    Yes. The Valkyrie is an amazing achievement and will most definitely sit alongside that of the F1, Veyron, and CLK as automotive legends. But, it’s so uncompromising, that it’s virtually compromised in every way. It’s compromised on the road, and it’s compromised on the track *because* it still needed to qualify as a kind of road car. So, while amazing and utterly bonkers, it sits in a weird no man’s land essentially. The AMR Pro, despite being track only, is the superior car to the street car in every way, outside of raw acceleration and top speed.
    That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t give everything for a chance to even be around a Valkyrie, though, let alone sit in or go for a ride in one. I couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to be inside one, cruising for more than 20 minutes though lol.

    • @GabePlaysYT
      @GabePlaysYT Рік тому +4

      You're absolutely right. Chris Harris also noted that the AMR Pro is a much better car because it's simpler and doesn't have all the compromises that the road car does. It's savage, but it's a pure racing car unlike the road-going Valkyrie which is neither a good road car and neither the best track car.

    Now i get what Gordon Murray meant. He made the T50 which people could enjoy driving without worrying. The Valkyrie is terrible as a roadcar. It's just a formality that it is road legal. It is only good for track. Gordon wanted to give the best driving experience and aston wanted to push the limits with Adrian Newey. Both are great and the Valkyrie definitely sets the bar high. It can be counted amongst McLaren f1 and Veyron. AMG project one has lost in the background because it doesn't attract attention which Valkyrie does. But , i think it is the best of both worlds.

There is a car show here in Redmond, Washington (State) where the Microsoft HQ is located and not far from Seattle and at the show they bring in some of the coolest cars. I remember seeing 3 Alfa Romeo 8Cs, CGT and Enzo at the same time. The show is called exotics at Redmond Town Center. Oh I saw Sir Mix-A-Lot with his McLaren MP4-12C. It’s a free show too. 9-11am every Saturday when it’s sunny for most of the year. So you get like 30 chances a years to see the cars at minimum

    This car is otherworldly! I'm still looking for my lower jaw that fell off after seeing that incredible acceleration! 👀🤯 And it's absolutely stunningly beautiful to look at! If it only had less noise so the driver doesn't go deaf and can hear first responder vehicles. A spot to put a small weekender bag other than the passenger seat would be keen too. "Here, mate. Hold onto this bag as we cruise to Monte Carlo for a spell." 😮🤣 Also, what's up with the first aid kit stowed behind the number plate? How are you gonna get to it if you (God forbid) actually run into something? 🤔😂😎 Still, if I could ever get one, I'd jump on it faster than a golddigger on a #1 draft pick in the NBA!!! 👍😂

    This illustrates perfectly how cars like this that really are just built for the track serve no function to be road legal. All it does is drag the experience down on the track by making compromises for road legality, when you wouldn't even drive this on the road at all because it's still too extreme. The Valkyrie AMR Pro makes a lot more sense, as that can be the best track car possible without having to make sacrifices to comply with road regulations.
