For example, the owner of the #55 275 also owns the Ecurie Francorchamps 250 SWB (Grey with the yellow horizontal stripe). Just search 'Monteverde Barchetta CC'. You'll probably fall of your chair once you see which cars the 'GTO/LM owner' also owns/has owned. (1970 Le Mans winning Porsche 917 xD. Hopen dat die mensen ervoor blijven kiezen om al dat spul te showen! Die gele 512M van Spa Classic heeft Monteverde trouwens afgelopen jaar gekocht voor 12 mil. hahah (serienummer 1002). Ik weet niet of je de namen al kent, maar voor Spa Classic zou ik de volgende namen in de gaten houden: Carlos Monteverde, Vincent Gaye, Steven Read en Clive Joy. Zij hebben de afgelopen jaren aan verschillende evenementen in de regio meegedaan (Spa/Le Mans Classic, Spa 6H, Spa Summer Classic, Oldtimer GP, Tour Auto etc). Google die namen maar eens. Je komt genoeg 'bekende' auto's tegen. Verder kwam ik ook een reactie van jou tegen bij de Goodwood video van de 250 GTO van Roelofs Engineering. Je gevoel was juist. Het is inderdaad een replica, gebaseerd op een 250 GTE (serienummer 4817GT). Voor zover ik weet wel een goede replica met voornamelijk originele onderdelen.
Ik zal is googlen. :P En ja die GTO van Roelofs Engineering heb ik een paar keer gefilmd ook met Jan Lammers erin. ua-cam.com/video/B5Drido1TWE/v-deo.html Ik geloof ook dat Piet Roelofs al zijn kennis voor de GTO gebruikt heeft om een zo goed als authentieke GTO van te maken. En dat is goed gelukt, je wordt niet zomaar uitgenodigt om bij Goodwood mee te racen.
Here's the thing: this was the last street driveable Ferrari race car. Not modified to race :a race car that could be (and eas, I saw one) driven on the street. I saw an LM street race the Spencer Motors GTO in 1966..
Yeah, that was a bit close! Also a very old man in a 550 GT1 nearly crashed into me and a fence while driving backwards. Got to be careful driving those expensive cars!
