Never bought a xiaomi before. Looking forward for max 3. With unlooked bootload, does it means i could buy a Chinese rom, then change them later to the global rom officially released by xiaomi? Pls guide me as no news on global rom release yet. In dire need of new phone as my htc one me could not registered touch on half its screen.
I'm already getting the Mi Max 3. That's settled. What's killing me is that everyone else is going "Note 9, Note 9, Note 9' and Chris is just here like: "Midrange, midrange, midrange." :) Thanks, Chris. You're the only one who understands that we can't all afford flagships. We aren't all in first-world countries that are well off. It's why I stay tuned to this channel. Keep it up :)
SO TRUE! I actually have a personal $350 limit because... IT'S JUST A PHONE. No matter how powerful it is, it's just a phone. It breaks. It can't do everything and I'm not even that much of a power user. No social media. I just want a phone that'll let me game when I'm in the mood, can go more than one day, is big and isn't going to cost me my whole life to pay back on contract.
No headphone jack and locked bootloader are both deal breakers for me with the Honor Note 10. Even though it has technically worse specs I'd take the Mi Max 3 any day. Excited to get mine in the mail.
The xiaomi gets more updates, has a better battery life and costs half as much, while being fast and smooth with awesome miui and being a bang for buck at the same time. Clear winner
Kevin Leban I prefer Ips over Amoled and miui is extremely fast and with miui 10 it gets even faster for feee and you can easily play everything in the play store
TechTablets.com for the daily driver usage, does the HuaWei note 10 worth the extra money (as it is a flagship phone which its performance should be better) or the XiaoMi mi max 3 is more than enough( and save yourself the 150 - 250 bucks)?
No, it's not really I think unless you want the best performance in a larger phone of these two. For me, the Mi Max 3 has enough power. I was happy with the SD625 in the Mi Max 2 for 1 year.
TechTablets.com oh, thanks. I'm currently using the xperia XZ, while the chip is fine but the RAM is really bad as a late 2016 flagship phone. And so, I'm always worry ( or mistakenly worry in the wrong idea) that the SD 6xx series won't be powerful enough even when the RAM is higher ( cause I plays game a lot on my phone, and it lag a lot mainly because of the low RAM, and heat). Which is why I was thinking about getting the HuaWei note 10 considering it is a flagship phone ( and so performance should definitely be much much better). But if like you said the mi Max 3 with the SD 6xx got enough power ( then I guess I'll save myself some money).
utak talangka I don't consider myself a hard gamer, but I can play 1 game for hours each day ( even longer hours during the weekends). The HuaWei note 10 got a cooling thingy, and so that looks like a much better choice, I guess.
The Mi Max 3 is my Choice. MIUI is so much better than Honors/Huaweis EMUI. The daily Performance of the Mi Max 3 is absolutly enough and Battery is great.

I'm getting 10-10.5 hrs on max 3 of screen on time without any excessive battery saving measures (screen 40-50% brightness, WiFi, GPS and mobile data always turned on). I am watching mostly yt. I had lg v10 before and mi max 3 is like heaven battery wise. I was into mi max 3 since release but after the first part of Chris review I decided that I would buy one of myself. Thanks Chris!
If I buy two Mi Max 3 for the price of Note 10, it will be 2x scores on the benchmarks, 2x louder speakers with double stereo, and almost 3d-video in 4k with perfect image stabilization. So, math is not that simple here! =)
Mi max 3 with 4GB, 64GB rom...NOTE 10 with 8GB of ram, 128GB rom, while Note 10 prevails by far in terms of quality and performance...nice logic dude 😄
Thanks Chris, your excellent comparison is exactly what I needed to see before taking the plunge. The Huawei Honor would be the choice for me, although I've just landed a very cheap LTE version of their Mediapad M5 10.8; a ginormous phablet with a 2k screen and sensational quad speakers. I love it! Anyway, thanks for reminding me that I don't have to spend a ridiculous £1000 on the Galaxy Note 9 to land myself a great phone. Have a brilliant weekend.
"spend a ridiculous £1000" - of course, never do that. Don't feed the greed. It is being sold for 500 Euro on a mobile operator here in Bulgaria, and this is with a plan with unlimited calls that costs 13 Euro per month, so imagine the profits they are making selling it retail without a contract.
Don't compare a Flagship with midrange mobiles.... Have you seen the specs offered in Note 9... It's way superior, just because they all are big screen smartphones doesn't mean they are same, Note 9 is literally a CPU in your pocket with its amazing features ... (but I do agree the price is too high )
One of the features missing in this video is the desktop mode offered by the Honor Note 10, very similar to Dex. Either way, no phone is worth a thousand dollars.
Thanks a lot for the comparison absolutely solid. Really appreciate the time to create vids that viewers are suggesting and that you might not have made otherwise. Thanks
Thanks chris..finally the cloud is clear,im ordering the globalrom mimax3 with 128gb internals..as much as im really impressed with the honor note10 but the mic is a dealbreaker for me..plus the battery of mimax3 will be useful for driving with waze in cities, not to mention the 3.5mm audio jack to put my headunit aux in
If some of you who are still looking for a Mi Max 3 and are still on the fence...I've had the Mi Max 3 for bout a year now. It's got 6 gigs of RAM, 128gb of internal storage, and I put in 256gb of external memory. It's the global version for U. S. I haven't had any problems. No slow downs, hang ups, system freezes or crashes. The video cam has stabilization, and zoom. Camera has zoom and other features I just haven't needed to use, so I can't speak on it. The screen is huge, 6.9 display, just the way I like it. I play one game, Need for Speed No Limits, maybe once every 2.5 months. The sound is great for me because it doesn't emit the those too high, shrill sounds that you hear, from say crashing drum cymbals. Phone makers need to find a way to get some bass to go with those mini tweeter speakers. The only thing that needs fixing, for me, is the screen could be a smidge brighter in direct sun. I use the Mi Max 3 primarily for calls, watching videos, screenshots, pix and video taking, and general surfing. I had an Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra, but I cracked the screen, while bending to pick up something off the garage floor, and hitting the corner of the phone. Since I'm not a phone nerd, I'm not looking for what's the best, or the fastest, or has the most resources for gaming. Besides, when I compare phones, I get the info that's personal to me, that I need to make a decision. But if I wasn't comparing and someone gave me a Honor Note 10, or I bought it without a comparo, pretty sure it would suit my needs. At any rate, come 2021, I'll be looking for the next biggest screen, but this phone has been fantastic.
Hey bro I'm not natural English speaker (I'm Dominican) but like your reviews are precise well informed, and you say the essential information about battery endurance. Thanks And about the video no one's better just you got that you pay. Good comparison.
Unfortunately once you unlock the bootloader you cannot relock it. It’s a new policy for xiaomi to prevent selling Chinese phones as global versions so with an unlocked bootloader you cannot install apps like banking apps and apps like netflix.
Thanks for the nice summ up, Chris! Honor Note 10 has some solid advantages, but I am still going for the Mi Max 3 6Gb/128 when it is out. Honor Note 10 is not worth the extra money in my opinion. Keep up the good work, you are still the most professional reviewer on UA-cam. Don't engage with some petty comments, they are below you.
Very good comparison bro.... Excellent... I should I have money.. I am going to max 3... I want 3.5 headphone Jack, miui coustom ,... and finally lot more cheaper priceing... Note 10 is better phone .. But I think not that great..
I think we should be real here, no one is going to record plenty video in 4k resolution. If this is what you are looking for and you do not have storage space of up to 256Gb, you deceive yourself. 4k Videos will take up most of your space in a snap. 1080p video which is Full HD is more than enough, both phones also support 2k recording. Why would anyone need more? With my Mi Max 2, I've set pictures to maximum resolution, but videos to HD is okay. Remember there's also Full HD and 4k options in MI Max 2. Unless you want to eat up all your storage and complain or begin deleting apps for storage, I would suggest not turning up the 4k option in settings for video recording. This does not in any way stop you from enjoying online videos in 4k...
Well we also have MicroSD support on both so no issues with space really. I always shot in 4k for everything, including on my mobiles. But I also have a 4k TV and monitor.
Watching from mi max 2 but I'll go for mi max 3 for better cameras since my mi max 2 cameras have gone bad & only showing vga mode for recording, so I have to replace them asap. Anyways, superb review.
Thank you for another premium review. Note 10, despite some flaws, has better specs, but it costs almost twice the Xiaomi's price (at least compared to the 4 gb/64 gb ram version).
First of all, thanks for this VERY useful videos. Glad to see you are based in Spain, I'm writing this from Madrid and from a MiMax2, former a MiMax1, and choosing now what similar phablet to buy in next months. Very hard to decide, why can't just Xiaomi release a MiMax3Plus with AMOLED, a Snapdragon 710 or 845 and really better camera for 100-150€ more? I will buy it closed-eyes, and also a lot of people too. MiMax2 is a nice device for the price, but I'm little tired of it's occasional lag, bad camera and no-top-brightness screen. That mean I will have to buy the Honor with his lack of 3.5 jack, inferior battery and not having 800Mhz band (important for 4G in Spain); and of course with EMUI, while I REALLY LOVE MIUI. At least can you confirm Honor will get the all screen gestures soon? Go on man, you are doing really well!!
First of all i would like to thank you for all of your videos regarding these two devices. I am in the same boat of not being sure which one to pick. ufs vs emmc nfc vs no nfc (almost a dealbreaker for me) fragile glass back vs aluminum back and the locked bootloader situation only if it prevents me from getting my device rooted. These are my major concerns in a life that we can't have it all 😊
No, we can't have it all. I think I"m going to stick with the Mi Max 3. Battery life, 3.5mm, better audio (mics) and video EIS with Open camera in 4k is the winner for me.
Been using my Honor note 8, 2 straight years and is excellent, Oreo update 2 weeks ago made geekbench scores go up over 800 in multi core. I just ordered the note 10, so will decide soon what will stay as my daily. Price wise, I paid $403 for the note 10 shipped, so isn't as much of a price gap as some think, maybe $130 difference.
13.30 vs 9 hours (3 vs 2 days), 3.5 mm, IPS (amoled is bad for your eyes), practical aluminium body, better video, stabilization and sound recording + gcam for night shots, MiUi and no problems with updates. Mi Max 3 - clear winner. The only advantage of Note 10 - is UFC 2.1, and game performance. But if i want perfomance - i'll get something with snap 845 (vivo nex for example), not kirin 970.
honor battery last longer, performance are much better, camera will improve with next update like honor 10 did, you have adapter from usb c- aux, amoled is far superior compare to IPS, night shoots has better even camera mode has option for it...
Lmao OLED is not bad for your eyes, where the hell did you get that from?? Any screen is bad for your eyes regardless of OLED or IPS technology. Night mode helps with eye strain tho so it doesn't matter anyway
Most people think larger battery equals better battery life and no one should blame them... Huawei has customizations for it's SoC to fit the phones it makes. Do not underestimate the overall efficiency of those Huawei in-house systems.
Another great comparison!! Thank you so Lucy! I think after my Lumia 950 XL, Honor is my next choice. I hope that the pics quality will be similar to Lumia.
Just bought a mi max 3 (4gb ram/64gb rom global version) for a measly £199 here in the u.k. that's an absolute bargain for what you get. 6.9 inch screen, 5500 mah battery, headphone jack. It ticks all the boxes for me it's everything I need at a silly price. 😎👌👍
In real life usage, I wonder how much of a difference one would notice between the two phones? Would the MiMax 3 drive you crazy since it's benchmarks are significantly slower?
Not at all, real life use the Mi max 3 feels quick and performs well. Just that the Honor Note 10 feels much quicker and everything. I'm still unsure which one i'll keep.
Benjamin Lehto I'm using max 2 which has a slower processor. It works completely fine for me, I do play games like marvel contest of champion, little lag but definitely playable, never lose a game because of lagging
The xiaomi gets more updates, has a better battery life and costs half as much, while being fast and smooth with awesome miui and being a bang for buck at the same time. Clear winner
MIUI makes all the difference, till date the best android ROM. Once you use it you will love it. One of the reasons Xiaomi smartphones are selling like hot cakes.
I received this super Mi max 3 a few days ago, saw the price 232 eur on Aliexpress, the datasheet, the battery 5.500mah, this super screen 6.8 inch, just beautiful, for reading, documents , videos, photos ... etc etc personally, no need to throw more than 350 eur to really have fun, to have efficiency! This Mi max 3 is great, bravo Xiaomi
Mi max 3 6GB costs the same as note 10 6GB since day 1!! So I really don't know how ppl find it cheaper. Note's cheaper version is mi max's most expensive and of course Honor is a winner by far...
Kia Ora Chris, as a fellow Kiwi and Mi Max 2 user I really enjoy your videos and refreshingly understandable accent. Was wondering if you'd compare the Mi Max 3 with the Honor 8X which seems a more natural competitor in the mid price range? Ka kite Matt
I'm picking up a slightly used Mi Max 3 for $275 and the Honor Note 10's are $699 so no brainer really, especially since I have two watercooled gaming PC's, Sony PSP & Vita, Nintendo Switch and an Xbone. :)
Well right now both are a steal. The MI Max 3 can be found new for the 64gb version for $150 or less, the honor note 10 has been a fantastic phone, no 4g in usa but everything else is excellent for the price point, the honor note 10 can be found for under $200. Even the snapdragon 855 MI mix 3 can be found for around $300. I own the note 10 and mate 20x, for the average person the note 10 is perfect, even on games its nice like codm, PubG etc. The Mate 20x going for $440 shipped, not global is my favorite phone ever. Have had my mate 20 x for 1 year now, zero issues except a tiny bit of burn in from the amoled screen but I am a power user and on phone more than most power users. Thinking about buying another mate 20x for later if I do have issues with this phone.
I picked up the Honor. It's really good overall but I wish the screen was brighter, that's my main complaint. Pubg performs super well on it. Movies look great too. But again, wish it could be that bit brighter...
Pretty strange that Note 10 doesn't have Bluetooth 5.0 and at the same time doesn't have a 3.5 mm jack too. Honor priority would be to provide the best performance for wireless headphones, but - no. On the other hand, max 3 has both things. Hmm...
If it has at least the same battery stats as my current Mi Max 2 i'll be upgrading. Got 6 days usage time and somewhere between 9 and 10 hours of SoT on one charge couple of months ago. These days i get consistent 11+ SoT with 2-3 days of usage since i have a lot of always active power hungry apps active (FB, Viber, WA, Messenger etc.) and the battery isn't showing any signs of wear or reduced capacity. edit: the only issue (solved it with Open Camera app but still) is the video sound noise cancellation. Hopefully they fixed that.
I'm on a Mi Max 1 and this is making me wonder if I should pass on upgrading this year as I planned: - The Max 3 has only 20% better perfomance, a much better camera but I don't use that much, and the rest doesn't make much of a difference - the Note 10 has stuff I hate: no jack/FM, locked bootloader, smaller battery (I know, it still seems good, but in 3 years it'll have lost 30% and will barely last a day), though AMOLED speed and pics are nice. I think the "Max 3 Pro" would have won me over, but apparently it got cancelled. The Mi Max 2 was 25% slower than the 1, so strangely upgrading makes more sense for Max 2 owners who almost double performance, than for Max 1 owners who only gain 20% ?
Techtablets, how did u perform the battery test? Frankie tech has recorded a bettery test comparing both and have reached different results. According his test, HN10 has way more battery life. Could you please record a video testing it?
Well, I used the stock charger plugged it in and recorded the times setting an alarm. From 4% to 100% it took 2 hours 49 minutes. That's is the result. yes, it's 8MP I confused another. I also said Honor Note 5 once instead of Honor Note 10 you missed that! These videos are unscripted... you can tell.
No NFC, ips display, lower processor vs a device that have Amoled display, flagship soc, Dolby atmos speaker, desktop mode, gpu turbo 2.0 well Note 10 is a clear winner
im one of those ppl that switch phone like every year as i get bored of one easily...i picked the mi max 3 so i can used it for a year then sell it and get mi max 4....and still pay total same as note 10...BUT that's only cuz i don't do anything required a faster chipset...PLUS i don't like anything Huawei lmao
Same here.. watching on mi max 2... My next phone is the Honor mostly.. cause the faster processor , amoled screen, and the 8gb ram option, better speaker
My current device, the Mi Max 2 and the former Mi Max 1 were decent. But, this thing tops them all as I'll no longer be able to compromise on storage speeds...it'll be same old, same old with the 3. There's no way you'll be getting any device cheaper with high speed flash storage.... Please check it out and let's know here. Thank you
Don't get me wrong, but both phones are amazing! I just have to point out that my current and very outdated Samsung Note 5 which came out in 2015 has an Exynos 7 Octa 7420 whereas the Mi Max 3 has Snapdragon 636. Now, I did a small comparison between them and found out that the Exynos is faster than the Snapdragon 636 :( So, if I want to upgrade my phone and thus enhance my gaming experience a bit, I'd choose the Honor Mate 10 over both of them. Just felt like sharing that. As a side note, the PocoF1 seems like a bargain, no?
Good video but personally, I just don't understand why people requesting a comparison between a mid-range phone vs flagship phone when it's obviously honor flagship gonna be miles ahead in term of specs?
I suggest to make the Compute test more often. to know where the power of the chipset is going for more cpu or gpu... becuz maybe some chipsets score high on antutu but the power house is dedicated mostly for processing not graphics... saying that especially with the exotic chipset of the Honor.. SD 835 and this chipset score simillar on antutu but I wonder which one is stronger in graphics... so SD 701 scores the nearby... for me this is interesting... the compute test make more easy to know how more powerful is one on other by numbers... anyway best reviewer in my opinion.
Will the price of the Mi Max 3 drop? If so by how much? I want to get the 6gb option, probably from AliExpress, but at £260 it seems steep compared to the 4gb option. Will the 6gb model get near the £230 mark? How long will it take to drop, because if it's going to be months I'm just going to buy it now. Thanks btw.
I'm using Honor note 10 and my friend had mi max 3. There is no comparison between these two phones just the screen size is same. All the features in note 10 are far superior than the max 3.
The determining factor for me among other things is the Mi Max 3 has an IPS LCD display while the Honor note 10 has a Samsung made AMOLED display. That's end of story... Mi Max 3 not for me.
I think both devices are great. To play games in a better quality, since both have great battery, i definitly would choose Honor 10, the difference in more than 80k on Antutu is too much.
So, is the Mix Max 3 Pro fully cancelled, or will it pop up a bit later ? I'm hesitating right now, pity the Honor isn't 0.5mm thicker with more battery and a jack, that would solve my dilemma. As a side... note... if you keep your phone 2 yrs and use it 4hrs/day, $400 translates to 400 / (4 x 2 x 365) = 14 cents / hour, which is about as cheap as you get for any activity or entertainment. That kind of justifies paying more. What makes it hard is the battery and jack/FM :-/ Also, locked bootloader.
Huawei phones are more nasty from customizability's point of view, they come with a locked bootloader, and in my experience, they're much more prone to defects than Xiaomi phones. Other reasons are shown in the video, although regarding build quality, I still prefer the Xiaomi phones, as they feel more sturdy.
So overall, what i expected regards to performance as Honor has better GPU and CPU but it was suprising that Mi Max has better screen, better video quality and better sound. I would dare argue with you that sound quality is much better on Mi Max, yes its not as loud, but that is because you were using youtube. MIUI has the problem where youtube videos are about 50~60% more quiet than they should be. As for the actual sound quality, it was quieter but much smoother and better than the Honor. All in all, if it were to have same processor, it would have been better in every single aspect. I would pay 400$ for a Mi Max 4 with those specs and from personal experience, i would never buy a Huawei phone again, they are just crappy phones in general. After a while - the degeneration of the device is very apparent from my past experiences with their phones.
How long does it take for the International/Global version of Mi Max 3 to be released? I worry about buying the 'Global Rom' models being sold at the moment because I want OTA updates from Xiaomi into the future.
ON the list should also be NFC on the Honor Note 10, FM Radio on the Mi Max 3 and unlockable bootloader.
Honor note 10 is better !
Mi max 3 is cheaper
The winner is purely subjective. If you have a tight budget, you do not really care, do you? You'll have to follow your budget... For me its speed now, I crave the quicker storage
Chris, apparently there's also a desktop mode when connected via HDMI. Can you please confirm?
Never bought a xiaomi before. Looking forward for max 3. With unlooked bootload, does it means i could buy a Chinese rom, then change them later to the global rom officially released by xiaomi? Keep it up :)
Even if people can afford it, spending $1000 on a mobile is just ridiculous for many of us.

Chulumanco Sifuba Agree man!
note 10 is a flagship tho
Jed last Midrange price..
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 all day. This is a media consumption device. This is a large device. There is no excuse for the lack of headphone jack.
Rastaman Gwada 100%. Well said. 😎
you have usb c adapter anyway
and honor battery last longer
No headphone jack = no customer (me)... I am not going to recharge even one more gadget, just for sound.
you have battery for over 10h =D no need to recharg
No headphone jack and locked bootloader are both deal breakers for me with the Honor Note 10. Even though it has technically worse specs I'd take the Mi Max 3 any day. Excited to get mine in the mail.
The xiaomi gets more updates, has a better battery life and costs half as much, while being fast and smooth with awesome miui and being a bang for buck at the same time. Clear winner
Tobias Schneider with that not powerful soc its obvious mm3 is better in battery dept
but no amoled and preformance isnt really fast...
Kevin Leban I prefer Ips over Amoled and miui is extremely fast and with miui 10 it gets even faster for feee and you can easily play everything in the play store
then you never had real amoled phone =)
This one was requested a lot, so here it is! 06:38 you can clearly hear how much better the Note 10 speakers are.
TechTablets.com for the daily driver usage, does the HuaWei note 10 worth the extra money (as it is a flagship phone which its performance should be better) or the XiaoMi mi max 3 is more than enough( and save yourself the 150 - 250 bucks)?

if youre not a hard gamer go for mi max 3

ТЕРМИНАТОР X, As a matter of fact 👍

Mi Max 3 on the way in the mail.
I hate LCD and the rear cameras.
The xiaomi gets more updates, has a better battery life and costs half as much, while being fast and smooth with awesome miui and being a bang for buck at the same time. Clear winner
batter doesnt last longer on xiaomi...
Sure it does ^^ You just don´t have a clue
check frankie tech todays video... its live comparison
Kevin Leban yep Super Amoled Display make the Honor 10 win in battery life
its doesnt the nonor have 20% more power left over
Doesn't Mi Max 3 is half the price of Honor Note 10?
The comparison is done. You know who the winner is
Mi Max for 3, but if there was a PRO version of the Mi Max with a much better GPU, i would just at it without a second thought.
I will go for mi max3..price and bigger screen..i love watch youtbe n max3 is enough for me..im not a gamers
I'm getting 10-10.5 hrs on max 3 of screen on time without any excessive battery saving measures
(screen 40-50% brightness,
WiFi, GPS and mobile data always turned on).
I am watching mostly yt.
I had lg v10 before and mi max 3 is like heaven battery wise.
I was into mi max 3 since release but after the first part of Chris review I decided that I would buy one of myself.
Thanks Chris!
Yes I'm getting 3 days to use out of mine. 7-8 hours sot over 3 days or 13 hours of continuous use.
I am getting around 12-13 hours of screen on time on my mi max2
If I buy two Mi Max 3 for the price of Note 10, it will be 2x scores on the benchmarks, 2x louder speakers with double stereo, and almost 3d-video in 4k with perfect image stabilization. So, math is not that simple here! =)
no. you can only have 1 and half mi max 3
What a stupid comment
We are rofl-ing here.. Don't be so tough!
Hahaha.. good point though 👍
Mi max 3 with 4GB, 64GB rom...NOTE 10 with 8GB of ram, 128GB rom, while Note 10 prevails by far in terms of quality and performance...nice logic dude 😄
If compare with the price, xiaomi definitely the winner in terms of battery life, videography and system ui.
杰克斯频道Jacker.... The Honor Note 10 wipes away at the Mi Max 3 in a battery comparison test. Note 10 lasts way longer for any sort of comparison
yes more then 20% longer
I ordered Mi Max 3, research well online and make your final choice. UA-cam definitely helps, doesn't it?
Cancelled my Max 3 order today, it's game on again... Delayed 4 days to process the order maybe there's no 6Gb version in stock etc.
Yes, the price of the Galaxy Note 9 is just ridiculous!! Over 1000 euros here.
Either way, no phone is worth a thousand dollars.
aditya boyilla yeah, both from different competitive area.
Thank you for this actual comparsion! It's a pleasure to watch videos made by literate person!
Thanks
And about the video no one's better just you got that you pay. Good comparison.
There is a big advantage for the Mi Max 3 which is the unlockable bootloader
Very true That should be in there!
Unfortunately once you unlock the bootloader you cannot relock it. It’s a new policy for xiaomi to prevent selling Chinese phones as global versions so with an unlocked bootloader you cannot install apps like banking apps and apps like netflix.
Damian Han I unlock the bootloader to install custom ROMs
Damian Han you can relock it by fastboot flash lmao, don't spread fake news
Hon2838 doesn’t work for newer phones... xiaomi went hard on people who want to profit by selling Chinese phones as global
Wow.. The stereo speakers on Honor are really good. Thanks for the video..
They are one of the better ones on a mobile. ASUS Zenfone 3 Max is the only moble I've tested with better. Maybe the ZTE AXon
sol prime t-1000 speakers same
Thanks for the nice summ up, Chris!
But I also have a 4k TV and monitor.
finally the video comparison i've been waiting for. thumbs up for that! 👍
Mi Max 3 is still an amazing phone on 2022.
I agree!
First of all i would like to thank you for all of your videos regarding these two devices. I am in the same boat of not being sure which one to pick.
ufs vs emmc
nfc vs no nfc (almost a dealbreaker for me)
fragile glass back vs aluminum back
and the locked bootloader situation only if it prevents me from getting my device rooted.
Do not underestimate the overall efficiency of those Huawei in-house systems.
its mostly amoled display
Crazy man
You convinced me again Chris,my Honor note 10 8gb/128gb model is on it's way.keep the reviews coming friend.
Nice comparison.
Both great phones, but I would choose Honor Note 10. Ty
Xiaomi Mí Max 3 is the winner. I have one in the mail!
Another great comparison!! Thank you so Lucy! I think after my Lumia 950 XL, Honor is my next choice. I hope that the pics quality will be similar to Lumia.
Thanks very much for this more than competent comparison, Kind regards Richard U.K
Full and analytic comparison Chris. Thank u again for all the helpful information.
This is the video I was looking for! Thanks so much!
I went for the honor note 10 and love it. Battery is a beast. Amoled screen is very important to me I couldn't go back to LCD
I'm currently using an LG V20, I'm guessing both of these phones would be a step up in performance then?
The xiaomi gets more updates, has a better battery life and costs half as much, while being fast and smooth with awesome miui and being a bang for buck at the same time. Clear winner
249$ is for 4/64 version ;/
MIUI makes all the difference, till date the best android ROM. Once you use it you will love it. One of the reasons Xiaomi smartphones are selling like hot cakes.
Nice comparison as always Chris..!
Im Just wondering if it is possible to get EIS in my mi note 3..? 🤔
I received this super Mi max 3 a few days ago, saw the price 232 eur on Aliexpress, the datasheet, the battery 5.500mah, this super screen 6.8 inch, just beautiful, for reading, documents , videos, photos ... etc etc
personally, no need to throw more than 350 eur to really have fun, to have efficiency!
This Mi max 3 is great, bravo Xiaomi
Great comparison video. I bought a Mi Max 3 and wish I'd gone for the Note 10.
Honor are pulling ahead in each sectors from Xiaomi and other smartphones makers. Great one.❤
Si, al doble de precio.
stupid comment, honor 10 is 2x the price tag, these 2 not are in the same league.
lol, flagship vs budget. In other news, iPhone X is better than $85 phone.
They are pulling ahead in locking bootloaders. Have fun in the walled garden and no dev support.
@@Urra83 no, As honor is worse
Also, great, concise and complete comparison. 👌👏
Thanks. Now, I am going to buy the mi max 3.I only need the battery comparison. Thanks, comrade.
Ka kite
Matt
I've had an ad for the Honor 10... on your video about the Honor Note 10 (And the Mi Max 3)
Google targeting ads? No way... 🤔🤣
they must be targeting anything mi max 3
I picked up the Honor. It's really good overall but I wish the screen was brighter, that's my main complaint. Pubg performs super well on it. Movies look great too. But again, wish it could be that bit brighter...
Pretty strange that Note 10 doesn't have Bluetooth 5.0 and at the same time doesn't have a 3.5 mm jack too. Honor priority would be to provide the best performance for wireless headphones, but - no. On the other hand, max 3 has both things. Hmm...
I've had both but I really don't like the EMUI. Always stuffs things up
If it has at least the same battery stats as my current Mi Max 2 i'll be upgrading.
I'll go for Note 10 as its gpu fits the requirement of fortnite for android plus the supecharge
I'm on a Mi Max 1 and this is making me wonder if I should pass on upgrading this year as I planned:
- The Max 3 has only 20% better perfomance, a much better camera but I don't use that much, and the rest doesn't make much of a difference
- the Note 10 has stuff I hate: no jack/FM, locked bootloader, smaller battery (I know, it still seems good, but in 3 years it'll have lost 30% and will barely last a day), though AMOLED speed and pics are nice.
Great review, answered all my questions. Note 10 for me. Have a good one.
Super comparison..Really informative....thanks
Hi, thanks for your great reviews , do you know if it is possible with The max 3 to have a wired video output with an mhl cable or USB/HDMI cable?
Note 10 blows this mi max 3 away, can't wait to get mine.
Well Note 10 is 65% more expensive..so anything less would be really disappointing.
2:49 to charge the Note 10? I saw a video that said it is 1:40, also the front camera of the mi max 3 is 8mp
TechTablets.com unscripted yet one of the best comparisons. Just subscribed
No NFC, ips display, lower processor vs a device that have Amoled display, flagship soc, Dolby atmos speaker, desktop mode, gpu turbo 2.0 well Note 10 is a clear winner
Yes and its More expensive.
im one of those ppl that switch phone like every year as i get bored of one easily...i picked the mi max 3 so i can used it for a year then sell it and get mi max 4....and still pay total same as note 10...BUT that's only cuz i don't do anything required a faster chipset...PLUS i don't like anything Huawei lmao
Watching this on my mi max 2.. honor note 10 is my next devise.
Same here.. watching on mi max 2... My next phone is the Honor mostly.. cause the faster processor , amoled screen, and the 8gb ram option, better speaker
But the price not the same,
Wich is better Mi A2 or Mi 8Se or Note 10
From my Mi Max 3.
Watching on my Mi Max 2 as well, seems like Huawei is courting us Mi Max lovers and I fell already cos of the processor and storage speeds
But if the honor costs twice as much mi max 3.. that would be deal breaker for me
My current device, the Mi Max 2 and the former Mi Max 1 were decent.
How good is Huawei with security or other software updates? Xiaomi seems to support their phones pretty well for the most part.
I don't have enough experience with Huawei phones to give a proper answer. But from what I've seen Xiaomi in much better at updates.
Xiaomi give support for at least 2 years for miui update
lol that night shot @3:55 looks like a painting i would buy for 5 bucks.
Good video but personally, I just don't understand why people requesting a comparison between a mid-range phone vs flagship phone when it's obviously honor flagship gonna be miles ahead in term of specs?
Just bought a Mi max 3, gonna be great when i get it
Excellent review. Thanx a lot!
Geekbench compute score?
@@Techtablets yes
but does Honor Note 10 will come out with the global version? I know Xiaomi will since I have a mi max 2 global version
Thanks btw.
I would go for Mi Max 3 if it had NFC.
Awesome as always! Thanks!
I'm thinking of updrading to the Mi Max 3 from my Phab2 Plus. I just love big, cheap phones.😀
I'm using Honor note 10 and my friend had mi max 3. There is no comparison between these two phones just the screen size is same. All the features in note 10 are far superior than the max 3.
Please do comparisons between Note 9 and Honor Note 10
The determining factor for me among other things is the Mi Max 3 has an IPS LCD display while the Honor note 10 has a Samsung made AMOLED display. That's end of story... Mi Max 3 not for me.
Will you try to review the Honor Play?
Would be great if you could do a emui vs miui video. Just curious which is better
Why is the newly launched Honor Play price very cheap for its spec; Kirin970 and MaliG72 MP12, 6.3" screen, dual camera.
how about experience between miui and emui? which is better?
I think both devices are great. To play games in a better quality, since both have great battery, i definitly would choose Honor 10, the difference in more than 80k on Antutu is too much.
Hi which mobile camera is best xiaomi 6x or mi max 3?
Does anybody know if either one of these devices work on at&t LTE in the US ?
I will go for honor, OLED 8gb ram thats a WOW!
It's canceled Xiaomi confirmed it. Shame I wanted a SD710 Mi Max 3
Max 3 appears to have a more natural looking screen. The colors seem more accurate and less fatiguing.
Honor Note 5 @01:40 :D
Used to say redmi note 5 I guess..
Yes...
I've seen other videos where the Honor Note 10 has an Always On Display, is there a function that you didn't turn on in your previous videos?
It's on I showed it in the last 24 hours later video.
Thanks, will take a look at the one again.. Such an essential in 2018 for an OLED screen phone...
Hi Chris, can you confirm reports that the Honor goes into desktop mode when connected via HDMI? Thanks.
How long does it take for the International/Global version of Mi Max 3 to be released?
I worry about buying the 'Global Rom' models being sold at the moment because I want OTA updates from Xiaomi into the future.
you want to use miui? such a pervert )
Mi Max 3 X Iphone X (to proof that iphone is waste of money)
I've max 2.. but in max 3 xiaomi should increase their body material quality!
Huawei looks nice but price level is very high..
