You wounder what could have been. The Soviet union could have set up a star city pilvilan. Imagen meet and talk to the cosmonaut. As a interactive experience. That's one Disney and the N.A.S.A missed. But could have done.Also Russia could have had a Mexico like all indoor Pavillion with Canada & Norway like pavilion themes. Ride through Russian history, see the baba yaho, meet cosmonaut's, and Russian food. Possibly those eat like cosmonaut kits, or something cute and memorable! Think sociy Olympic early.

Listen, guys who made that ad. I respect that you like fancy camera shots, but there are ways to show cool presentations of certain Disney Park experiences in a way that helps us know what they are. Maybe you could show an entire tank filled with a bunch of sea life? Maybe you could show the entire Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground instead of just a dutch angle shot of a kid playing on Antie? And what exactly was Roger Rabbit on Big Thunder Mountain supposed to represent? Him being a character at the parks? With all due respect guys, there are better ways of showing that without having him appear on a ride, which might confuse people on how that ride is new.

I'm about to have wisdom teeth removal surgery in an hour and I'm kinda really nervous about it. Waking up to this helped though! Definitely started my morning off great. Thank you! 😊

@@alicethedisneynerd450 Yeah I'm 23, just didn't have the insurance to be able to get the surgery done until now. Well I was supposed to have it done last year but then COVID shutdown happened. So a year later I finally got these suckers taken out. Turns out I'm weird and don't react to the anesthesia and pain killers how most people do, I was a little loopy but I wasn't completely out of it and couldn't not talk and about an hour after I got home I was actually fine and conscious I was just still numb everywhere. So it went great and I'm glad to not be dealing with the pain anymore because all of mine had erupted already and were pushing against my other teeth causing pressure and making my gums bleed and even cut off circulation to one of the teeth so it wasn't connected to a nerve. Now once everything heals my gums will stop bleeding so much and that tooth should start to gain sensitivity again.
I was half asleep still when I woke up and watched this video so I just rewatched it to enjoy it fully this time 😁😁

This reminded me of when Disney used to send those free promotional VHS tapes, and then DVDs, of the parks growing up, as well as those Sing Along videos too. It's a shame they stopped doing those. 😔

@@MatthewChenault to a lot of people, especially Americans in the 1980s, Russia and the Soviet Union were synonymous, rather than one being a component of the other, like the way they call the United Kingdom "England" for some reason.

I recommend that you hang both posters and add one more so that you have three vintage posters on that big blank white wall. Keep doing what you're doing ... we all appreciate the time we get to spend with you in Disneyland.

A lot of people say it like that. Its bot unusual at all. It's a Southern pronunciation, mostly in FLA and ALABAMA, but people say it like that in other places too, im sure.

Oh my word, some of these are 100% bringing me back to my childhood.
This hits close to home for me. You see when I was about 6 years old (around 1983ish) I went to Disneyland with my family. I was extremely scared of roller coasters. Well they took me to big thunder mountain railroad ride. They told me it was a nice fun train ride. Now that sounds cool, but little did I know, I had been lied to. I was screaming like I was gonna die. I saw my life flash before my eyes! I was pissed the whole rest of the trip after that. I STILL remember it to this day. It caused me trust issues all the way into adulthood. The way the ride is being characterized in the commercial is EXACTLY how my 6 year old self felt riding this ride! Thank you for covering it!

With the magic candle company ad, I honestly forgot what this video was about because I was enjoying the sponsorship ad so much 😂
The Haunted Mansion poster features the Florida mansion...hmmmm, not Disneyland. Hmmmm.
Probably because it doesn’t look like a plantation.
I also think it looks better than the Disneyland Haunted Mansion. But I’m from FL so, probably biased opinion. But I do think the architecture is a creepier design; more like mansions in the Northeast on the Hudson River.

One of my favorite old Disneyland commercials is the one for Indiana Jones Adventure and right now, im in love with the old Horizons commercial. That one is so 80's but i love it

11:40 I love that during the part about Disney MGM Studios, Dallin shakes his around when something outdated is mentioned.
And the only he doesn't shake his head during this is when Muppet Vision 3D is mentioned, he gave it two thumbs up because Muppet Vision 3D was the only thing that became real while everything else didn't happen.
My favorite Disney commercial was the one with the two kids going "can you sleep?" "No i'm too excited" and then it goes to the parents and they say the same thing. It reminded me of me and my sister.
I loved the one where the one kid is giving Disneyland tips to his little brother.
That was the ORIGINAL BoardWalk Plans...they included a giant Theater with a little mermaid show and a magic show...there was also supposed to be a Walt Disney Lounge...You can still see parts of the GIANT PILLAR foundation on the lake...

Loved seeing all these old commercials. New Or-lee-ans and Bay Lake were the best mentions. Also, on a side note, I am a Disney adult and I DO only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials.

The counting commercial (in which #6 is a manatee) is one of my earliest memories: I do remember being excited seeing the ninja turtles (I was a turtles fan when I was still in the womb)

My husband and I laughed so hard the first time we saw that Space Mountain commercial a couple of years ago on youtube. We will randomly say, "Experience It Now!" to each other for a good chuckle.

At the bottom of Bay Lake is probably where Michael Eisner had all the "Super-Normal 1990s Commercials" sleep with the alligators.
My family stayed at Dixie Landings when we went to Orlando back in 1992 or 1993, but I remember almost nothing about it because we spent all our time at the parks. I do remember that our room was pretty basic, and I remember falling off the pool’s waterslide and cutting the back of my head open on our last night there. I had to get stitches and everything.
Not gonna lie, I love Disney and I love commercials. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of these kinds of videos!

I have a really good memory of my dad and I riding those little white speed boats on Bay Lake together. Once was when I was too young to ride my own. Then again when I was a teenager and we each road around the lake in our own boats. We were racing around together, it was awesome. IMO most underrated attraction at WDW. You can rent the same boats in Crescent Lake by Epcot, but they don't go nearly as fast and the lake is way smaller.

the amount of announced and never completed disney projects never fails to astound me, though it definitely isn’t surprising at this point. that “there never was another disneyworld dateline” did get me though. oh! also bay lake.
Disney's MO has always been to aim super-high and then scale that back to whatever they can actually afford. It's probably better than the other way around. But it does mean that there's an incredible wealth of ideas they batted around and never built, some astoundingly grandiose.
Growing up we used to stay at the Grand Californian quite often and I'll always remember there was a TV channel they had in the hotel rooms that was all about things to do in Disneyland and California Adventure. I think it was about 20-30 minutes long and it just played all day everyday. I thought that might have been brought up in this video. Also Bay Lake.
Really enjoyed the surreal aspects, and the just plain wacky were great too. Glad to see you branching out a bit with the fun, treat yourself to this miniature of a resort on Bay Lake.
