do with that beast now
Bard: You covered it perfectly
Oracle: so little is shown but you still covered it as well as you could
Plant: You covered it perfectly
Abomination: something new we see in season 3 is that an Abomination coven user can't just summon an Abomination out of nowhere they need goo to use Amity having to use mud as her goo since she didn't have any in Thanks to Them plus a new weakness is that what if an abomination is dried out what happens does it turn to dust, become a statue, or just can't be dried out

Illusion, potions and healing are a far more gimmicky forms of magic rather than being more powerful, plant magic having the potential bonuses of potions and healing to a lesser extent, abomination magic definitely looks like the most fun to use, and has a lot of potential

The anime & manga “The wrong way to use healing magic” is the best example I can give for the real potential of healing magic.
I'd put potions at the bottom as potion "magic" can be used unrestricted, Lilith could make a potion and she doesn't have magic.
in convention lilith places a power glyph on amity and it actually boosts her magic without her going into that super saiyan mode tinella went thru so probably the glyph boost is more prominent on construction coven members

I would definitely bring the illusion coven up at least one or two, the ability to manipulate people is crazy and you can create anything the only downside is it isn't physically there. Like covers you mention later, it is hard to become proficient, but it's crazey
