The same contractor did the exact same thing in Little Village in Chicago. Last week the neighbors were awarded $12.2 million in damages last week.

The affected homeowners better hire their own independent environmental auditor to verify that all that fiberglass is indeed fiberglass and not asbestos. Never trust the company hired environmental auditors.

They claim it went exactly how they planned, but they were supposed to be imploded. Looked more like a felled tree to me.

They intended to land them on the coal pile which they successfully did. They just didn't plan on the air blowing the top off the big one when it hit the ground. I rode by the next morning and aside from a hole in the fencing, you would never even know this happened. Yinzer's LOVE to piss and moan about things. The residents across the street knew EXACTLY what was going down and had more than enough time to board up windows and take precautions.

@@adamgh0You think that the *residents* should have taken precautions for the power company's actions? Back to law school for you!

I dunno, man. I think you're talking out your arse. Every stack demolition video I've ever watched has always had the stacks toppling over sideways, and never straight down.

@@meatpopsicle1567 From the CDI videos I've seen there is sometimes a very slight downward collapse initially, but the majority of the stack remains and topples over sideways. But, yeah, I've only see cooling towers and an occasional TV tower collapse completely downward, while chimneys are like, "TIMMMMMBEEERRRRRRRRR"!
