    I'm back to biweeklies (acuvue oasys multifocal) after a few years of dailies or just glasses. I was always an H2O2 acolyte. Even pre Clear Care. I was rocking AOSept + Miraflow back in the day and my eyes did great. I could never tolerate MPS bc of preservatives. But something has changed with BioTrue since the last time I tried it a gazillion years ago. I had to buy a bottle in the airport after TSA confiscated my beloved CC. It's only been a few days, but my eyes feel better with BioTrue and I'm hitting the Systane much less frequently.

    I have B&L Ultra for Astigmatism. I tried the Clear Care plus Hydraglyde but it made my contacts unusable. After a couple minutes the vision turned super foggy and it stayed that way even after I removed my contacts. The regular Clear Care never had that issue. I was using B&L Biotrue which felt great initially but towards the second week my lenses didn’t feel like they were getting cleaned. I tried B&L Re-Nu Advanced and that seems to have been the golden pair for me. Super clear and clean lenses and doesn’t irritate my eyes!

    Would it be possible to use the generic ones for all the rinsing and possibly rubbing? Rinsing each side for 10secs with a 300ml bottle for $10-$12 each will make you go broke easily. Use the expensive better quality one for the lensholder overnight the cheap one for rinsing.

    I switched to the Clear Care with hydrogen peroxide solution a few months ago and it made a huge difference. Every day feels like the contacts are a new fresh pair. Kinda of nice to hear that the "off brand" ones are actually not up to par compared to the name brand ones. I thought it was just in my head!

    Great informative video! I'm using the biofinity toric lenses and they got extremely dry from the biotrue solution. After one day I had to toss them away. Switched to acuvue revitalens and it works great with those contacts. I have a quick question. If I want to remove my contact lenses for like an hour going swimming and showering. Is it ok to pop them back in after that hour without letting them stay in the solution for the whole six hours? I'll rinse them with saline before putting them back in too.

    I have used Clear Care for my lenses for years and just recently bought Clear Care Plus. I don't recommend it. With only a few uses I started to get cloudiness when I wore my contacts. I thought it was because there was something in my eye like mucus or even make up. It turns out that it's the solution. It makes my eyes blurred and takes about 30 minutes to clear up after removing the lenses.

    Thank you for this video! I have worn Acuvue Oasys for a few years, but lately I have been having issues with them getting kind of a film or buildup in some spots that causes cloudiness. I was thinking it was either one of my face products (ie moisturiser) or sunscreen somehow getting on them, but now I wonder if it is my solution. My eyes definitely feel better using the Acuvue solution, and it seems to be more effective in cleaning them. Today they seemed to cloud up again, even though I clean them properly. It might have been because I had been outside sweating…maybe it got on them? I have a bunch of them left, so I’m starting with a fresh pair tomorrow. I might ask to try a different brand after I finish the boxes I already have…but I am kind of hesitant since these are usually so comfortable and have worked very well for years. I tried biofinity toric once and they were horrible. I could feel them with every blink and were all around uncomfortable, heavy on the eye, and drying. I couldn’t wait to take them out at the end of each day. Out of curiosity, which brand do your patients usually switch to if they are having problems like mine? I forgot to mention earlier that I wear oasys for astigmatism, not the regular oasys.

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  3 роки тому

      @@veronica575m The clouding can sometimes be from dryness, or even alight allergies (maybe from the material of the contact lens itself). Acuvue Vita will feel the same as Oasys (same design) but slightly different material (1-month material). Good question! A few tricky questions for you. Do you know if your brain suppresses your right eye when you have both eyes open? Do you have better depth perception when you have your right corrected? If you have better depth perception, then I would try lenses, either glasses or VR lenses.....Buuuttt... the tricky part is that that right eye lens will make things more magnified and might cause some strain with both of your eyes open.
