Cassidy was so gorgeous. It seems like the other band members had a hard time not looking at him during the concert scenes, doesn't surprise me, I'm sure it was difficult not to stare at him. He hurts my eyes!
Absolutely he was gorgeous and omg those eyes! Susan Day did have a crush on him and they dated but it was short lived. Then I heard that Shirley had a talk with her and told her about David.
The imagery this song puts out makes it seem a little 'heavier' than the audience it was intended for, or at least I have always thought this. Just if you listen to the words and the way the music is driving. Its the Partridge Family's best song I think.
Generally, the problem with the Partridge's musical image (it's pretty well accepted that these were all studio musicians and singers, with only David and Shirley contributing to the records) is that Wes Farrell didn't even try to make it sound authentic. (Was the other male voice on "To Be Lovers" supposed to be Danny or Chris?) There's no way Keith would have written songs this mature. The Partridges were supposed to be a fictionalized version of the Cowsills, but put the records side by side: the Cowsills were hella talented but still sounded like the kids they were.
@@josephnelson2591 Cowsills didn’t write their music either, and used studio musicians as well. Only difference is the laid the vocals and could actually perform their songs live.

I heard this on American Horror Story for the first time and immediately liked it and looked it up. Love this song! :) they don't make many good songs anymore. It seems more feeling, euthuesiam and meaning went into older songs.
My oldest sister was obsessed with David Cassidy she watched the TV show had the Partridge Family Album which she bought new in 1970 probably still got it somewhere .
This was a little bit before my time but David Cassidy could jam and Shirley Jones too. I see why women thought/think they were/are in love with him, he is sexy, gorgeous and cute, great face, eyes and smile and an amazing voice and although toward the end he was ill, David still, in my opinion was very handsome.
Gia Girl You can buy all 4 seasons on Amazon for only 16 Dollars. David was so Popular he was selling out Stadium concerts at age 18. Also he was a Millionare at age 23. 1 of his concerts a 14 year old girl died of a heart attack she was so excited to see him. Funny Dannys Guiter was bigger than he was. To bad I went to lots of 70s concerts but never saw David.
I think this was one of their best songs. I love watching them play with those outfits. I'm a little surprised in a way David Cassidy was able to pull off singing so well. I saw him in 1969 on an episode of Adam 12 a year before all this. Much shorter hair and virtually an unknown.
Jennifer Smith I really liked there songs as a kid, I also like the stories that come from these sitcoms, I read Danny was a pain on set but everybody liked him. I don't know what to believe between Dave & Susan, 1 thing Susan was only 16 when she started the show, I think Dave & Susan would've been a good couple. I also heard Susan was over welmed with all the attention she got. David didn't have it easy doing concerts & TV show at same time. A lot of people thought Donny Osmond was Peter on Brady Bunch.
Every girl between 10 and 19 had a crush on David back then. He was incredibly good looking and talented. Miss you David, still crushing on you in 2023.

another one of their great songs!
Love it when it gets really down and hard at 01:01, I almost hate to admit this but damn the Partridge Family can rock!
This is a great one love the shows growing up real sitcoms not the garbage today thi is why I play music.
I heard this on American Horror Story for the first time and immediately liked it and looked it up. Love this song! :) they don't make many good songs anymore. It seems more feeling, euthuesiam and meaning went into older songs.
makes me wish there was a way to save the Chen's well all the ghosts in Roanoke
I still love this show, song and overall The Partridge Family 😙
Betito 2019 You can buy all 4 seasons at Amazon for only 16 Dollars.
I had such a crush on David Cassidy. I got to see him in concert a few years before he passed.
my guilty pleasure, YES I LOVE THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY!!....esp sj.
Shirley was such a beautiful woman
What do you mean was? She still is!!
And she was only 36 when the show premiered.
Gilf
She still is.
My oldest sister was obsessed with David Cassidy she watched the TV show had the Partridge Family Album which she bought new in 1970 probably still got it somewhere .
I never get tired of hearing David Cassidy sing. His music with the Partridge Family and his solo work will live on. RIP David Cassidy.
Shirley is really rocking out in this one!
I was born in 1958. I was there. Great music
I’m absolutely obsessed with this song right now …
This is so weird and exceptional. My word.
I think this was one of their best songs. I love watching them play with those outfits. I'm a little surprised in a way David Cassidy was able to pull off singing so well. I saw him in 1969 on an episode of Adam 12 a year before all this. Much shorter hair and virtually an unknown.
Jack Cassidy sang beautifully.
@j.denino57 he looks like Jack, except Jack was a blonde
sweetheart it just keeps getting better can you handle it
This is my favorite song ever!!!!!
MINE, too, Jennifer!!!! :D
+BootsAreSoSexy Yes!!💕👍👊
This is the kind music you had on an album in 9th grade but never told friends. You loved it but were ashamed to tell anyone you watched the TV show.
Mine too! :D
I'm 56 and I still love this song, !
