Star wars is such a flexible franchize, were it can be literally ANY type of game. Companies just don't seem to understand this.
It’s not that they don’t understand it, cause they often do. It’s that making a Star Wars game requires a commitment that not many studios are willing to do. Part of the reason that Star Wars games were so plentiful during the 2000s was due to LucasArts. For them Star Wars was their thing. And while there were other studios like pandemic with the battlefront games. LA was the main studio. Now making a star wars game is a choice. And most studios would rather make their own original game. It’s the exact reason EA dropped bf2 support to focus on their own properties.
Tired of seeing Jedi trash smh.
Hate to be that guy. But "where*"
Star wars is mostly Rts
What about a high fantasy dungeon crawler
I remember thinking a Republic Commando-themed Siege-type game would be awesome
I thought we were going to get that with Respawn but it might have gotten canceled
Republic Commandos vs Commando Droids. Call it Star Wars Commandos, that's your game right there
@@BunkerDweller easy money 😎
@@Zazzy235 funny said that there is rainbow six game called rainbow six Vegas 1-2 so similar to republic commando
one side with alien freaks the other with armor men
To be fair, the ak is on a country’s flag it’s so iconic so it’s easier for Normies to see. I never had a problem with it, I mean they made Star Wars blasters out of lugers , m4’s and other famous service weapons, don’t think the ak should be excluded
True, but the modifications on those weapons were extensive. Unless you were a gun-nut, you won't be able to identify it. I however, a non-gun-nut, laughed out loud when I saw the AK. They could've at least removed the magazine or something.
@@turkeygod6665When i see a stormtrooper heavy blaster i point at the screen and say "hey, its the mg34"
@@alphanoodle1877 Considering I dont know what an mg34 for, im assuming you noticed it because your a gun-nut.
They had used ancient weapons not many know such as L2A3 with folded stock that is reassembling famous E11 stormtrooper blaster gun. Using ancient guns were a great idea. Especially forgotten or underused ones.
@@turkeygod6665 I’m guessing you don’t know mg stands for machine gun
That doesn’t take any gun knowledge to understand
My only gripe with the AK-47 blaster from Andor is I think it could've been done better. I do recall finding a fan made design around 12 or 13 years ago I thought was better looking in comparison.
the front end was too recognizable - the entire handguard/barrel/gasblock was basically unchanged. they could've, say, used the AK74 or galil gas block instead of the 47/M, and put the gas block under the barrel instead of over. something weird and nonsensical to change the profile of it just a little more. maybe change the handguard too. the hungarian AMD series of AK clones had a distinctive handguard where the top half was removed which made it look distinct from other AK clones, that couldve worked here
edit: looking at the AMD again they could've just straight up used the AMD63 handguard with no other changes and it would look way better lol
@@Luey_Luey If we're going off of recognizability, then practically all the ones based on ww2 weapons fail
It’s not just the fact that it’s recognizable but the fact that the modifications made don’t really change the silhouette enough. They used an MP40 rear end and buttstock to make it not literally just an AK, but since real AKs do have underfolding metal buttstocks and stamped sheet metal dust covers, that isn’t enough of a change to make people suspend their disbelief.
I think simply adding a scope somewhere would’ve helped break up the obvious AK silhouette and make it more “Star Wars-y”. Adding a scope and large muzzle device on the DL-44 help give it a very distinct look from a Mauser C96.
@@justaliteralgoat5639 Yeah but your average person today doesn't know what an L2A3, Lewis Gun, MG34 or MG15 are. The AK 47 is one of few guns that almost everyone knows. The silhouette is too iconic.
@@VinDoyNew At the time of A New Hope, so were most of the guns used. Han's blaster is literally the most iconic German pistol of ww2
No love for Dyn Jarrin's Disintegration Rifle? Hell, it could have made it as a sniper rifle.
I mean technically, it's a disruptor rifle variant, so a model of it could become a "skin" for the awp analog
It's literally a disruptor rifle. It's on the list, just with the design used in Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy.
Honestly, All you should do now is expanding it.
Hell my first instinct would be expanding it to the Clone wars. "Droid Commandos" vs "Arc Troopers"
EMP grenades would be too OP vs droids. CIS had organic commando regiments though
Droid Poppers aren't effective against Commando Droids, They'd need to be hit at a very specific angle or if their armor is breached in order to get it to work at full effect.
Also in a game just MAYBE we can ignore canon effectivess for the sake of gameplay; I'm yet to hear anybody complaining about how clones/TK troopers wouldn't get affected by flash bang or smoke grenades when their helmets are made to withstand those
@@ThatGuy89002 We could just add new alternative versions to existing grenades:
flash would be throwable sensor scrambler, which would affect both droids and Trooper helmet visors, with a byproduct of a short intense light flash that affects normal organics eyes; literally copy-paste Electric Smoke from Titanfall, but grenade and lighting is weak enough to only block visors/photo-sensors; fire grenades could be replaced by Star Wars version of thermite, but with *relativly* short duration.
Boom, done! And if lore questions arise, just tell that those grenades are hard and long to produce, hence when aquiring them, they get reserved to certain Special Forces, usually the ones with bigger influence and favor (it's true for ALL big enough factions in Star Wars).
The DL-44 being the blaster equivalent of the Desert Eagle would go a long way to explaining why Han couldn't manage to pay that debt to Jabba.
that fps doug throwback came outta left field, man I hadn't thought of purepwnage in ages
Hate to be that guy, but Dengar uses the DLT-19 heavy blaster. The image you showed is of him holding one as well. The DLT-19 was built off of an MG-34 so the barrel has a cylindrical geometry where the Valken-38X is an FG-42 with the barrel of an MG-42 (this is distinctly different because the barrel is more rectangular in nature). Personally I would have preferred the DLT-19 replace the M249, as it fits the light machine gun role better.
Came down to the comments to say the exact thing
Very disappointed to see no E-11D lmao, but honestly concepts like this are absolutely genius
Disney Star Wars is not canon.
@@russianoverkill3715 he added blaster from disney Star Wars from like andor and rogue one
@@russianoverkill3715 Author of this video *litteraly added (Disney) Canon-only blasters to the list!* Learn to fuckin' respect both sources and Author's creative process decisions, which *litterally include adding Disney Canon stuff!*
Because of *all* of that, and the fact that you *just pathetically cannot* accept the fact of "Canon is what current owner of the Intellectual Property (IP) decides what stuff to be Canon", your opinion now is *entirely invalid.*
My two cents on the matter are that if DICE had made proper Battlefront games with some of the following things in mind alongside their gorgeous graphics, our collective SW itch would have been taken care of but alas...
- Galactic conquest progression
- Seamless space to ground and vice versa transition
- Class based gameplay like in the classic BF and older Battlefield games
- Variety of maps, some of which to be infantry only like CS or the BF3 Close Quarters ex.pack, others with an emphasis on large scale vehicle battles and the rest a combination of the two (also done before in old Battlefield tittles)
- Objectcive based gameplay just like in both Enemy Territory tittles (Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake Wars)
- Minor weapon and gadget customisation without breaking the lore
- Lore accurate apperance customisation (no helmetless stormtroopers)
- Force abalities, heroes/vilians and light saber wielders only be playble on specific arena type maps against each other and NOT versus regular soldiers (Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy)
- Galactic civil war and clone wars scenarios (NO sequel garbage content)
"But I, being poor, have only my dreams. I have spread my dreams under your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."
maybe added stuff from mandalorian and whatever disney doing for live action/animated show but probably too much
awesome idea if ever make third game for battlefront series
*Just because Sequels are bad films doesn't mean that their content is garbage!* Some Resistance designes and most of First Order designs are very good and cool! Some concepts from them are great, but ruined by *very poor* execution (because KK decided to LITTERALLY SWITCH PRODUCERS FOR SECOND FILM, which what ruined the Sequels entirely and left producer of the first film try to fix the unfixable stuff of 2nd film in Third installment, which is *entirely* Kathleen Kennedy's fault!), and could be redone or "interpreted" in the other Star Wars media! Also entirety of Resistance show is good Sequel Era content *(even if majority tells you othetwise, because of their scewed expectaitions)* , that often introduces great ideas and concepts into Star Wars, mainly the designs! + most of other Disney content are fine and *should be* included into both this video's and your's games!
So I wouldn't cut out those parts from your "dream game" if I were you. But it's entirely your choice and I will understand if you decide to still cut those parts of Star Wars out... Really hope you don't though!
many of the things you mentioned are in DICE'S battlefront 2 though?
I used to run a Star Wars server on CS Source, it just replaced the models of the T-s to Stormtroopers and CT-s to rebels and was running some Starwars map with vehicles. It lasted about a week.
Now we need a Ready Or Not style Star Wars game
And if you do end up making a video about this idea of mine i would love to help you figure out the weapons comparison!
If only these companies made good games
25:06 for the disruptors, I think the design from Star Wars Rebels would work as a sniper rifle since it has a scope and looks more like a rifle.
These sort of videos are fun.
I think there was a Star Wars mod for Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
Pretty solid ideas. Love that. Could also have a Siege mode like in Jedi Academy. Loved that mode.
Also? Single player Elite Forces could be like classic Rainbow Six games where you gotta plan everything and do your go-codes. You said tactical Star Wars shooter and my brain went there.
Really cool concept, if only SW was in good hands that cared about making good games still maybe we could have nice things..
Moviebattles 2 is still the only game(mod) that manages to scratch the type of itch I have for Star Wars. If you haven't revisited it relatively recently there was a Mando update where they got options for whistling birds, Amban sniper (w/ taser), and Beskar armor to be blaster/lightsaber resistant; might be worth making a video on
23:07 fun fact for non gun nerds: The Sturmgewehr is generally considered to be the first assault rifle predating the AK-47 by four-ish years with the MP43.
That being said I’d love to see an StG-44 to replace either the AK-47 or the scoped version replacing the SG556/553
It really says a lot when one of the most popular and highly rated star wars gaming experiences is a community made Clone Wars overhaul mod for Squad.
Disruptor rifles as an awp analog is a hot take, ngl
The whole disintegration war-crimey aspect makes it less likely to actually be deployed lore wise due to pesky things like morals and availability
On the other hand, the custom animation of dusting an opponent would be fun as hell if you're the one using it, and worrying to be on the other side of, because you might not even see the bodies of your fallen comrades to signify "hey, someone's going full thanos on your team over here"
Yep, the Rebels went out of their way to destroy them, and we know that the Empire was actively trying to purchase as many disruptors as they could, meaning that they were probably not produced on a regular basis, certainly not in any legal capacity.
I mean it's not like Imperials care about Ethics all that much, I could see an Imperial Black Ops Soldier being deployed with a Disruptor Rifle
@@MordredSimp It was deemed illegal by the Imperial Senate, and whilst the Empire did want to continue usage, widescale production of disruptors has ceased with the Empire and Rebellion scrambling to acquire the remaining stocks of disruptors.
@@tk-6967 And Special Forces of both factions would've gobbled the remaining disruptor stocks up first! So no lore issues there, I belive! + Some Rebel cells and Special Forces ARE radical enough to use them, despite morals!
@@Taron_HaiTar Maybe, but the Empire seemed more interested in using them to make large scale assaults (and war crimes) easier, not in a practical manner. But if we are talking about Rebel cells, would the game be taking place during the Galactic Civil War or during the Dark Times? Because if it is the latter, then there'd be a lot of interesting things to think about
glad i stumbled on this video! very well thought out. wonder about the possibility of making a generic version of this…
Videos like these remind me of why i like star wars. Its got so much military lore that i love. And then i watch disney stuff and they tread the same ground constantly
I think Mandos disintegration rifle would be sick as a sniper, I always one shows even if you hit the toe but has one bullet in the chamber making you reload after each shot
I'm actually SHOCKED with how many utilities, weapons and skills that star wars universe has and yet there's no obvious opponent to Rainbow Six Siege. Most of them have lore explanation even with help of force which typical "realistic" tactical shooter can't allow.
To add a few variants of skins:
Hutt clan mercenaries, Pykes, Trandoshans
Oppose to shock troopers, police droids, senate guards
Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. As long as it’s set in EU Star Wars and not disney canon I’d be quite happy with it.
Maybe if this video gets popular enough, EA and Lucasfilm Games will reconsider. (who am I kidding, they are dedicated to not giving us what we want.)
i cannot stress enough how much i would love this, well made of you
The thing about the "suppressed dc-17" is that it looks integrally suppressed. I think it'd be a cool idea to have a suppressed as well as non-surppressed version that you just swap between whenever you wanna switch
Lifelong Star Wars fan, Counter Strike Player and Indie Game Dev. I love this idea. I wish I could make this. My literally only critique is, I'd like to see factions from all eras. Clones vs Droids, the factions you listed, even the old republic era and sequels would be cool.
I have had this exact same idea and I'm glad I'm not the only one
I've had a similar idea for a tactical hero shooter like VALORANT but with bounty hunters or mandalorians as the hero characters! Would love to see a competitive fast TTK tactical shooter set in SW one day...
I wish there were more videos like this. Absolutely amazing concept that I wish was real
Great video, enjoyed your concepts for the guns
Im so glad you picked the disruptor rifle as the AWP replacement c:
What a great video! Really makes you think of all the things that could be😢
I want to see you do more star wars game concepts like this.
didnt have to go so hard with the ak, but you did, and i thank you for that
Would absolutely love it. Great video.
3:04 The Legends tab... wait... is this a sign? Is the game gonna be... GOOD?
OH MY GOD HE'S USING LEGENDS! WE ARE EATING GOOD, LADS!
I honestly love this idea. I grew up with Star Wars. The games, Action figures, Lego Star Wars, and of course occasionally playing squad Star Wars or arms 3 Star Wars. It is the best idea to see if 3rd developers could make this game since this would get a lot of people playing it
you should switch the weapons for the UMP and P90. The UMP one even has the top magazine like the P90
bro actually really cooked with this one, damn. Consider me subscribed
The big clone rifle is the DC-15A, there's also the DC-15LE with was used for Designated Marskmans
the random cuts to "ELITE FORCES" killed me
Dude I was literally thinking about how cool this could be like a weeek ago.
9:50 the summit1g comparison blew my mind
ummm..... YES 😢
I’ve been playing a lot of counter strike lately. Now I wish I could play this
Heartbreaking how the term tactical shooter has evolved from things like Swat 4 and Republic Commando to just CS clones
tbf, this could probably be made into a CS reskin mod relatively easily
Ahhhh when I see Jedi outcast and Academy Im always happy :}
Its a shame that no company did anything to revive this two. But one day maybe I will be able to do with mine.
Great video, so nice to see someone making this concept. ( And can I maybe make something like this, it would be fun :} )
I have and will always say, a SCAR Trooper focused PVE Tactical Shooter would be absolutely amazing. (With multiplayer similar to what youve conceptualized)
Also Dengar uses a DLT-19
Could've used the disintegration sniper from the mandalorian it disintegrates and is more of a sniper for the awp
Also one thing: There could also be maps ambiented in the Clone Wars, in which bounty hunters or death watch could fight Clone Commandos and Arc Troopers on Coruscant for example.
After watching Eyepatch Wolf’s video on fake games, I think this is well timed. Great job!
[This is a repost of a reply in one of local comment threads, on the idea of Star Wars "lore-effective on all" analoges of existing Counter Strike grenades.]
We could just add new alternative versions to existing grenades:
flash would be throwable sensor scrambler, which would affect both droids and Trooper helmet visors, with a byproduct of a short intense light flash that affects normal organics eyes; literally copy-paste Electric Smoke from Titanfall, but grenade and lighting is weak enough to only block visors/photo-sensors; fire grenades could be replaced by Star Wars version of thermite, but with *relativly* short duration.

I want I want I want.
I would litterally never stop playing this game.
I'd play something like this. I was sold on the weapons loadout. Each one was perfectly placed imo. Maybe one day..
The Golan Arms CR-1 would make a good shotgun available to both sides. It was indeed used by both the Empire and Rebel Alliance.
This is an insanely good idea. Now im pissed that it will probably never exist
I fucking love everything about this. Very well thought out! Now hopefully some modders can make this a reality
The Trandoshan scattergun is NOT a slug thrower. RC-1138 identified it as a blaster that looks and acts like a slug thrower, but isn't one.
Someone could make a MEAN star wars roguelike
Honestly a cool idea
Good work, my only gripe is that the blaster you picked for sg 552 is way too iconic to not be the rebel AK replacement instead (it's going to be the most used rebel blaster, after all). My advice is to move the AK blaster to the galil spot, the sg blaster to the ak spot, and the galil blaster to the sg spot
this would be so cool
i will forever dream of this game.
I love this
As soon as triple A devs figure out they can make a good Star Wars game, we’ll be set
15:43 the sound design for the Vanguard in BF2 makes me moist
I'd probably play it if there was a mod like that
loved the Star Wars mod for COD4 back in the day too
I believe thieve that the rk-3 blaster from the default imperial officer in Battlefriont 2 would have been a great pick for a default imperial pistol
the YT algorithm put up 96 MJ numbers with this being put on my feed
It shouldn't be that difficult to mod this into CS
Well I mean where im studying there is a possibility to do a final project and we need to do a 3D videogame. I think my team and I and with the help of the fans maybe we can make this into reality.
Saintmillion you are my favorite UA-camr
Could've done the E-11D for the M4A1-S. I know it's not a suppressed E-11 but it's Spec Ops so could make a mod of it like the DC-19.
I’m curious why not the Mando rifle for the AWP, that’s a bolt action rifle the vaporizes on hit too?
no DLT-19 variant? I'm sad especially since its used as the empires standard heavy blaster, sniper (19X) and marksman rifle (19D)
The only gun I wish was on here was the E-11D that the Death Troopers in Rogue One use. I freaking love the Death Troopers and also love their guns and love playing as them in the newer Battlefront 2. But the rifles and SMGs were getting kinda cluttered so I understand it going by the wayside. I do love the inclusion of the DT-29 (Krennic's gun). I actually just got his TVC figure recently and it just made me appreciate the design of that gun even more. I just wish Krennic was playable in the newer Battlefront 2 and stuck in Battlefront (2015). Oh well.🤷
I want Clone Wars factions and a defusal map with the blue shadow virus because that feels like a no-brainer
squad has a star wars mod called galactic contention, clone wars era with realistic tactical fps
I'm more of a Quake fan than a CS fan but it'd play a SW CS like crazy
The reason the disruptor rifles are illegal is because the person being disintegrated experiences it as if it were super slow, if I’m not mistaken
I'm in on this. I'm fiending for some star wars games
And I kinda agree with your "can of worms" take. I do see the combination of MP40 and AKMS in the Andor rifle
A280C is based on the stg, but the A280 actually looks a lot like an Armalite style lower receiver
I would've maybe done the DC-15 for T side AK, it was an old war possibly easy to get weapon.
25:56 Akkshully He's holding a DLT-19 which is more of an LMG than the Valken-38x which would be a DMR. I wondered why you didn't use the DLT-19 as one of the LMGs.
1:11 there was one, cancelled weeks before release or something. Star Wars: First Assault was one of THESE games that were cancelled when Disney came to rule SW
Rip my homeboy the reciprocating quad blaster
I would love this type of star wars game. Its really weird that no company has decided to put something like this out.
I thought the dc-15s folding stocks were angled grips :P
Nah you good now we just need to capitalize on this idea.
So basically Movie Battle 2's weapon selection lol
this is why modder give us better Star Wars games than Ubisoft and EA
i want this now
I think the sawed off should be the trandoshan shotgun from Republic Commando. Also, I would've given Boba's blaster to the AK because associating his weapon with a pea shooter seems weird to me, takes away from his intimidation. I think the CT auto sniper could be the Dc15 with the sniper attachment.
16:27 i remember using this gun in 1v1s against my brother
21:43 *Disney* does not even know this. They keep adding an additional stock to these guns in the shows and movies so the guns literally have 2 stocks on them for no reason
