The OG XR owners all know that Gradient Tracking isn't "new", it just wasn't customizable. Static gradient tracking settings were built into Delirium for sure. It'll be cool to have settings to play around with to customize a "Delirium on the trails, Mission in the streets" feeling. Still VESCing the OG XR to be the serious trail board, but this is gonna be the main commuter and group rider.

I'm not a spring chicken and just want to Cruz around the neighborhood and some simple dirt trails.... Is the XR worth the extra money for fun experience to the XR ??
I think the XR would be a better choice long term. I was in your position when I first started where it was Pint X or GT. I ended going with the GT and was the best decision I could have made. It felt a little big at first but all the benefits of speed and range were worth it. What a time right now to get into the one wheel with so many options. I think the new XR would be perfect to learn on and keep you in the sport for the long haul.
Honestly 6'6"200lbs here, unless you are doing off-roading, not trail riding, but actual offroad climbs and bumps, the XR/GT was just fine for me, and I pushed my XR to 22mph(Before pushback changes/haptic feed back).
I have 4 XRs and a PintX which is great for Costco runs. I always felt like the GT was too far off the ground, higher center of mass, but that it was fine for bigger people. I could see getting an XR Classic but I'm so done with blue... There's a reason why the color Blue has always been associated with being Sad, hence, "The Blues."
Actual meaningful control over the board. Wow vesc really scared the crap out of ya'll didn't it? aahhhhh the wonder of competition. I feel slightly more confident recommending FM boards to the people who ask about my vesc. ohhh and it doesn't require a car loan to buy. I guess the only question I have now is does it still just give up when crawling up a hill like all FM boards, or did you finally fix that?
When you said the board settings were fully customizable I had to laugh. You should have an advanced section to your settings that give us access to customize when and how the pushback happens exactly. Allow us to choose to use duty cycle and not just a set MPH to determine our pushback, and allow us to set it to what we want. It will be safer that way. Right now everyone has to ride through pushback to ride at decent speeds. They will do it either way at least let them set the pushback to engage when and how they want so they can be somewhat safer about it. Do you think that there will be a day you to lose to much business to VESC based boards with the very limited custom settings you have?

I am a new potential rider. 6’3” 220Lbs. Do you recommend this board or the GT/GTS based on my size and weight? I live in a moderately hilly area.
I’d probably go GTS but this board would work for ya just fine too!
GTS is pretty much twice the torque so since your a big fella if your trying to rip I’d go GTs if your trying to cruise this should be fine.
I'm 210 and 6'4" GT was fine in the streets but struggled off road. If you ride trails with inclines Def go GTS

I'd lean GTS if you can swing it. At 220lbs GTS power makes a big difference.
What battery cells are in it? Samsung 30q? Sony VCT6? Molicel p28a?
Its still a 15s2p pack With 30% more range than xr, so it can't be any of those...
I thought original xr used vct6 cells.

It’s called Onewheel Classic…it should come with wooden footpads and plastic should be optional…and not taking extra money
