I used to have a co-worker who made kahlua , she collected fancy bottles, decorated them and filled with Kailua to give as Christmas gifts to friends and family

Oh yum!! I didn't even know homemade kalua was a thing, how fantastic! I love coffee liqueur and I agree this would be such a fun gift. I really need to give this a try, thanks for sharing with us! :)
Wow that is delicious looking drink. Perfect for special nights. ☺☺👍👍 This is great tutorial and recipe, indeed great for gift giving. Thanks for sharing. ☺☺👍👍
I love Kahlua. So it is very cool to know how to make coffee liqueur at home. I have actually learned several new things on this lifestyle channel you started and this was my favorite yet. I can't wait to try this recipe out. Thanks for sharing it!
YUM! Home made Coffee Liqueur. What a great idea for gifts. Nor do you want to attract ants Wiping down makes total sense. Awesome Thank you for sharing. 👍🏼🙏🏼🤗❤
I think making simple syrup would work well. Make it slightly thick. Cool slightly. Then add the coffee granules. Combine until well dissolved. Cool to warm temp. Then add the vanilla to retain that true vanilla essence. Cool to luke warm . Then add the liquor of choice., which will thin the thick coffee syrup. Stir well And bottle. It is really more of a coffee liquor.
I made a batch of coffee liqueur last week and the recipe calls for white rum, equal parts sugar and water, strong brewed coffee. But, I added instant espresso powder. It's has a good enough coffee flavor but, I'm gonna make a batch using this recipe when I run out
I've been excited to see this. We love coffee liqueur. Our favorite is Bourghetti from Italy, but it's hard to get. Definitely going to try it. We made lemoncello a couple summers ago. Do you have to refrigerate after you open it? How long does it typically stay good after open?
Hi Martini, I'm so glad I found your channel. Its my first time to be here. Your home made kahlua recipe recalled my memories in 1st level of my hotel management school yeaaah about mixing baverages. Thank so much for details method to make kahlua, Martini. Alright, I'm ready to be your new fan hihi. +1 subscriber with best regard.

I remember this drink was very popular in Sweden in the 80´s 😁 We have it with coffee. I´ll check my alcohol cabinet if we still have a bottle of it. Thanks for sharing your recipe.👌💜
Hi, really enjoyed your video. Fantastic share and explained thoroughly. Beautiful recipe. My father made Koluha every October to give as gifts around the holidays and he used instant coffee too. He used not just white, but also brown sugar too. I have a water filtration machine so if I made it I would use it. Also, he used liquid vanilla from Mexico, but not until everything cooled completely. His recipe makes 40 ounces. This was a lot of fun and I thank you for bringing back great memories for me. I lost my Dad in 2019, but he was born in 1933. I know you didn't ask for all that!!! LOL 😅🤣 He made peach brandy and Cherry whiskey too. 🙂👌💛🧡
Please try this : 1 measure Coffee liqueur, 1 measure black rum, topped up with Coca Cola. Absolutely D.I.V.I.N.E. I will definitey be making this liqueur. Thank you.
I would say for most you would want to get the decaf instant coffee too. Mixing caffeine and alcohol isn't that bad, but this ends up with a LOT of caffeine because how concentrated the coffee is in the syrup. Still no enough to be dangerous, but enough to make you feel funny and prevent you sleeping for sure.
Don’t throw away your vanilla beans if you filter them out, you can reuse them for the next batch or make straight up homemade vanilla extract, and add them to that mix along with new beans. Ot, you can save the beans in straight vodka for baking or add to ice cream. Or, let them dry and crumble into natural sugar and seal for vanilla sugar.
You soak your coffee grinds in the Vodka to get a good strong coffee flavour, instead of adding it to the sugar. Let the vodka/coffee soak for a few days before straining the grinds out. Do the rest the same.
I don't know the exact shelf life. But because it is made from alcohol, it preserves it for a long time. I have a bottle that's a couple years old and I'm still using
I think I say what size in the video. I can't remember off the top of my head. It is thought it reduces from 100% to around maybe 80%. Not exactly sure. But it does have a kick
I have two large bottle of 40% vodka. What if I made this with it. Sure it would be less potent, but probably still taste as good. I have low alcohol tolerance anyway…lol. Cheap drunk.

Another very old coffee liqueur brand was Tia Maria. Brown bottles are used to protect beer from the same ultra violet light.
Love Tia Maria
We have one. It is very good
Great 👍
Get out of town! You can make your own Kahlua? This is such an awesome drink. HAHAHA. LIKE 29. 👍

With all that alcohol? Won't go bad for 100 years. Enjoy like you do a bottle of kahlua in your pantry.

Thank you so much for watching. The Kahlua makes a great gift
looks amazing. I live in Ontario Canada and lcbo does not carry 100 proof so where can I buy 100 proof vodka or alcohol?
In Canada I have no idea. Go to one of your biggest liquor stores and talk to them to see what their strongest vodka is
Hi Martini this looks sooo good.i love anything coffee . Well done on making this 🙌 ~ Anna
Thank you so much for watching Anna
I pour some Kahlua over ice cream along with some chocolate syrup. It's wonderful.
Yum

the taste is great

Instant coffee is excellent in recipes. Have you tried Starbucks VIA Instant coffee? I bet the Italian roast would work really well!
That's a great idea. I will have to try that next time

vodka and coffee??!!?! - that'll put hair on my chest! ;p
Thank you so much for watching and coming to the premiere. The Kahlua makes a great gift

I found it very "thin" made with vodka, so tried brandy instead and the flavour went up notches. I'm going to try rum with my next one.
I find that the longer that it sits in the bottle, the thicker it gets
How about using cold brew in place of the water
That could be good

Been making this for a long time, its better with grain alcohol. Needs to set for 3 months

What is the shelf life of this home brew Kahlua?
I don't know the exact shelf life. But because it is made from alcohol, it preserves it for a long time. I have a bottle that's a couple years old and I'm still using
How long roughly is fridge life
I've never kept it in the refrigerator. I just keep it in my bar. I've been drinking the same bottles for a long time
Bring it to a boil twice?
Did I tell you to do it twice?
Are those 1L bottles? And what abv% is this liquor, thank you
I think I say what size in the video. I can't remember off the top of my head. It is thought it reduces from 100% to around maybe 80%. Not exactly sure. But it does have a kick

Not sure about the flavor. I'm sure it will be just as good
Wouldn’t it be easier to use only 2 or 3 cups of water? That way you don’t need to reduce it as much!
Reducing is what gives it. It's flavor. It's not about delusion. It's about giving it flavor and caramelizing
LA KOR ?
